For lots of nice stuff, links and so on.

My shopping list:

Peter Pilotto dress
Aquazurra heels Droool!
white skinnies (I wore my old ones out)
Mid heel stilettos (like the ones novice just purchased)

That is it so far. I have yet to be inspired this season.

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 30/01/2013 17:27

Gosh I can barely keep up! I love the idea of these Vogues stacked up, I'll put them next to my ordinary ones...I have every one since I was 14 Blush

I have only used Atterley Road once, but the customer service was very good (plus the newsletters are always so pretty!)

I'm on a spending ban too (or at least an attempt at one!) but I did just buy this, I'm pleased to find its more of a peachy nude than a brown. I plan to wear it with a vintage snakeskin belt and Gucci sunglasses from the 70s :)

Pseudonymity · 30/01/2013 17:35

Hi Marsha (hi everyone), can I ask how did the Lanvin flats fare last year? I'm considering the gold ones on NAP.

Thanks for lovely links, I hope you don't mind me popping in.

QueenCadbury · 30/01/2013 17:41

drywhite and novice I wish you hadn't linked to r&b as I'm now in love with the navy. Glad I'm not the only one to be inspired. I normally have a wish list as long as my arm once the new stock arrives in shops.

Drywhiteplease · 30/01/2013 17:51

Queen have you seen the bags that match?

BrandyAlexander · 30/01/2013 17:55

They have both worn well. Pretty much most weekends during the autumn (and the black ones to and from my office). I should say as well that they stretch. I am usually 3.5 in flats but they only had them in 3s, but the assistant convinced me that they would stretch and she was right.

MarshaBrady · 30/01/2013 17:56

AlwaysSleeping love the dress and the outfit with the vintage snakeskin belt, Gucci glasses. Perfect! And where do you keep all your Vogues. How much of a wall does it take up?

Mominatrix love that site, but I think it goes to the homepage. Flash is not our friend for linking. Which ones would you like?

Love the R&B flats.

Hi Pseudonymity great to see you on here. I possibly should have resoled, I wore them everyday and they got holes. The gold ones sound gorgeous. What else is on your SS list?

What do people do when they get new thinnish-soled shoes? Spray and resole before wearing? this is the colour I'll have to do something.

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 30/01/2013 18:04

Thank you Marsha, it's quite a plain dress on its own but I love things that give me ideas.

The Vogues take up a lot of space, I am 25 in March so there are already quite a lot, but there will be more and more. They are in s different places, but it feels like they are everywhere sometimes...

QueenBOObread · 30/01/2013 18:10

Wow this thread is rattling along now! Hurray!

Wearing Burberry Brit burgandy check shift dress, black opaques, black patent R&B heels (comfiest shoes I own) and now Joseph navy coat. Accessorised with some chipped lotus rouge on my nails - how I hate it when they get scruffy.

Love the R&B flats. I'm a huge fan but find the fit of R&B shoes inconsistent. After months of moaning about their website I prefer to go to into a shop Confused. The navy tote is SO classy but I'm off big bags having just finished my maternity leave. Small, nappy-free bags all the way!

Thanks for Marsha for the black and white skirts. Typically I like the Derek Lamb best but it's way past budget and then some. Just getting off the train now so will post more later.

Mominatrix · 30/01/2013 18:15

Marsha, I'd love to get a pair of the beige Sexy Thing. It would really become a staple. Love also the Mai Tai - would go great with the Prada dress I bought last year. While we are at it, the Tequilla Sunrise just for the sheer fabulousness. The great thing about Aquazurra is that it is not in the silly price category yet, so I might be able to contemplate getting 2 pairs.

Mrsap · 30/01/2013 18:27

Mominatrix love that link but am I being dense. I can't see how u actually buy those shoes?

BrandyAlexander · 30/01/2013 18:31

Marsha, I would resole first based on my experience when I bought my first pair of expensive flats (Choos). I complained to them after a couple of months because the soles were worn. They said that I should have resoled them first because that's what everyone does ie they weren't really designed to be worn by ladies who actually walk! Not sure Tamara Mellon would agree. Hmm

BrandyAlexander · 30/01/2013 18:34

Hello Mrsap... I posted the Balenciaga links earlier on in the thread.

Mominatrix · 30/01/2013 18:47

Ah yes, I linked the company website. This SHOULD link to buying options (Browns, Matches, etc). Prices are at Russell and Bromley levels (sometimes even less), but amazing styling.

Mominatrix · 30/01/2013 18:58

Marsha, I always take thin soled shoes to the cobbler prior to wearing. With the abuse I give to shoes, it is out of the question I would wear it without being protectively soled. I also have an armory of leather protection products - probably because I love box and saddle leathers which definitely need protection for use in UK weather.

QueenBOObread · 30/01/2013 19:06

D'you know, it's never occurred to me to pre-emptively resole shoes. Is there somewhere specialist to go? I've re-soled clumpier shoes and boots at Timpson but I wouldn't trust them with my favourites!

MarshaBrady · 30/01/2013 19:12

Me either but I definitely will now, thanks! What's a great protector? Am looking after the next ones.

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 30/01/2013 19:13

Yes, I spotted these little beauties in matches spy the other day. Definite competition for the Choos.

Mominatrix · 30/01/2013 19:43

Yes! I am infatuated with Aquazzura now. Gorgeous, well priced, and worn by Giovanna Battaglia (my girl crush).

For shoe/handbag protection, I swear by Blackrock Leather 'n Rich and Obenauf's Heavy Duty Leather Protectant. Makes expensive, delicate leathers virtually waterproof, and nourishes the leather on pricey handbags. These are I read about on an Hermes vintage leather thread which I then used for all my leather products.

QueenCadbury · 30/01/2013 19:45

drywhite I'm trying to ignore the bags on there as they are lush especially the chanel-esque ones. There is now one on my 40th birthday wish list for later in the year.

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 30/01/2013 19:48

I love the colour of those Amber

pickledsiblings · 30/01/2013 20:20

marking my place, great chat ladies, keep it up

MarshaBrady · 30/01/2013 20:43

Thanks Momin that is fantastic, will get that.

Am seriously thinking about white stilettos. Thinking. But could be fresh Fresh take!

Love the outfit here, a version here Matches.

Love the Altuzarra, going to have a peruse.
