For lots of nice stuff, links and so on.

I'm sure you have a lovely set of pins in reality, Liberty! Lovely cardigan.

Wearing pale grey DKNY sweater, white H&M top, Goldsign skinny jeans and black Love from Australia boots. Colour is added by my red eyes (conjuncitivitis).

Great boots, Shop. I have abandoned the Balaenciaga fund, maybe will resurrect it for a Burberry pea coat.

Decameron · 03/02/2013 15:13

Grin At sheep chasing legs liberty.

Love the shorts, am struggling with what to put on my legs ATM. Love my leather leggings, and wear Me&Em dresses/whistles tube skirt with opaques and boots, but just can't seem to work out a good way of wearing jeans right now. Possibly because I am feeling a bit fat (fingers crossed current ridiculous exercise regime puts paid to that soon).

QueenBOObread · 03/02/2013 18:06

Oh that Burberry pea coat is so well cut.

I pinned and lusted after the Burberry Brit toggle pea coat all winter but when I came to try it on, it lacked "wow" tailoring. Those pleats make all the difference. While trying it on, I tried one of their longer coats and was so impressed. I wasn't in the market for a new full-length coat so didn't hump at it, but wish now that I had. It was gorgeous.

Officially on my Autumn/Winter 2013 wishlist: Burberry coat.

AmberNectarine · 03/02/2013 18:23

Hopefully did you get that McQ dress in the end?

Topazandpearl · 03/02/2013 18:49

Irish here as well, but I like my legs as long as they are clad in opaques! Just cannot do the tanning thing, either real or fake. One of the reasons why I prefer winter to summer clothes.
I have placed my first AR order (silk shirt and red skinnies. Looking forward to receiving them.
Hopefully can you let us know how to find your blog? Thanks.

Hopefully · 03/02/2013 18:55

Which one Amber? The rope/chain print dark green one I ordered had a v peculiar hem, which looked scruffy on me.

Hopefully · 03/02/2013 18:57

Topaz blog is here.

AmberNectarine · 03/02/2013 19:02

The one you were looking at just before Christmas, lots of colours, high neck, was lovely...

Hopefully · 03/02/2013 19:17

Ooooh, that one. Sent it back. The colours were too wishy washy for me, and the fabric was a bit too heavy for the neckline, it slightly pulled it out of shape. It was a kind of heavy ponte type fabric, but don't think it was 100% artificial.

LeFreakCestChic · 03/02/2013 21:44

Can't link on phone but can do lots of typos!
Velvet skinnies from Toast- thought they might do for both work & weekend. Toast can be risky, sone lovely stuff but some frumpy. Fingers crossed for these.
Saw post on Hudson boots and am tempted by the coal enckes. Already have the beige horrigans and they're the comfiest boots I've owned.
Crap weather here so what's a girl to do but go shopping? bought:
Stila convertible colour for a spring time glow (!)
EL insatiable nail varnish (if its good enough for Sali... But need DC to be out of the house for an hour so i can apply it properly)
Clarins lipstick
Rommel apocolips

Apple purée. Then went home and cleaned the kitchen.

LeFreakCestChic · 03/02/2013 21:55

And of course, that is Rimmel. Don't think Nazi officers had much truck with lip gloss. Although could be wrong.

Queen, glad I am not the only one who has started on the AW 2013 list!

Topaz, I like the jeans and shirt. I hate sunbathing but Dove Daily Tanner is the business.

QueenBOObread · 03/02/2013 22:55

LeFreak I'm very much enjoying the typos.

My-Wardrobe is IME by far the best at issuing discount codes. One has just finished for £50 off a £200 spend abut they come along pretty regularly. I'll post if I see another one.

It's worth joining their loyalty scheme - you get extra codes, sale previews and £25 vouchers (I think?) for every £500 cumulative spend. I also go through Quidco and get varying amounts of cashback - they have the odd spell where it's 15% or 20%. You can get Quidco to send an email when the cashback rate changes and they have a connected deal.

BrandyAlexander · 04/02/2013 07:07

Morning all! Off to work today. Had a last minute sales splurge yesterday on some work stuff from Austin Reed. Bought a few dresses and a suit. Very good discounts! Also bought a couple of kaliko tops from John Lewis, they were £15 each. Will link later. Have a fab day.

Annianni · 04/02/2013 08:24

My Donna Ida delivery is due today, i'll report back later.

QueenCadbury · 04/02/2013 09:38

It's spring in the air. Off shoe shopping for dc3 so will have a little peek for me whilst at the shops!

Annianni · 04/02/2013 10:41

I love Donna Ida.
Just had a frantic trying on session with ds2 (22 months) wanting to join in :o
I'll try them all on again later when he has a nap.

The Goldsign are amazing. I can see why Amber likes them, they are velvet soft, great fit and very flattering. Definately keeping them.

The Hudson are lovely too, butter soft denim and more of a relaxed straight fit, than bootcut. And the 32 was too big, it's been a while since I needed a smaller size than that. So i've re-ordered them in the 31 (fingers crossed) because they were nice.

The Nobody are also nice, lovely denim and fit, but they are what I would call proper skinnys and are too fitted on my calves (not a good look) so they are going back.

And finally we have the James, lovely colour, the same as the prune bowies, but not a good style for me. The fabric was good and holdy-in but the pocket placement on the back made me have a saggy bum, so they are going back.

And while I was ordering the Hudson in a smaller size, these Goldsign and these Hudson fell into my basket. The Goldsign are a smaller size but i'm juicing at the moment and have lost 3lb in 4 days, so I think they are worth a try. And i'm not sure about the pale denim of the Hudson but they might be nice for Spring.

Must not spend any more money, need to buy the materials for an attic conversion soon which won't be cheap.

MarshaBrady · 04/02/2013 10:53

Excellent Anni love the report back post! Great shopping.

Topaz love the skinnies and silk shirt. Really lovely.

Mine are on their way from Donna Ida too.

shopafrolic · 04/02/2013 11:57

2 parcels waiting for me at home apparently! Place your bets on whether that top is silk or not!

MarshaBrady · 04/02/2013 12:47

The Nobody black skinnies have arrived. Agree with Anni very much a skinny just get foot through bottom type thing. But love the high rise waist.

Also I couldn't size up like they advised as they had sold out. Not sure how much they stretch. They are fab though.

blondassassin · 04/02/2013 13:13

Hi everyone,

No time to catch up yet but loving all the Donna Ida reporting! Still waiting for my delivery, will hopefully be this afternoon. Marsha I was looking at the moss coloured Nobody's but didn't order as only my regular size 26 left - think we are similar size, do you reckon they will be ok? (I'm tiny of hip/bum but not much of a waist so worried high rise will cut me in half!!)

Nice to see Hopefully and Decameron back again. I have shamelessly copied and pinned the orange dress and shoes linked by Hopefully and Amber. Now on my list for spring along with a bright green jumper, maybe Michael Kors.

Will be back later with my Donna Ida report Grin

blondassassin · 04/02/2013 13:14

'not much of a waist' - as in not much smaller than my hips!

Sleepwhenidie · 04/02/2013 13:34

Hi everyone, another long time lurker coming out of the woodwork here, I think the snipey threads having a go may actually have been a good thing, seems they've shown regular Vogue posters to be a welcoming bunch and it sounds like a few newbies have arrived as a result so nerr to the bitchiness Grin

In advance of joining in here, I created a pinterest board of my current wardrobe yesterday - I love it but it shocked me how little variation in colour there is (ongoing theme anyone?)...so I would love any suggestions for what I could get to brighten it up a bit more? I am thinking of buying a fine knit neon yellow sweater to wear peeping from under my grey sweaters. I have quite pale skin with blonde hair and brown eyes, no idea where I would be in HOC but don't think yellow all over would be it! I also tend to avoid pattern, particularly on my top half.

Potential purchases I am considering other than the yellow top are
-new blue jeans - thinking from reading here that maybe I should try Goldsign?
-New boots, I love my bikers but perhaps I should get some Pistols...or something different?
-leather leggings...yes, no? Pleather a cheaper option? I am a bit concerned that they are everywhere at the moment, not often in a good wayWink, is it a trend that is about to die?
