I meant to say earlier it's good to see Hopefully back blogging with her teaser post today!

BrandyAlexander · 29/01/2013 21:57

Liberty, I am so so tempted, but, given my other obsessions (mainly shoes and jewellery!) I couldn't even begin to justify it! Dh not here tonight but I am sure he just sighed with relief Grin.

Drywhiteplease · 29/01/2013 22:07

Hello all I've moved from the Breton top thread and wondered whether I could join in?
I bought 2 Bretons today( a red and white stripe and another in black and white as i intend to work monochrome this seasonGrin)I was feeling bang on trend with my boyfriend jeans......am looking for A pointy nude ballet pump without toe cleavage ( fat duck feet).........

Drywhiteplease · 29/01/2013 22:10

And btw I bought this today to wear with boyfriends and the pumps (when I find them)
lovely

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 22:13

Hi Drywhite love the top, so pretty. Well done on the Bretons!

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 29/01/2013 22:17

Completely see through though ESP the back which weirdly is a completely different fabric to the front. Still love it though but hating this new thing in cheaper shops where the detail is on the front and the back is awful.....don't people turn round these days? ( am I getting old.....shudder)

libertychick · 29/01/2013 22:20

Welcome drywhite. Top is gorgeous - I must go to River Island more often.

libertychick · 29/01/2013 22:22

I have noticed that with several tops lately - sheer backs (which I just assumed was in) and cheap jersey backs - not good for anyone with any backfat or those of us who prefer a more industrial bra strap.

BrandyAlexander · 29/01/2013 22:23

Very nice Drywhiteplease

shopafrolic · 29/01/2013 22:24

Glad you made it Drywhite

Mrsap · 29/01/2013 22:26

Finally caught up. Novice, I am tragically corruptible, so pls share?

Hi dry white, I am fairly new to this thread too and find it far more welcoming (and interesting) than one or two othersWinkWink.

I also have a few Bretons. What can I say?

Drywhiteplease · 29/01/2013 22:29

Agree Mrsap ..........

shopafrolic · 29/01/2013 22:38

Final reductions in Atterley Road sale, spotted a nice basic American Vintage sweatshirt in white size 10 at a bargain price and a breton inspired J Crew top for £15. Night fashionistas!

libertychick · 29/01/2013 22:42

That's a bit scary Shop I just came on to post this bargain silk shirt at Atterley Rd. Wrong colour for me unfortunately.

shopafrolic · 29/01/2013 22:43

Great minds!

QueenBOObread · 29/01/2013 22:49

Drywhite that's a really lovely top. Very Isabel Marant.

I saw this skirt in Agnes B yesterday - so pretty, but I'd never buy it as it wouldn't get enough wear to justify the price tag. And it is polyester! But I am definitely in the market for a monochrome skirt if anyone sees anything of interest.

libertychick · 29/01/2013 23:01

What about this QueenBOOBread

libertychick · 29/01/2013 23:02

Smile at the fleece - cosy!

QueenBOObread · 29/01/2013 23:19

Ooh close Libertychick but I fear the pleats from the waist would emphasise my less-than-washboard-esque stomach. The print's pretty though. Thanks

Mominatrix · 30/01/2013 06:13

Love that shirt, Drywhiteplease. I love that style - it reminds me of vicotrian girls' dresses. In fact, I love the style so much that I actually own a victorian girl's dress from 1890 which I actually do occasionally wear. It is essentially that shirt in a dress style.

QueenBOO - love that skirt! I have not been in an Agnes B in over a decade. The whole poly at exorbiitant prices thing used to bother me, then you realize there is cheap poly, and then there is nice poly. Still, it is difficult to mentally pay up the nose for synthetic fibres. What style skirt are you looking for?

MarshaBrady · 30/01/2013 08:58

Me either Mominatrix, I used to love it in my twenties. I remember that dark navy with small white dots print. Especially the Floral St store, I do wonder how it's going not much Agnès B chat anymore.

QueenBoo some monochrome skirts.

DKNY may be a bit reminiscent of those 3D posters.

Zero+Mariacornejo

Too expensive Derek Lam but pretty.

Too girly Anna Sui but good discount.

Proenza Schouler shame it's viscose.

Lovely shirt Liberty.
