Does it work on haggard skin? That site suggests is more for acne. I have spots but also dry, planning on getting round to joining the acidheads soon.

I bought the acid stuff, but haven't bothered using it because this is so amazing - seriously!

and I don't have acne - am using it for anti-ageing. I think it was originally developed for acne, and then they noticed it had huge anti-ageing properties too

you have to follow the instructions properly, but it's so worth it!

I don't find it drying, even though I have dry skin. I think ggirl said it dried her skin

I think it's meant to be prescription only

Ooh.....tempted!

But most of my wrinkles are round my eyes. Is it too strong for near the eyes?
It seems to be quite potent stuff.

I find it works better , as in i don't peel , of I wash my face at least 30 in before putting cream on

Beaonsea...you can use around eyes.

I googled madly to check cos that's where i need it most. couldn't find anywhere that said not to and most said you could. Sorry can't find links as it was a while ago/

Ooh, ooh, ooh, the place where I'm getting my skin peels done sold me a tube. I'm using it every second day and having read what ggirl just wrote, I shall stop washing my face straight before using it.
I paid around eighty dollars, was I ripped? Could not see a price on that site.

ggirl I started off doing one side of my face - very gingerly! and it was a tiny bit stingy. Not red at all, or peeling the following morning. Then I waited a day, then the following evening used it properly - all over, avoiding creases (had seen this advice somewhere else online). I use a tiny pea sized amount, and don't go right up to the eyes. I've been using it every night this week since then. No discomfort. No red bits. No peeling. No dryness either. I wear a tinted total sunblock during the day - which I aways did anyway.

I have rosacea and sun damage and I am 52. I can't say it's done anything for wrinkles - not sure how noticeable that would be, but my complexion is so much clearer and brighter and more even. I am pretty sure two brown sun damage patches are significantly faded. I am really surprised at the rapidity with which I can actually see a difference!

From what I read, it can work for some people with rosacea but not for others - in fact it can make it worse. This is why I was so careful at first - and I read LOADS about it before using it. It's been around for decades so there is plenty of information.

If anyone wants the peel thing, I'll happily send it on if you pm me and pay for postage. It's unopened - still in the envelope it came in.

Also the weird dodgy looking fatbuster pills that came with the retin a. Not going to try those - but anyone who would like to, just pm me

Retin a is a prescription only product in this country. It contains high strength vitamin A which must not be used during pregnancy. A high strength sun protection should be used with this product SPF 30 at least every day.
You must question where these people are getting this product from (probably not the UK)

A few questions before I waste invest yet more money:

-can I use it alongside a glycolic peel programme?
-any other site recommendations (that really is the dodgiest site I've ever seen)
-other than skin sensitivity, what's the downside of using Retin a?

I use retin a ...called tretinoin bought from Amazon
But it's £40. Next time I'll be using ggirl's site
I use it with an Aha
