I have burned all my tunics and am now embracing the sequin short with pride. DD2 is going to be so thrilled when I turn up to her school concert tonight.

For the record I favour the latter with biker boots but only because I cannot wear leggings - they all make me look hideous. Am a 10 top, 12 bottom. Seeing as leggings are basically the same as skinny jeans or dark tights I can never quite work out why. But they do.

I am going to wear leather skinnies, sequinned jacket and stilettos until I am informed otherwise by mumsnet
