Will this fit the bill. Dull but seasonal?

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 28/01/2013 16:46

It must be, OQC, it's mostly air!

herbaceous · 28/01/2013 16:53

Mmmm. Mint aero.

It's quite odd. I feel very hungry, then it goes away again. I think I might live.

bigTillyMint · 28/01/2013 17:27

Nah, mint chocolate is disgusting. Almost as bad as mint choc chip ice cream which is the only ice cream I would ever turn down! Don't like nuts in chocolate either!

MrsSchadenfreude · 28/01/2013 17:29

I made some chocolate and mint brownies the other week. They smelled exactly like mint aero. But tasted better - there was none of that airy bubbly nonsense. (I am not thinking of the calories...)

I cannot bear to be in the same room as AB at the moment. I get all stabby.

MrsSchadenfreude · 28/01/2013 17:30

But I think if I got a knife out there would be a queue of people waiting to hold him down. Grin

oldqueencrepey · 28/01/2013 17:53

step away from the sharp objects mrs s.... step away.
have some carbs instead, v v soothing.

Stropperella · 28/01/2013 18:10

My bro gave me some 100% cocoa chocolate for Christmas (amongst other tasty things) and I used it to make some no-flour brownies yesterday. Very grown-up ultra-chocolatey taste. And so strong that you can't eat more than 2 at a time. Well, I did manage 3 yesterday, but I felt a bit sweaty afterwards. So I kept to 2 today.

Stropperella · 28/01/2013 18:12

See, that's my idea of a diet: only 2 brownies a day. Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 28/01/2013 19:00

I bought a bar of expensive chocolate tonight (with salty caramel bits) and ate the lot. I do not a) usually eat chocolate - can have it hanging around the house for weeks or b) not share. But I had over half a bar of chocolate with salty nuts left over the other week, and found that DH and the DDs had troughed it one night when I was out working late. I wasn't impressed.

I am barely drinking at the moment but DH is making up for it, by "finishing up the Christmas Leffe." All four litres of it in an evening...

bigTillyMint · 28/01/2013 19:12

Barely drinking MrsS? What has come over you?Grin

herbaceous · 28/01/2013 19:21

Made a marvellous salty discovery at Christmas - Waitrose salted caramels. All liquidy salty caramel, and really crisp chocolate shell.

Just eaten my cauliflower and tofu stir-fry. Tomorrow I shall come and help Strops eat her brownies.

bigTillyMint · 28/01/2013 19:31

Ah now salted carament ice cream is my favouriteSmile

bigTillyMint · 28/01/2013 19:31

caramel, of course!

oldqueencrepey · 28/01/2013 19:54

m and s do peanut butter ice cream that is extraordinarily good.... is that low carb?

Blackduck · 28/01/2013 19:55

MrsS when you get that job that puts you above AB please take the time before you leave to tell him exactly what you think of him in great detail (and post it on here too) :)

Hungry?

MrsSchadenfreude · 28/01/2013 20:22

Yes, I'm getting confused too. (Admittedly this is easily achieved.)

DD1 is TWELVE on Saturday. Even more dauntingly, she has invited round two lovely girls (both new BFFs from secondary, which is nice) one of whom is violently allergic to nuts. Cannot do ANYTHING with chocolate in it as all the choc/cocoa I can find has 'may contain nuts', ditto ice cream. So it's home made nutrition all the way, then

Stropperella · 28/01/2013 21:13

I'm with MrsS on the tofu and cauliflower stir fry. Will do my best to save you a couple of brownies, Herbs! Grin OQC - M&S do peanut butter ice cream? I shall go and investigate the freezers of our puny branch before the week is out. PnB ice cream.... mmmmm.

BTM, I must have missed the bit about Cubana - where's that then? And what time is everyone pitching up there?

Stropperella · 28/01/2013 21:18
