For lots of nice stuff, links and so on.

Am sure you're doing it stylishly QueenC Grin.

Living the Center Parcs dream Queen. I always look like a knob trying to cycle in heels, and yet I won't learn.

QueenCadbury · 12/02/2013 22:21

Ha ha, I wish I was doing it stylishly but sadly not. Didn't even bring my make up bag away with me! It's actually rather refreshing not to worry about what I look like though!

libertychick · 12/02/2013 22:32

QueenC you sound perfectly styled for Centreparcs.
Marsha I love that look including the hightops - stops it from looking too formal.
Amber I imagine the silver is more 'you' but I think the other one is lovely too and very versatile

Hopefully I'm not spending much at the moment either - need to pay off the January spending and have several things on my wishlist and waiting for some offers such as possible Whistles 25% off etc. My aim this year is to slowly upgrade my wardrobe with better quality classic stuff - copying your capsule approach and I am struggling not to just cave and go on a Topshop/H&M spree!

And yes Sleep - what are you doing with the de-enabling?! I am still looking for the top though. If it's not in an italian boutique the thought occurred to me that it could be somewhere like Peacocks and the expensive illusion was all in my head.

And please someone post sandals without a strap around the ankles! I am probably going to get some Swedish Hasbeens for summer wear about 2 years behind the trend curve as usual

MarshaBrady · 12/02/2013 22:39

I like doing that on holiday too QueenC, no make up. I took so many clothes to Aus and ended up slouching around in a few of my fave things.

Liberty you're right. I might have to go for something with laces, been ages!

Hi Pickledsibling, yes I am petite, just about 5'2" and a 6-8. I described myself as short waisted because my torso is quite short but I have normal length legs. i.e. for a trouser suit, a petite jacket is best, but petite trousers are normally 28" which is too short for me, I am more like a 29"/30". Long legs? Ha! ha! ha! Grin Anyway, thanks to you and McNally for your lovely comments on my work wardrobe.

Hi to Emo and Carrie. I promise that I can Lakeland gets me quite excitied too!

QueenCadbury absolutely no point trying to look stylish at Center Parcs. Just.no.point.

pickledsiblings · 13/02/2013 09:08

novice, sounds like a great shape to be, so much more choice if legs aren't petite too. I am even shorter than you, not 'petite' and have the bunched up around the ankles look perfected - I like to think it evens out the weight of my thighs Smile.

Marsha, are you laces phobic?? I definitely think you could do monk shoes, not sure about high top converse, but perhaps low tops.

liberty, lots more colours and styles in hasbeens now, some discounts on the pastel colours here.

Amber, I love the silver B. but you may get bored with it and I'm not sure it would have a great resale value.

MarshaBrady · 13/02/2013 09:12

hah Pickled. I was just thinking about the last time I had shoes with laces. It really is a long time Confused. I can't do normal converse as get sausage feet.

I've got the indigo skinnies and white shirt, so just need sweater, jacket and shoes then Grin.

If anyone ever feels that labels aren't petite enough I recommend Preen xs as the smallest s I've seen. Think it's because they do a lot in Japan.

OP posts:
BrandyAlexander · 13/02/2013 09:35

Grin @ pickled! There was a thread a few months ago where loads of fellow shorties came out. Was great! Thanks for the tip Marsha will check out Preen later.

I am gutted. Have just opened this email: We just updated our inventory, and we are out of stock in the Helmut Lang Shawl sweater. We attempted to place a special order for you; however the designer informed us they are sold out as well. Is there another item that you would like instead? Just let me know. If not, I will go ahead and cancel your order. Thank you and I am so sorry for the inconvenience. :( Amber was sadly right, sold out everywhere. They're lovely shop though so I am going to pop in there when I am in LA in May.

Today, I am feeling cold again so back to the Austin Reed suit with a Banana Republic pink cashmere top, the Stuart Weitzmann black heels, Marcie bag, Gucci watch and a beautiful simple Amethyst bracelet on a string. I wear a pashmina as a scarf each day and todays one is a multicoloured one of red and blue hues.

Amber I agree with Pickled, between the two I would go for silver but bear in mind longevity etc. Out of a rather big collection, I only 5 black bags. One is for day use and the rest evening. I have to dress so conservatively during the day that for me, a black bag wouldn't enhance an outfit.

pickledsiblings · 13/02/2013 09:45

Marsha, black Acne blazer for your 'look'? It's sold out on mytheresa and in blue on MW, funny mix of fabrics (it may have a sheen which you probably wouldn't want) but smart without being stuffy I think.

MarshaBrady · 13/02/2013 10:08

Sad ah *Novice what a pain. Although Smile at trip to shop.

Thanks Pickled so close! I think I want a little closer to jacket than straight blazer. Or do I. It's a new world for me, need to catch up on the what's out there.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 13/02/2013 10:13

In my ideal world it would be Derek Lam type of peacoat jacket. So that's good then!

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 13/02/2013 13:32

Actually forget that, I've found a different one. I will link tomorrow if I get it.

Am in indigo skinnies, pistachio t and petrol blue Le Mont St Michel blue polo neck.

Pretty, but expensive, Erdem jacquard trousers. As long as they don't do a sofa effect!

shopafrolic · 13/02/2013 14:44

For any of you who haven't completely disowned me for my relentless breton quest. I have ordered this
Ralph Lauren
and this
Massimo
Fingers crossed!

Annianni · 13/02/2013 15:15

I have had a lovely delivery today of these beauties. I've liked these shoes for ages, and at that price it would have been rude not to.

Also waiting for 'but you've already got a red bag'... as said by my lovely dh last night.
As I explained to him, my other lovely weighs a bloody ton red bag is very nice, and I do love it.
But this will be nice if/when the weather's a bit warmer with my usual crappy summer attire of jeans and slouchy white, grey or navy tshirt.

AmberNectarine · 13/02/2013 19:39

Naughty day today. Ordered this sweatshirt and this T-shirt today, but will get lots of wear out of both so I don't feel too bad!

AmberNectarine · 13/02/2013 19:39

Did I mention that I did that today?

pickledsiblings · 13/02/2013 19:51

Anni, I am so tempted by that bag, great colour and v. light I'm sure.

Drywhiteplease · 13/02/2013 20:02

BrandyAlexander · 13/02/2013 21:06

Anni, those shoes and bag are gorgeous!!

Shop, so glad you finally succumbed and ordered the tops. Grin That RL one looks great.

By the way would it be rude to pop on the other fashion thread just to ask for more links? this morning there was an outfit that sounded great and I wanted to post where are the goddam links???Grin

MarshaBrady · 13/02/2013 21:16

Ha I get antsy on a link less thread too. Am sure if you say love the outfit link please can't go wrong.

Love the shopping today everyone! Will be joining you shortly, bear with... Grin.

Different wash here for drywhite. I do have Jimmy Jimmy, but mine are the looser, proper boyfriend fit style.

For a skinny boyfriend fit I just go up two sizes in J Brand 910s and wear a belt.

Have just paid nursery and am poor. No more spending until Silver Bag Day.

Drywhiteplease · 13/02/2013 22:07

Oh I like those too amber thanks............
