Morning all (including Bonsoir!). A treat for me today. Dh and I have the day off and a child free day. We're off to a gallery (just had brunch) then I am going to Selfridges (aka "the mother ship" by dh). Its been years! I wore this Damsel in a dress yesterday for first time. V flattering and absolutely stunning and highly recommend. It.

Love that Maje jacket!

Ah Shop the guy asked me what something was and I had to say I don't remember. It was years ago, I should take it off the CV I really can't recall what it was. I realise how jammy I have it with current contacts as I get to work from home when I like, doing a project is a good way to get a new client like this, but I have to do the hard part first so they trust me and know my work which is a bit of a drag. Also it's not even the first thing I love doing most, so I always drop it as soon as I can if the other thing comes along (which I wish I could say on here, but has rl name so can't, one day at voguette party Smile.)

Bonsoir bonjour! Ah I love your Spring edit. Gorgeous. How fantastic are the sunglasses! Tara Jamon has gorgeous styling, love the simplicity of the make up and hair, with the freshness of the clothes. That white pinpoint blouse is divine. The website is being silly and won't show me your skirt. Will try again later.

I have been eyeing up a heavily reduced peacoat I have always wanted, but I am tempted to skip straight to SS, especially in this glorious weather!

Oh, thanks! The link works for me. It is "Jupe Trapèze en Jacquard Noisette". I am thinking about buying the matching jacket (Veste Boîte en Jacquard) as I love the print (it is hard to see how pretty it is on the site). I also like the green "Veste Courte Jacquard Carreaux". Any thoughts?

I also need to think about footwear. I have such difficult feet and do so much walking that I always end in Tod's, which has the best compromise between comfort and glamour. But I get a bit bored with it!

Bonjour Bonsoir! The link to the skirt took me to their home page but that jacket is beautiful and those glasses are amazing! You're obviously starting to feel a little springlike? And what a thoughtful Valentine's gift!
My DH bought me the latest Nigel Slater cookbook which must sound rather dull but I love the way he writes so along with flowers and some skincare products I am a very spoilt lady.
Marsha if I do decide to go back to work when DS is a little older my interview technique is going to be so rusty it will be terrifying! What did you wear for it?
I have decided I am going to try and channel the nude pumps and blazer, skinnies etc for Spring. I bought these for AW:
Florette but am now after some ballet flats in a similar colour tone (a darker nude). Lanvin prices are out of my price range!! Any recommendations welcome.
Still no bretons delivery!

Bonjour Voguettes Smile

Finally went shopping yesterday - life has been busy, busy, busy and deeply un-stylish and I needed a blast of glamour and a new outfit for a lunch today. Went to Tara Jarmon and got this skirt and to Maje and got this jacket. And to my favourite opticians where I got the Thierry Lasry Platony sunglasses in VO11 colourway which I had been eyeing up. To top it all, DP arrived home with a gorgeous yellow/pink seahorse print Jean-Jacques Roger scarf as a Valentine's present, which will go brilliantly with all of it. Just need to decide what to wear on my legs (tights/shoes).

Pickled which bag did you get?

Shop I wouldn't mind getting it, not sure the interview was that great. I have a few clients and they ask me can you do this and I say yes, no need to explain etc. I've forgotten what it's like to be in a cold interview situation. There were things on my CV that I'd forgotten what they actually were, so that's good! But the £ is good so will take it for shoe fund if I get it.

I'm very tempted to get the Lanvins this month but might be a bit early, I need signs of Spring.

Anni, a red bag for Valentines's Day, you couldn't have planned it better. Seeing as I bought a new bag a few weeks ago I'd better wait at least another month before buying another. I'm sure it will be long gone by then Sad.

If only Anni if only!! Glad the bag is a success.
Happy Valentine's day all. Nice scarf Amber.
RL breton has been dispatched. Watch this space.
Marsha when I worked I found it increasingly hard to get excited by projects (been there done that too many times before I guess). But when I took them on, there was usually something new to inspire me, provided I clicked with the people I was working with. I'm not making much sense tonight, too much prosecco with my steak dinner (!) but try it, you might like it Grin and keep thinking about the shoes!!

Hope you get the project Marsha! For the benefit of the Lanvin fund if nothing else! I always feel like I need a treat after an interview (or meeting, finishing a project, early start..you get the picture!) so have a nice afternoon.

Liberty how exciting, love the purchases! Love having something due to try on.

I had an interview this morning for a project, but I have gone from really wanting to do it to feeling non-plussed. Although I could do with the funds for my SS collection.

I kept thinking, eyes on the prize Marsha, eyes on the Lanvin ballet flat in blush. Grin

It's that leopard top on the brain, liberty!

Oh sorry Topaz. I did wonder while I was posting if you would be able to do a return - it's a balancing act with reductions isn't it - I have lost count of the number of times I have missed out on something I wanted while hanging on for a discount. There are some Whistles shoes I really want and a couple of things in My-wardrobe and I am having to almost sit on my hands waiting for a code. As you say - win some/lose some.

Can't wait for the jacket to arrive! And serious overuse of the word 'spotted' in my post last night.

Well done on that bargain liberty. I hope you like the jacket as much as I do!

I must admit, your post had me scrabbling through my purse and bag to see if I still had the receipt. My jacket is still hanging unworn in my wardrobe so I could have done a reorder and return. Normally I keep receipts but had a tidy up and chucked it out, and the bins were emptied yesterday..... I hate to miss out on a bargain but have to accept you win some and lose some!

Novice Sad re the cardigan. How disappointing.
Amber enjoyed your 3 colours blog today - I did a 3 colours vibe myself today, black and white polka dot shirt dress (ancient from M&S) with a fitted fine knit V-Neck black cardi buttoned up, black opaques, the new clarks black ballet flats, silver jewellery with the extra colour being my red coat. Also wore charcoal fedora style hat and usual black Zara lace scarf and black P&M Milly bag.

On the ongoing mission for good wardrobe basics I really liked the warehouse leather biker Topaz bought recently and tonight spotted that Glamour magazine have a 25% Warehouse code (SPOTTED25) so swooped in and bought it! Fingers crossed it suits me....

Also on my travels today I spotted this top in river island which I thought was lovely - they also have it in oatmeal with gold design. I resisted though as sticking to my list - the exception to that being the leopard top with leather sleeves if I ever find it!
