Having a manic day here - INSET day at school and I have 7 kids (inc my 3) over for lunch. While also trying to "work from home" and talk to removal people.

DP is phoning the Boiler Bloke recommended by another MNer

Also it is clearly in some unspecified way slightly my fault about the boiler

Working with teenagers child-free 32 year olds can be wearing, I am finding. Especially when they assert things like 'of course stretch mark creams work if you use them early enough' 'of course kids get enough exercise these days' and 'of course reception age children use pencil cases'. WTF?

MI, why are they even discussing children????

One is the Parenting ed and one is the Beauty ed. Which is why we were discussing ideas for the parenting section. (I have written extensively for quite a lot of pregnancy, baby and parenting publications. And given birth. Twice. And have stretch marks.)

Parenting ed Surely that should be you! Or someone else who has had at least one child!

I just realised that I haven't given my stretch marks a single thought in a long time - obviously I have even worse body issues to worry about at my age now

I don't think you necessarily need to have children to edit a parenting section but it does help. I'm just being tetchy. The rain woke me up at 5.40. And I'm bored with boiling kettles for hot water!

In other news, do we have a meetup planned? And shall we invite the lovely Orangina, whom I saw for lunch the other day?
