I was thinking on my commute into work this morn how since I have been using this thread I have directly bought a number of beauty products based on recommendations from other mumsnetters Grin. I have listed below and also whether I rate them in the hope others might do the same?

Moroccon oil ? wonder product hair lost frizziness and is sleeeker, exoensive but lasts ages
Rapid Lash serum ? again great product really noticed a difference
Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation ? amazing will never go back and I had tried all the big brands. YSL, Chanel etc?
Tuban Towel - hmmm not sure on this one, normal towel was just fine
Clarins Mascara Fix Brilliant product ? keeps lashes in place with no smudging all day
Bare Mineral Mineral Veil Powder - Great stuff ? reduces shine and has a high SPF factor
Clinique City Block SPF 40 - Ok, not sure I will buy again, still searching for a high SPF day wonder product
Decleor Neroli Face Oil - Love it! New essential part of skin care routine

I am sure I will think of others?.

Remus - I use a brow brush/pencil from Blink - mine is Indian Chocolate but all the colours seemed pretty good.

Springforward · 25/08/2012 19:55

A bird-print scarf, which I am stupidly pleased with Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/08/2012 21:07

Thanks Mrs CB. Never heard of Blink either - where are they stocked?

MrsCampbellBlack · 25/08/2012 21:11

Blink brow bars are in Harvey Nichols and Selfridges - they're not orangey which I like. Nars also do good ones.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/08/2012 21:31

Thank you. We deffo have a Nars concession but haven't seen Blink before.

JudithOfThePiece · 25/08/2012 22:33

MN scarf (good)
Hair turban (rubbish)
Aussie shampoo (meh)
M&S jeggings (not sure yet)

Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner (excellent)
Sally Hansen diamond topcoat (excellent)

I've also been umming and aahing over the BBH for months. I think I'll give it a a shot.

JudithOfThePiece · 25/08/2012 22:36

Oh, also

Barbara Daly primer (good primer but irritated my skin so not for me!)
M&S pants (ok)

FauxFox · 26/08/2012 08:07

I wear it with primark skinny jeans that have flat back pockets at a bum covering length. I usually wear knee boots over (flat brown biker for casual or tan high heeled buckley ones). It's one of my best daytime outfits (I even got beeped wearing it the other day and at 34 with kids in tow that doesn't happen often anymore!)

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 26/08/2012 08:35

BBH - great but I only use it occasionally as I like the way my hair dries when I wash and leave it.

Towelling turban - been using for years, great for me as I don't blow dry, leave it on while I do make-up etc keeps hair off my face and stops the back of my clothes getting wet.

Rosehip oil - ok
OCM - ok
Curly girl hair maintenance (partial, avoid silicones) - great, my hair loves it
Shred dvd- set off my sciatica
Lash serum - keep forgetting to use it
Ultrasun - just brilliant after years of prickly heat, eczema flare-ups using high st brands
Seche Vite or Sally Hansen fast drying top coats, both brilliant
Crystal nail file - love it
s&g foot file - brilliant
Gosh eyebrow pen - too orange but used on top of eyebrow pencil as a sealant it's great
Liz Earle cleanse and polish - free sample, won't be buying
Lily Lolo a long time ago, I liked it at first then felt it might be a bit old lady powderish
Garnier BB cream, too thick and heavy

Sure there are probably more

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/08/2012 11:39

Sorry Faux - I meant do you just wear it alone, or do you stick a shirt or cardi over it?

Ambi · 26/08/2012 12:12

Loreal Hair Oil & GHDs - I have magazine style hair for the first time in my 31years.
Shred DVD - as yet unused but will be used once baby is born.

SpringGoddess · 26/08/2012 13:24

Getting colours done
Aragon oil
The shred
Coconut oil
MN Scarf
Zara t shirts
M&S Jeggings
Clarks Melanie boots
Barbara Daily primer
C25k app
Foot file
Towel turban

And countless other things I've forgotten about - MN costs me a fortune, Most of which I love!

FauxFox · 26/08/2012 14:41

on it's own usually, a biker jacket or slouchy blazer if cold, sometimes a big floral or star print scarf...

I properly discovered the joys of TKMaxx as a result of S & B. This has cost me a fortune, but never mind!
Mint Velvet leggings (the ones with the gathered ankles and wide waist band)
Clarks boots (with lovely big discount).
A springy thing which removes facial hair - this takes some time to get right, but is so much better than the nasty rash I used to get with cream.
Ankle boots - S & B convinced me that these were an essential.
Rimmel red lipstick (the Kate Moss, no 1). Don't like it though - think I have been spoilt by Chanel!

Those are just the things off the top of my head - there are probably loads more which I have forgotten about.

MooseLooseAbootThisHoose · 26/08/2012 19:17

Babyliss Big Hair - I really don't like it. I have persevered and tried many different techniques. It just seems to not suit my hair (wavy, shoulder length) I always end up looking like a news reader. It is also so so bad for hair, kills it dead.

Mumsnet scarf - to begin with I loved it but now I am not so sure, haven't worn it at all this year.

I already had a hair turban and I love it.
