Thermals Marsha!
All about grey and warm. Grey Uniqlo thermals. Grey short sleeved A&W sweat, grey wool A&W trousers, snow boots, and leather jacket and gilet combo with grey knitted hat! Not very glam!

Has anyone bought from Lyst.com? Are they okay?

shopafrolic · 11/02/2013 10:11

Damn it!! Thought I'd found the RL Tori breton via Lyst at Saks Fifth Ave but it says they won't ship to the UK.........

BillStickersIsInnocent · 11/02/2013 10:33

Can I crash in here please and ask about the Whistles jersey tube skirt Amber linked on her blog? Does anyone have it?

It's just what I've been looking for, but care instructions say dry clean. It's only cotton and elastane so can't see why it couldn't go in the machine. Any advice?

Morning all! Struggled through the snow this morning wearing my new Austin Reed grey flannel suit. Feels gorgeous! Rarely buy trouser suits these days and its beautiful. And importantly warm! Also, Zara pink shirt and then Stuart Weizmann for russell and bromley black patent pumps. Black cashmere coat to keep warm. Was wearing my merrells Natalya now boots outside. Functional and warm! Have a fab day everyone.

Gingersnap88 · 11/02/2013 11:29

Am enjoying the blogs Amber and Hopefully, thanks for sharing.

Bloody snow, I was hoping for my parcels!

Hopefully · 11/02/2013 11:52

Bill I have the jersey tube skirt in khaki, and it is ridiculously comfortable, v easy to wear, and has been through the wash about 17,000 times without appearing to suffer any damage. Never even occurred to me to dry clean it. Not sure I've even looked at the care label...

Today I am sporting

  • khaki me&em dress (gosh, that's original for me - I only wear one about, ooh, four times a week)
  • brown thermal opaque tights
  • suede boots
  • beige waterfall cardigan
  • chunky brown pirate belt over the top of cardigan
  • many many many bracelets all up my arm
  • warm grey nail varnish (thank you secret santa!)
  • chunky gold necklace

I quite like my look today, but you'd hope so - I wear it often enough!

BillStickersIsInnocent · 11/02/2013 13:01

Thanks Hopefully.

MarshaBrady · 11/02/2013 13:03

Oh to still work in an office. Can hardly wear that round Sainsbury's!! Or do you think you could dress it down?

MarshaBrady · 11/02/2013 15:02

It is gorgeous. How about out? Make someone take you to dinner in it!

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 11/02/2013 15:04

I reckon you could wear it for lunch on a weekend too.

Lovely dresses Marsha and shopaholic. Think the Helmut Lang could be dressed down and would look really good with a biker jacket?

Thanks for that Brora link liberty. Looks like a good alternative to the C&P.

Feeling under the weather so outfit today is not worth describing!

shopafrolic · 11/02/2013 15:19

Sooooo tempted but am going to be good. Too many things I want for Spring.

Sleepwhenidie · 11/02/2013 16:16

Hi everyone, love that MK (why not round Sainsbury's shop? Would look lovely with flat sandals and lots of bracelets - need better weather thoughGrin). Also love the Helmut Lang but I am not spending. I made a list of everything I bought since 1 Jan and it was Shock, mainly due to the leather trousers admittedly but I really need to behave for at least a month or so.

So so sick of this weather, I have pretty much lost interest in wearing anything stylish, just want warm. Am wearing black Zara jaquard trousers with gold zips with thick pale grey honeycomb knit duffy cashmere jumper, Bowies (don't want to get the lovely new Pistols wet) and blue/grey leopard scarf.

I got white Always Skinny Gap jeans last summer and was pretty happy with them, was wary of investing lots in white jeans that wouldn't stay white long enough to justify their price, figured Gap easily chucked once a bit grey looking/ stained by grubby mitts in easy reach, guaranteed with my DC's.

Blog is coming along well Amber. Enjoying yours too HopefullyGrin

Just a quickie to say that there's £50 a £250 spend on new season items at My-Wardrobe with the code NEWSTYLE50

AND

you can get 15% cashback through Quidco at the moment.

MarshaBrady · 11/02/2013 16:45

Love those jacquard Zara skinnies.

Yes could do the MK round sainsbury's. Shop was pondering whether the HL would be ok in the bread aisle Grin. But I think you've made the right decision Shiop, go for Spring.

I realise now I really want a honeycomb knit jumper! When did you get yours Sleep?
