Good morning all, welcome to week 3! A reminder of the rules:

Be as happy as possible. The odd night of booze and chocolate is fine
It's not a diet, it's trying to eat healthily and well, eat fruit and veg
Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
Some exercise, walking is fine
Use sunscreen at ALL TIMES
Take your make up off before bed
Get enough sleep, aim to be in bed by 10, 10.30 every night
Use handcream and join the horned hoof club on their thread if you have vile feet

Suzywong is Harvey from Fit Club and will pop in every now and again to say Good Luck to You but in her absence: Good Luck To You.

God, after such a performance of a couple of years job wise I'm so relieved to have a perm job with good benefits :) God, it was nerve wracking for a minute there seeing who would blink first but I'm glad I stood my ground, phew!

soyabean · 14/03/2006 18:40

Hello all
I am not worthy but thought I would register myself here again in the hope that I am a bit more inspired this week..better start NOW. The day was Ok until a bag of white maltesers to pick me up at work. My weight fluctuates by about 5 lbs on a regular basis with no apparent regard to what I have eaten, anyone else have this? Or maybe its wonky scales...
Must get back into swimming, maybe can fit it in on Friday.
Congrats re job, WWW

ScummyMummy · 14/03/2006 18:43

Hurrah! That really is absolutely fantastically brilliant www. Well done well done well done. Add me to the email list!:)

Callmemadam · 14/03/2006 18:54

(sidles onto thread looking hot and flustered) Oh so HERE you are! I've been lurking around last week's thread wondering why it was so quiet! Didn't notice the chairs had all been put on the tables, too much wine at the weekend Grin congrats on the job WWW, how are you going to celebrate? I need to know all gory details as I am trying to ignore Moondogs dietary regime as it depresses me too muchWink. Feet now look beautiful, but face looks as though someone's ironed it, quite frankly. At 45 should I just give up (sob). I weigh 10s 3lb but until Christmas I had never in my life weighed more than 10s. Now can't move weight even if I give up booze and although it might not seem like much it is depressing the hell out of me. Also feel cold, tired and bad tempered all the time so not much fun, really. Anyone know any jokes?

WideWebWitch · 14/03/2006 19:00

callmemadam, I DREAM of 10st 3! my fave joke, courtesy of Lizzer from mumsnet a looong time ago:

A woman walks into a bar and asks the barman for a Double Entendre. So he gives her one.

Boom, boom! We will be celebrating with Champagne the minute the children are in bed! Thanks for the congrats everyone, Iota, yes, wanna meet one of these days? :)

I'm not exactly sylphlike myself Grin

moondog · 14/03/2006 19:52

Congratulations WWW!
You have a 12 hour pass.

EB,that will be brilliant.
Yes,have spent about 7 long summers in Asheville NC working at a children's camp. Started as a student but like it so much and am friends with the owners,so have carried on (when I can get the time off.)
I've taken my nieces and nephews too,and will take my own children in a couple of years.
Done lots of travelling around there as well.
I am mad for anything Southern. Grin
They should call me Miz Moondog.

Whereabouts exactly will you be? Do you have family there?

Good day

Muesli peaches yoghurt
Brown rice,tuna and salad
Ham and wholemeal bread
Orange
Banana
Went for a swim with the kids.

yoyo · 14/03/2006 20:46

Moondog - you seem to be eating less and less! Are you actually trying to lose weight (don't think I've ever read anything where you have said you are in need of losing any)? I have a very wholesome image of you - tall, athletic, shiny hair, glowing skin, inner calm (effect of Chapel) - anywhere near the mark?!

Going to watch Gordon now - I suppose he'll suggest simplifying the menu and using local produce, not forgetting making the frontage more appealing. How do these dullards not realise that they are crap at running restrunts (as he says)?

winnie · 14/03/2006 20:47

congratulations www... hope you are enjoying the champagne :)

I am not doing well, the pampering is going well, it seems to be part of the routine now. As is drinking 2 ltres of water a day... and am managing to keep coffee intake to a minimum. However, need to get back on track with more fruit and veg and exercise... am on second glass of red wine tonight Blush Sadly after the weekend I've noticed that my skin s suffering (which has to be down to not enough fruit and veg and alcohol in the system.... [or maybe my period is due?]) Feeling very cross with self. feeling very old. I am only 36 but feel ancient ... how does one shake oneself up without looking like one is having a mid life crisis? Grin Grin

motherinferior · 14/03/2006 20:50

I have just - ahem - eaten a chocolate brownie and am consuming more than one glass of wine. Also ate pasta with a sauce of tomatoes, sliced chorizo and some peas.

Blush

I should plead in my own defence that I have had a long and exhausting day which kicked off with an incontinent two year old and went on to an incontinent cat, and my pre-dinner consumption was frightfully virtuous (multigrain porridge with fruit and low fat yogurt, lots more fruit, some organic nuts, bowl of home made lentil and kale soup (spiced, no oil), toast with small amount of brie...).

Cat pee is a dreadful way to start the day.
