Will this fit the bill. Dull but seasonal?

MrsS, go get that job. I sooo want to be a fly on the wall for that moment when you tell AB you've got it. Grin

V. much looking forward to the 8th and am hoping for a smoother ride with SW trains than I had last time (saga of compensation for nicked suitcase still ongoing and too boring to recount). BD, are you not due a belated b-day celebration?? C'mon!

BTM, I know what you mean about celebrating the differences, but sometimes we have to face the fact that our "differences" might mean that mainstream expectations can do us more harm than good and we need to be brave enough to find a different way of thinking/doing/being in order to be healthy and happy. Just IMO, of course. :)

Blackduck · 24/01/2013 19:47

Good luck MrsS! (Getting in early in case I forget tomorrow morning).

Second weekend of birthday treats (postponed from last week) has just crashed and burned... Am :(

MrsSchadenfreude · 24/01/2013 20:19

BD - Sad

And thank you for your good wishes, y'all. I have decided to complain officially about AB. I am up to my ears in work (much of which he has delegated) and my diary is packed to bursting. His reads like this: Monday - lunch with A, Tuesday - lunch with B, Wednesday - lunch with C, Thursday - lunch with D, Friday - work from home (where he is never online and never contactable). However, I am putting this to one side till next week, when my interview is out of the way.

Had some very sad news tonight. My Aunt (Mum's sister) has terminal cancer, and it is a matter of months. My cousin said she has accepted it, and they are going to sort out the will and care package for my uncle (who has Alzheimers) over the next week. She had melanoma, and it spread to her lungs; now it has gone to her bones and liver. Will ring my mother in a minute. They never got on, but have phoned each other twice a week every week as long as I can remember.

bigTillyMint · 24/01/2013 20:41

BD you MUST come to the meet up - we will help you celebrate in true styleSmile

Oh MrsS, how sad.

Blackduck · 24/01/2013 21:00

MrsS good on you! He deserves everything he gets.

Sorry to hear about your aunt.
BTM - I am giving it very serious thought!

motherinferior · 24/01/2013 21:27

Oh MrsS, I am so sorry.

Good luck for tomorrow, Mrs S. If they offer you the job, just say yes, and then stall on the contract. Slightly immoral, but gives you the chance to look at the other opportunity...... Worse things have been done before.....

And go girl, on the AB complaint. He needs taking down!

I'm sorry about your aunt, I hope you and your mum find a plan for the next few months.

Must book my train ticket for the meet up - I've rather rashly asked dd1 to come up to town the next day to go to two photography exhibitions... Will I really feel like it? Smile

herbaceous · 25/01/2013 10:52

Good luck Mrs S!

And do complain about ArseBoss. It will be our first blow in our fight back against confident incompetents running the world. See also: George Osbourne.

Fatness news: been doing my fitness pal, and trying to eat about 1200 calories a day, for a couple of weeks. Amount of weight lost: 0lb. Yet before Christmas, with no kitchen, the weight was falling off. What can it all mean?

oldqueencrepey · 25/01/2013 11:21

yes, Go Go Go Mrs S. looking forward to hearing you aced it...

bigTillyMint · 25/01/2013 13:10

Oh we are verrrry scaryGrin

Have we decided what time I should book the table for?

oldqueencrepey · 25/01/2013 13:25

will leave the time up to others... am easy and quite near South Bank / Waterloo. Am sitting here with looming deadline for big piece of written work... by the time of the meetup it will be well and truly finished... it's the bit in the middle that I'm not enjoying... please tell me to get the f off MN and WRITE.

oldqueencrepey · 25/01/2013 13:28

... but before I go what do you think to these...? Hate Boden as a matter of priciple but these are £39 with preview discount, and I am rather partial to a pair of chinos and like the grey...?

oldqueencrepey · 25/01/2013 13:29

oops. link would help!

[[http://www.bodenpreview.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Trousers-Jeans/Trousers/WM341/Womens-Ankle-Skimmer-Chinos.html?NavGroupID=19 mumsy or useful?

oldqueencrepey · 25/01/2013 13:30

shoot me now.

final attempt

herbaceous · 25/01/2013 13:32

Re timings, I'll probably have to wait until DP gets home after work so we can do tag team, so don't wait for me.

Re queen trousers - I like them, but still seem a bit steep for £39!

bigTillyMint · 25/01/2013 13:45

OQC, they look quite nice, but a bit too summery for this weatherGrin

oldqueencrepey · 25/01/2013 13:49

with Boden I won't get them until may probably... forward planning and all that!

I like them. Although on me, chinos look really rather odd.

Stropperella · 25/01/2013 18:35

Nice trews, OQ.

Am available from 6pm on 8th Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 25/01/2013 18:58

THE INTERVIEW WAS AWFUL AND I WAS UTTERLY CRAP.

But I have wine and am going out in a minute.
