I was thinking on my commute into work this morn how since I have been using this thread I have directly bought a number of beauty products based on recommendations from other mumsnetters Grin. I have listed below and also whether I rate them in the hope others might do the same?

Moroccon oil ? wonder product hair lost frizziness and is sleeeker, exoensive but lasts ages
Rapid Lash serum ? again great product really noticed a difference
Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation ? amazing will never go back and I had tried all the big brands. YSL, Chanel etc?
Tuban Towel - hmmm not sure on this one, normal towel was just fine
Clarins Mascara Fix Brilliant product ? keeps lashes in place with no smudging all day
Bare Mineral Mineral Veil Powder - Great stuff ? reduces shine and has a high SPF factor
Clinique City Block SPF 40 - Ok, not sure I will buy again, still searching for a high SPF day wonder product
Decleor Neroli Face Oil - Love it! New essential part of skin care routine

I am sure I will think of others?.

Leighton Denny crystal nail file - good

Forgotten the name of it, but a treatment coat for harder nails - okay, but my nails still split

Hair turban - convenient, but doesn't seem to speed up drying time, but good for wearing when using ....

Coconut oil on hair

Ocm - like the way my skin feels, but hasn't cleared up spots

Rosehip oil - see above

Barbara Daly primer - very good

S&B is very addictive reading

WhyTheBigPaws · 24/08/2012 07:37

Off the top of my head Barbara Daly primer and a Mumsnet scarf but sure there's more. Also on my wishlist are a Merrel Wakefield, a Hush sweater dress, some Acne Pistols and a Peony & Moore bag, none of which I would have heard of without S&B...

that eyelash serum thing - didn't work for me
ditto blink mascara - made eyelashes fall out!
morroccan oil - wonderful
parlux hairdryer - also wonderful
some primer - can't remember name, but wasn't for me
retinA cream - the dog's bollocks!
and, of course, all the lovely discount codes

steben · 24/08/2012 07:54

More have come to mind - the Laura mercier tinted moisturiser the only one I have ever found that works with my pasty skin and a good alternative to foundation when I am having a minimum make up day. I can see more products coming as a result of this thread Grin

God the best thing for me has undoubtedly been botox which Noddy inspired me to get. So thanks Noddy

HazleNutt · 24/08/2012 09:34

hm what I can remember:

BBH - love, but after it broke, got a similar Rowenta one, which is even better
Liz Earle - meh, did nothing for me
Bare Minerals - horrible. After complaining about it, someone here recommended Lily Lolo, which I like much better.
Seche Vite - love
LK Bennett Davina - adore, have 2 of them
Mulberry Bayswater- love
Urban Decay Primer Potion - fab
Skin79 korean BB cream - love
Shred - meh, but ok for lazy days

So, I should buy Liquid Gold next, you say?

Eliza22 · 24/08/2012 10:17

Faustian.... RetinA? Which one, please? Where from? I thought it was a prescription only item?

Eliza22 · 24/08/2012 10:18

Faustina..... IPad!

BobbiFleckman · 24/08/2012 10:21

forgive me mrscambpellblack for i have shamelessly nicked your studded armed winter coat. And me a lurker on your S&B threads too.

Pinot · 24/08/2012 10:41

Loads, but also I follow DMBL40 and Lisa Eldridge religiously. And Sali Hughes, but not as good as

Bonacure Miracle Oil is better than MoroccanOil (just discovered it in a pharmacy in France)

MrsCampbellBlack · 24/08/2012 11:24

Oh that coat is gorgeous isn't it Bobbi - I keep looking in my wardrobe at it and stroking the arms.

BobbiFleckman · 24/08/2012 11:31

it's still en route from online store! I took a lengthy diversion back from meeting to office earlier in the week only to find that zara was shut so have ordered sight unseen and recklessly gone for xs - hope it doesn't come up very small?

valiumredhead · 24/08/2012 11:38

B Big Hair - crap
Rosehip oil - fantastic!
OCM - crap
L'Oreal anti dandruff shampoo - fantastic!
Parlux hair drier - fantastic!

faustina · 24/08/2012 11:38

ELiza22 - I'll find the link for it in a bit - it was Ggirl who found it first!

Wisteria36 · 24/08/2012 11:39

Have been lurking on and off since last winter and bought white company tunics, Brora cashmere and fly wedge shoes! And built up more of a capsule and smarter wardrobe than my pre children days. Time to stop lurking and become a poster I think.Smile

MrsCampbellBlack · 24/08/2012 11:40

I've gone for xs and it fits perfectly - not as teeny as some of the Zara stuff.

Now my only challenge is what handbag to use withit as most of mine have gold hardware - so do I need a new bag I wonder Wink

Trills · 24/08/2012 11:41

Argan oil.

Then Moroccanoil (branded) hair stuff.

Neither does anything for me.

cybbo · 24/08/2012 14:53

Yes forgot Botox

Wouldn't have done it without rave reviews from my S and B buddies

MadStaringEyes · 24/08/2012 16:44

I bought 2 mumsnet scarfs before I found S&B.

I have the new buterfly scarf in green.
Ordered some argan oil.

WoodlandHills · 24/08/2012 17:37

What is the mumsnet scarf ...Please someone tell me!!!

cybbo · 24/08/2012 19:13

It's a nasty crinkly crumpled piece of fraying cotton with badly printed leopard print on it

Well mine was at least

MrsCampbellBlack · 24/08/2012 19:14

It was viscose - I loathe viscose

chocolateshoes · 24/08/2012 19:20

Love reading S&B and what a brilliant thread this is. Like so many others I have succumbed to:

Coconut oil -
Moroccan oil - love it!
Mumsnet scarf x 2
Zebra print scarf
