WOW. and thank you! It's amazing - made a really really huge difference and I've only used it five or six times. So grateful to you!

Tretinoin Cream contains Tretinoin in either of three strengths, 0.1%, 0.05%, or 0.025% by weigh

That it, my earlier post was a bit wrong!

Has anyone else noticed they get a much redder and hot face while having a little boozy drink? or is it just me

ggirl · 05/05/2012 18:54

just you amberleaf

AmberLeaf · 05/05/2012 19:05

Ok im blaming it on the gin, I havent had gin for about 18 years so it must be that!

AmberLeaf · 06/05/2012 20:59

Face feeling much drier today.

QuinnFabray · 06/05/2012 21:04

I'm just about to put my second lot on, three nights after the first lot. The slight flakyness and soreness of yesterday is better today. Am going to apply it with some moisturiser again. Slowly slowly . . . at this point I'm just trying to get my skin used to it.

QuinnFabray · 06/05/2012 21:04

How often have you used it so far, Amber?

AmberLeaf · 06/05/2012 21:07

Yeah I used it last night with the addition of some coconut oil about 1 hour beforehand!

Again I blame the gin! I wasnt planning to use again until tonight.

Will deffo wait 3 days till the next lot.

NotMostPeople · 06/05/2012 21:20

So is AmberLeaf's stuff at 0.05 for £8.99 the same strength as ggirls dodgy site one at £30???

I'm confused. I want the best one at the best price please.

AmberLeaf · 06/05/2012 21:23

I think so NotMostPeople.

Mine is the gel version though and I think ggirls site is the cream one. think thats the only difference [as well as the price]

AmberLeaf · 06/05/2012 21:24

and mine is 20gms tube, think ggirls is 30gms? but even so mine is still cheaper per gm

ggirl · 06/05/2012 22:22

Yeh I will be buying amberleaf's next time

ggirl · 06/05/2012 22:23

...unless her face falls off in the meantime

AmberLeaf · 07/05/2012 12:09

Grin Face still attached this morning!

Felt dry last night and was a little flaky along my jawline this morning.Ive used lots of coconut oil on it, should I exfoiliate away the flakiness?

faustina · 07/05/2012 14:40

I think I remember somewhere it said the gel was a little more drying than the cream

QuinnFabray · 07/05/2012 19:24

It seems to be doing my skin some good though. It's smoother and less oily.

savy57 · 07/05/2012 21:42

AmberLeaf can i ask what ur using ur gel for are you using it for acne? if so what are the results
thank you

AmberLeaf · 07/05/2012 21:49

Hi savy57

Im using it for a combination of things really, I have some pigmentation from previous acne, my skin has been clear lately [moreso since using organic coconut oil] but id like to get rid of the brown marks.

Also im using it to hopefully improve some fine lines on my forehead.

only used it twice as yet so watch this space for results!

savy57 · 07/05/2012 21:54

thanks AmberLeaf ive got a big jar of organic coconut oil how r u washing your face with it sorry for all the questions but my acne is depressing the life out of me but cant really afford the price of some of the tubes of cream on hear :(

AmberLeaf · 07/05/2012 22:03

No problem savy Smile

I started off cleansing with coconut oil by basically removing my make up with it first rubbing it all over then tissuing off or with cotton wool pads, then id put hot/warm wet flannels on my face twice, then moisturise with it. that was at night and in the morning I wash my face with a mild facial wash then again moisurise with the oil. but actually some mornings id skip the facial wash and just use the oil again, it left my face really soft and smooth.

It has really made my skin brighter I was surprised that an oil could do that as ive always had oily spotty skin and didnt think oil would help it.

My 15 yr old has been using it and its calmed his acne a lot, its not so inflamed looking and seems to clear quicker and not leave so many scar marks.

I wish id found it years ago cos I really did suffer with acne for a long time, I think it was h0rmonal.

savy57 · 07/05/2012 22:14

yeah i think mines is more hormonal too, im away to get the coconut oil out the cupboard Thank you again i will try anything that may help :)

AmberLeaf · 07/05/2012 22:23

Good luck, let me know how you get on with it Smile

savy57 · 07/05/2012 22:30

will do :)

yesbutnobut · 07/05/2012 22:37

The original ggirl one is 0.5% compared to the cheaper 0.05% I think. I'm no mathematician but I think the first one is a lot stronger Smile

AmberLeaf · 07/05/2012 23:18

No it isnt, the strongest strength available is 0.1%
