This is a keeper - different shape to the other cumin Kain tee - slightly shorter and more fitted.
Kain stripe

Annianni · 06/02/2013 17:51

Thanks Decameron it is a nice bag, it just weighs a bloody ton.

The jeans have passed the test, had to hitch them up slightly a couple of times, but they still look nice and not 2 sizes too big, like my gap ones would do by now

I could have quite happily purchased these today...

Nice bag
Another nice bag

I could have easily spent a fortune. Ds2 was very good, held my hand and walked round nicely (with bribes of escalator rides) So I actually got 3 whole hours of shop browsing done!

Oh, and following on from dc fashions... Ds2 was rocking a red and black Gap tiger tshirt, M&S jeans, Clarks shoes and a Tesco vest.

We should be going again next week when dh is off work, so I might actually get to try things on then :o

Drywhiteplease · 06/02/2013 18:00

Wow this thread moves fast!!!!
Amber I will look at Goldsign thanks. Was getting v excited that you were K Jenkins or someone for a mo!
shop will look at J Brand cropped Envy at your long legs. I'm 29" Grin although I must give off a tall aura as people are always surprised when I sy I'm just under 5 3" ( that or the heels!)
sleep good god that jacket is quite something.......would love to wear it in a playground in one of the village schools up here!!!!!!!
queenC I was riveted by that mom bum jeans link too......but just because the Gap R Straight look bad on some doesn't mean they look bad on you....I've seen them look fab on some friends.
QueenBoo have just seen those Grenson brogues in pale blue in my size......what do I do? They're lovely and I'm not supposed to be spending! Do I try the inheritance card?

Re fur........I'm not v sentimental ( have pheasants hanging in garage as we speak....ugggh......I hate pheasant, I get them plucked, put them in the freezer for a bit and then bin them without telling Rambo!!) I just don't get the " it's ok if it's vintage argument".... Is it just me?

Drywhiteplease · 06/02/2013 18:04

Oh and at the bottom of my list.......I tuck, unless its a fitted shirt, and I'm fancying a Cacharel/ Liberty type little flowery print fitted shirt, pref without a collar, pref lawn cotton or silk....I'm not specificGrin, anyone seen anything?

And the playgrounds here are Boden Boden Boden Boden.......

shopafrolic · 06/02/2013 18:20

We eat all the pheasant / duck etc that DH shoots (he plucks it), but I still couldn't wear fur. IMO one is food, one is vanity. Perhaps I just have double standards!

shopafrolic · 06/02/2013 18:23

Back to the vanity though Grin - cream Houlihans arrive tomorrow. As my DS clings to my leg with his grubby little mits I'm wondering if they'll be the smartest purchase?

QueenBOObread · 06/02/2013 18:29

Shop the pale blue caught my eye too... So pretty

AmberNectarine · 06/02/2013 18:31

Anni if you don't want a heavy bag, don't get a Rocco!

libertychick · 06/02/2013 20:51

Finally got my crumpet cardi today (Donna Ida sale) and such a disappointment. It has the grand total of 4% cashmere with about a dozen other fibres involved - almost 60% viscose and acrylic - yet it has a note attached talking about using a cashmere comb, the importance of dry cleaning and advising to put it away in a bag to avoid moths - no self respecting moth would go anywhere near it!

It's enormous - the descriptions says fitted style and I am a fairly standard 10/12 on top so assumed medium would be fine. The buttons are very badly put on, 2 of them on the verge of falling off. It has to go back so between delivery charges and what it will cost to return I have spent £10 trying on a crap cardi...

Live and learn....I will never again purchase online without a detailed fabric description...or else stick with places like Atterley Road - free delivery and free returns.

MarshaBrady · 06/02/2013 20:54

Argh I hate that Liberty .

Love the orange Rocco Anni. Think I just love orange atm.

Shop I know what you mean ds, age 3, is always giving me cuddles etc. It's one reason I have so many denim skinnies so easy to wash.

OP posts:
BrandyAlexander · 06/02/2013 20:58

I shouldn't laugh liberty but your post was v funny!Grin

AmberNectarine · 06/02/2013 21:02

Donna Ida fabric descriptions are dodgy. I bought this top which is clearly described as 100% silk. It is 100% viscose!

Drywhiteplease · 06/02/2013 21:09

Sorry to ask.....But are any of you the "worn out" blog ladies? On another thread someone said it was the A +W ladies? Love that blog. Just wondering?

AmberNectarine · 06/02/2013 21:13

None of us no. Some members of A&W left to start a separate group a while back and they are the Worn Out ladies. They post on S&B too. V stylish ladies - Eve and Rachel are my faves.

I am finally going to be in possession of a full length mirror again this weekend after a year, so, when I've recovered from the shock of seeing what I really look like, I'm thinking of starting a little blog.

libertychick · 06/02/2013 21:14

It's an outrage Amber, a total fking outrage. Thanks for the shaken fist Marsha, I have to resist the urge to jump up and down on it in temper.

will remember the cruel and heartless laughter when novice has a shopping disaster

Envy at all the cuddly little DS's you have. My DD is currently on an affection strike - I come in from work to be greeted with a shriek of 'no kissy mammy'. I am allowed a cuddle at bedtime and that's it.

libertychick · 06/02/2013 21:17

Oh yes, an Amber blog - about time too!

MarshaBrady · 06/02/2013 21:17

Ah mine is constantly around me. Makes my coffee, does the keys, hoovering. Sometimes it's nice just to make a coffee solo.

Do it Amber, would be good.

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 06/02/2013 21:17

My DS is very vocal in his 'oh, mum' when I try to kiss him. He is just 3.

AmberNectarine · 06/02/2013 21:21

Well it would give people something to laugh at, if nothing else!

shopafrolic · 06/02/2013 21:23

Do it Amber PLEASE! I'd love to read your blog.
Liberty Might be worth an email to Donna Ida not mentioning the sizing issue but telling them they got the product description wrong and as a result could they cover the costs of delivery and returns. Trading standards and all that!

libertychick · 06/02/2013 21:25

That is a good idea Shop I will check their website for a customer services email.

BrandyAlexander · 06/02/2013 21:28

Oh don't you worry liberty you won't have too long! I mostly shop online so disasters are a regular occurrence Grin

Annianni · 06/02/2013 21:29

I doubt i'll get a Rocco Amber, not at the moment anyway.

I could do with a nice medium sized cross body bag, that's not heavy and not too £££ if anyone has any suggestions?

I almost fainted in the post office yesterday, when the nice post office lady said it was going to cost £25 to send those 4 pairs of jeans back to Donna Ida.
She managed to do it for half that in the end, but I still wasn't impressed.

Those shoes arrived today, the taupe ones didn't get sent out as they were faulty, and the brown ones are very stiff and a bit ugly looking on, so they're going back tomorrow.

Ds1's school yard is full of mum boots and ankle flapping bootcuts.
There's a few mums in Uggs or Converse and that's it.

Wasn't there someone on this thread with a supermodel at their school?

MarshaBrady · 06/02/2013 21:40

That's extortionate! Didn't realise it was ye olde post office. Am sticking to DHL.

Yes Bonsoir. A great Parisian school run.
