I was thinking on my commute into work this morn how since I have been using this thread I have directly bought a number of beauty products based on recommendations from other mumsnetters Grin. I have listed below and also whether I rate them in the hope others might do the same?

Moroccon oil ? wonder product hair lost frizziness and is sleeeker, exoensive but lasts ages
Rapid Lash serum ? again great product really noticed a difference
Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation ? amazing will never go back and I had tried all the big brands. YSL, Chanel etc?
Tuban Towel - hmmm not sure on this one, normal towel was just fine
Clarins Mascara Fix Brilliant product ? keeps lashes in place with no smudging all day
Bare Mineral Mineral Veil Powder - Great stuff ? reduces shine and has a high SPF factor
Clinique City Block SPF 40 - Ok, not sure I will buy again, still searching for a high SPF day wonder product
Decleor Neroli Face Oil - Love it! New essential part of skin care routine

I am sure I will think of others?.

I have just ordered the frenc connection tunic someone linked to.

Also:
Rapid lash serum - have also told mostwomen I know about it
Benefit's Porefection - no more protect and perfect for me
Several items of clothing - all great with the exeption of one maxi dress (the fabric was horrid)

Thats all I can remember for now...

Hopefully · 23/08/2012 10:03

Oil cleansing method stuff
Rosehip oil (which has saved my skin!)
A Brora cardigan
Stella and dot jewellery

HappyGirlNow · 23/08/2012 10:03

Oh god, it's cost me £hundreds Blush Mainly clothes.. I sometimes I wish I could block it but I'd miss it too much Grin

monkeysmama · 23/08/2012 10:04

I wonder how many of us started using the Decleor Neroli serum after MrsMartin waxed lyrical about it.

Downbytheocean · 23/08/2012 10:08

I am an s&b lurker and had to have a self-imposed ban for the last month for fear of more purchases!
Rapid lash - not seeing any results yet after 6 wks, maybe applied too little to start with!
Seche vite - fab
Benefit porefessional - not so great, not worth £23 or whatever it was!
Mumsnet scarf - beige/pink animal print, love it and a bargain
Towel turban - hmmm, not sure hair is any dryer than with a towel but a bargain anyway.
I've looked longingly at every handbag, ballet shoe, jeans, makeup and dress link. I've copied links to a birthday/Christmas lists.
S&b is a dangerous place to be but I'm back again Grin

musttidyupmusttidyup · 23/08/2012 10:10

Coconut oil - cheap and good hair mask
Moroccan oil - ditto OP wonder product
Mumsnet scarf Smile
Babyliss BigHair - I retired my straighteners it's that good
Various S&G products (excellent brow pencil esp)
Astral-as a night cream - bloody great and cheap as chips
Sally Hansen leg make up - have given up all other fake tans now, just slap it on with a mitt and dry for five, makes my otherwise so-white-they-are-blue legs passable
I'm sure I'll think of more.....

Downbytheocean · 23/08/2012 10:13

Also an addiction to Hush. I bought the Breton dress and coveting much more.
I really want to read the mumsnet vogue thread but I'm scared of the repercussions.

YouHaveBeenOutbid · 23/08/2012 10:20

Babyliss Big Hair - a recommendation from the first S & B thread I ever read. It's amazing! I've never been good with my hair and now I look like I've just stepped out of a salon (shows age).

KateSpade · 23/08/2012 10:30

Babyliss big hair. Used it three times when I had my extensions is, took about 45 mins but the wavy style lasted all day & night! However, it takes too long.

Lush face scrub called something along the lines of angel face. It's so good it's C&P standard! I never know what to buy from lush, but that is fab!

rainonmyparade · 23/08/2012 10:42

Another Babyliss Big Hair. Really fab. Coveting Moroccan oil and Rapid Lash at the moment.

rainonmyparade · 23/08/2012 10:43

Forgot Decleor Prolagene Gel!

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 23/08/2012 10:48

a good coat for the school run (covers all sorts of fashion faux pas)
good shoes and a beautiful handbag.

OhThisIsJustGrape · 23/08/2012 11:04

Gah, waaaaay too much Blush

*Babyliss Big Hair - have a bit of a love/hate relationship with it tbh, not ready to ditch my GHDs just yet
*Mineral make-up - started off with Bare Escentuals but swapped to Lily Lolo. I will never, ever go back to liquid foundation!
*Alpha-H Liquid Gold - a miracle in a bottle :)
*Glycolic Peels - fab
*MN Scarf - I have 2 now
*Benefit Porefessional - really, really good. The only way to ensure my make-up looks good all day. Unfortunately it breaks me out (only sometimes, not every single time Hmm) so I only use it for long days out/special occasions
*£100s spent online whenever a discount is posted for clothes shopping

I've only been on here for just under a year but my skin has undergone a complete overhaul in that time due to switching foundation and skincare regime. I cannot stress enough how much better this has made me feel in myself and I thank you all Thanks. Honestly.

My bank account has never looked so unhealthy, however Hmm

steben · 23/08/2012 12:49

Glad to see I am not the only one easly led Wink

MrsMartin is also directly responsible for a fair few of my purchases so Thanks to her. I am now lusting after babyliss bighair and prolagene gel.... The bank account could be about to take another hit...

Shred dvd

Coconut oil

Argan Oil

and doing the OCM

All have pretty much changed my life for the better :o

WoodlandHills · 23/08/2012 13:40

What is the "mumsnet scarf" ?

exterminateexterminate · 23/08/2012 14:03

Soap & Glory foot file
Coconut, almond, castor oils to try OCM
Rapid lash serum (which I donated to another MNer as was allergic to it)
Scarf with little zebras on
Sally Hanson leg make up
St Moritz self tan
Benefit porefection
Opi nail treatment
Body Shop eyebrow powder
pleased with everything except my bank balance.

wellwisher · 23/08/2012 14:16

Shred - v good if I ever bothered to do it
Microfibre hair turban - think this does help my hair to dry a bit faster and it was only from Poundland anyway!
Soap and Glory foot file - AMAZING

ClimbingPenguin · 23/08/2012 14:24

Babyliss big hair, but I still haven't really worked out to use it properly.

MrsCampbellBlack · 23/08/2012 14:31

Whatever happened to MrsMartin - she posted prolifically for about 4 weeks and then vanished?

I bought the BBH but didn't like it and ditto to the mn scarf.

But have bought numerous things linked on the a&w threads

St Morritz at £2.99 - better than any other including St Tropez and Vita Liberata.
Rapidlash from eBay - it works.
Superdrug own brand cracked heel cream - works on my heinous feet.

Chanel Tan De Soleil Universal Bronzer...... I splurged on this, wanting a non sparkly cream bronzer. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH IT. It now lives in my knicker drawer and has been used 3 times. Mistake!

NotMostPeople · 23/08/2012 16:45

Over the years lots and lots, but in recent memory

Just this week:
Marigold oil for my verrucas
Uniqlo skinny cords
A Zara top linked to on the Vogue thread

Recently:
Acids x 2 on the sizzle thread
All sorts of non carb foods thanks to BIWI's bootcamp (down 2 dress sizes thank you very much)
Clarisonic
Touche eclat foundation
Double wear foundation
Soap and Glory foot file
Loreal hair oil
Cracked heal cream
Babyliss big hair - didn't work for me if anyone wants to buy it
Hair turban
Coconut oil
Dog walking harness x 2
Benefit porefessional
Glossybox subscription
Retinol wrinkle cream
Pistol-a-likes from New Look
LIquid Gold
Longchamp le pilage

Honestly the list goes on and on

KateSpade · 23/08/2012 16:49

I love threads like these. Please someone start a 'holy grain products' thread.

That is my dream thread. Grin

Sunnysider · 23/08/2012 17:09

sorry to hijack..

what does the Babyliss big hair do? Is it quicker for drying your hair?

p.s. Smile at Holy Grain
