WOW. and thank you! It's amazing - made a really really huge difference and I've only used it five or six times. So grateful to you!

Just coming over from the sizzlers' thread to genuflect before the true pore 'n' wrinkle warriors.

i'm satisfied with results of the acid for now but I'm deffo bearing this in mind for the future so have been lurking to see how you're all getting on - I'm pleased some of you are seeing results already and that you're all still in full possession of your faces Grin

Happy thinning/turnovering/cell-loosening (wtf does it actually do ?!)

QuinnFabray · 14/05/2012 22:34

Just remember, this side effect is normal and should pass with continued use. Just slow down a bit.

Out of interest, what type of skin do you have? What are you hoping to achieve? I just want to be rid of these damn blackheads, have less oily skin and less obvious pores. If it has any effect on my fine lines ( I'm 37 ), that's a bonus.

AmberLeaf · 14/05/2012 23:32

Ive always had quite oily skin, prone to spots from about 16 yrs old up to my late 20s and occasionally in my 30s but much clearer the last few years [im 37 too]

I think im after the same the same things as you really!

NotMostPeople · 15/05/2012 08:59

My skin sounds the same as yours too Quinn & Amber (except I'm a bit older) i used the retin A for the first time on Sunday night with no side effects and am very tempted to use it again tonight.

I have a load of small but immovable blackheads on my chin, I don't think anyone else can see them other than me in my ghastly magnifying mirror but I want them gone.

NotMostPeople · 17/05/2012 18:34

Last night was my second application, three days later and today I am very flaky. There's no way I could wear foundation or it would look terrible. I'm going to stick with it though.

faustina · 17/05/2012 21:33

still carrying on with it every evening. No flakiness but skin a bit red now - which might or might not be the retin a - life a bit stressful at the moment.

anyway - the thing I want to ask is - could I use some gentle fake tan - you know, that moisturiser with a gradual tan. I have the st tropez one.

I slap tinted sun block on my face religiously each morning, but it would be nice to add a little more colour

Has anyone done this? Can you think of any reason i shouldn't?

Bumping this up (agaaaiiin) by saying I got some 0.1% prescribed by GP this morn, and it IS ok to use while breastfeeding. Oral retinoids a different story though.

I had a full face of slap on and pretty well covered spotty chin & forehead. Took some face wipes along in case she wanted me to 'prove' my awful skin, but she took me at my word or maybe my makeup job wasn't as good as I thought

Bought some coconut oil and Clinique City Block in preparation having followed this thread. Fingers crossed I'm not all purgey and flakey for 2 family weddings this summer!

Hi guys, resurrecting the thread as managed to convince GP to give me a presciption for my acne. I am 30 and excited that my face will stay this age!!!!

Question1 - can i use it on my neck and decolletage area (which has a few spots but mostly sun damage)

Question 2 - iIam using La Roche posay factor 50, in the mornings should I be moistuirsing too? i have been putting on sunscreen then botanics mattfying primer then foundation.
