Blimey! I go away for a few hours kip and it all kicks off! Moving on.
Marsha J Brands are the only ones I go down a size in!? I wear 32 in 7FAM, 31 in James and 30 in J Brand skinnies if that helps?
Not sure why we can't link to thread Amber, v sad but please don't stop. I'm loving it!
Glad film was good Hopefully - don't leave otherwise us Autumns will be unable to dominate with our yellows and browns Grin. Keep on window shopping! Besides you've been my saviour when it comes to how to get my colours right.
Off to a toddler class this morning. Altogether now "if you're happy and you know it...."

MarshaBrady · 12/02/2013 07:47

Amber I don't understand that at all. There are blogs linked on S&B all repeatedly. Why the difference?

It is these Kinsey ones. I haven't tried them. Was tempted, but the big bold go two sizes up is worrying. Maybe not on principle!

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 12/02/2013 07:50

Extra all in there. Hopefully stick around, people don't have to spend to stay. Nice for the chat.

Well I guess someone had the last word Hmm have mnhq deleted the two other threads going which recommend fashion blogs, or was no one spiteful enough to complain about those? Hmm anyway totally moving on...

After an hour, i have abandoned the dcs as i am currently waiting for my vampy red nails to dry as forgot to do them last night. Trying to work out whether to wear my new navy austin reed dress (with blue bag) or AR trouser suit with orange kaliko cowl necked top (and orange bag).

Drywhiteplease · 12/02/2013 08:00

Ooooh I go to bed early and it all goes bonkers! I really like this thread, my little guilty lurking pleasure....always thought noddy was a v witty contributor on other threads Confused.
And I'd like to recommend
this blog it's lovely!
!
Have a good daygrin

AmberNectarine · 12/02/2013 08:05

Aargh drywhite! Stop it, I'm in enough trouble as it is!

Please let's move on as novice suggests, let's not sully this lovely thread with anymore ugliness. It is for pretty things!

BrandyAlexander · 12/02/2013 08:08

Hopefully stay exactly where you are on this thread! My buying frenzy will end soon then I will be on the bench right next to you Grin

Thanks for the reassurance everyone - I will continue to flood you all with bad influence links while spending no money myself Grin

Thanks Issimma - it was interesting to focus on a palette other than my own.

Now, a question for you all. I am quite liking (a) these harem type trousers and (b) a maxi skirt something like this (but that one not available in my size). How on earth can I style them to not look like the resident mad lady? I'm thinking for casual with my kids, rather than smart, so heels to glam them up is basically out.

Annianni · 12/02/2013 08:59

Blimey, I missed all the fun last night :o

Amber I think if you join the mumsnet bloggers network, then we can link all we like.

We're taking ds2 to the Tate at Liverpool today, so lunch out will be involved.

I shall be wearing my taupe Ash beas, which dh now refers to, as my sexy boots Blush

AmberNectarine · 12/02/2013 09:42

I have a Helmut Lang maxi like that which I wear with Pistols and a chunky knit/statement sweatshirt. Don't think I look like a mad lady but....

Sleepwhenidie · 12/02/2013 09:45

Wow, did everyone see what I did with Liberty and the animal print top? de-enablingGrin, must be careful or there'll be no thread left!

I am on the bench with you Hopefully and Novice (once a parcel from NAP finally gets here, keep missing the courier with some stuff I ordered in last day of sale, all a bit of a gamble). Almost as much fun helping everyone else spend though!

MarshaBrady · 12/02/2013 09:51

Haha Sleep Grin

You've all got to stay.

Hopefully I really like those French Connection ones. They are great, but do you think they always need heels? I fear they might, which puts them in going out territory for me. But then not sure I'd want to wear them out.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 12/02/2013 09:53

And you've all done so well to keep the economy going. I am planning to do the same very soon.

OP posts:
BrandyAlexander · 12/02/2013 09:56

Both are nice hopefully though sadly not for my body shape...5' 2" and short waisted! Think I really like the harem trousers.

After dithering for ages I finally went for Austin Reed black crepe dress, Hobbs wool jacket and Christian Louboutin patent shoes. Jewellery...I went for pearls and diamonds. Haven't worn pearls in a long time! Bag is Chloe Marcie. I am a total label saddo today! Have a great day everyone...must actually pay attention to my conference call now! Grin

MarshaBrady · 12/02/2013 09:57

Not a label-saddo Novice. Very chic! Enjoy conf call.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 12/02/2013 10:25

Mind you when the labels are Chloe, Balenciaga etc who cares!

Ok have date with a cold park, best get ready.

AmberNectarine · 12/02/2013 10:27

DVF and Michael Kors with a Marc Jacobs bag and Calvin Klein coat for me today

My vest is H&M though

pickledsiblings · 12/02/2013 10:28

novice, I was getting excited at the fact that you are a fellow shorty until I realised that 'short-waisted' actually means 'long-legged' Smile. Are you petite like blue2711? Outfit sounds lovely.

Marsha, the hardest working items in my wardrobe are my J Brands - so worth spending £100. I'm not sure you've found the perfect brand of premium denim for you yet. You should do what I did and order loads of pairs (choose your 5 fav brands and a couple of styles each) from somewhere that does free delivery/returns. You then have a massive try on and compare session. It worked for me and I can now buy with confidence (not sure if that's necessarily a good thing Grin).

MarshaBrady · 12/02/2013 10:34

That's a great thing Pickled. I love the MiH Paris, some don't get on with them, but they are really me. Haven't ordered enough J Brands to know which ones are best, but I love the J Brand skinny cords, so luxe. Wear them too much.

I'd like to try on Goldsign to see. And would like to find which vintage blue denim is best. That is going to be hard actually as that is starting from scratch. I probably won't order loads, but will go in store to try on. Hope Liberty has a good selection.

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 12/02/2013 10:38

Funny isn't it? Those MiH paris looked so bad on me. You like your Avedons though, don't you Marsha?

MarshaBrady · 12/02/2013 10:39

They're pretty good, but not perfect. They good be even more solid indigo

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 12/02/2013 10:40

could be

OP posts:
McNally · 12/02/2013 10:40

Work outfit sounds great novice. In fact your whole work wear board on Pinterest is great. Particularly jealous of the Nancy and Marcie. As another 5' 2" shorty I'm inspired for my return to work post maternity leave.

Not doing anything too exciting today, so just in indigo J Brands, heatech top and black Brora cashmere cowl neck jumper.

Haven't tried J Brand cords, but maybe they'll be my next purchase.

pickledsiblings · 12/02/2013 10:48

McNally, they are v. lovely, I got mine (lovely dark grey/mulberry colour - "nightingale") from Donna Ana in the sale. I think there may be some more on there.
