Sorry for poor thread title but I am hopeless at rhyming at the best of times...
Unbelievable how quickly we filled the last thread!

Had one hour on Friday before the meeting started and used my time very efficiently and bought these. They are not quite as high as the 50/50s but suit me better. Was hugging the shopping bag close to me on the train back home yesterday Grin.

ollie Such a shame that your DH isn't going to go with the job offer over here. Oh, the fun we could have!

hopefully Having you on this thread is great and I enjoy reading your posts a lot. I hope your mother doesn't find any more tidying tasks for you today. You look fab in your wedding pictures.

annie Hope you got all your work done last night and have the chance to get some rest today.

red We have our hob on our kitchen island too. We couldn't decide on backsplash for ages. Haven't had one for ages and it is absolutely fine. I do most food preparation stuff on the island anyway.

Have lovely Sundays everyone!

ApuskiMcClusky · 22/01/2012 11:21

Hello Fritzi! (jumps back in). Fab boots - hugging the bag on your way home is definitely a sign of passing the Roxy test!

ApuskiMcClusky · 22/01/2012 11:32

Just testing my Newly discovered iPhone pasting skills - I just ordered this skirt, with an extra 20% off.

notyummy · 22/01/2012 11:32

Thanks Fritzi!

ApuskiMcClusky · 22/01/2012 11:33

Woohoo it worked!

Hopefully · 22/01/2012 11:40

Thanks Fritzi for starting new thread and lovely compliment Smile

Lovely skirt Apuski, like the belt detail.

My mother has taken the boys to MIL's for the day, so I am meant to be working hard. I am slightly messing around on the computer instead. Hey, it's a change from tea towel duty!

MIM I have the agnes-alikes you linked on old thread in the other colour. I actually really like them, lovely and soft and good quality. Definitely not a lightweight SS fabric (kind of moleskin texture), but I'm getting tons of wear out of mine atm.

Right, must go do some work before returning!

Fleecy · 22/01/2012 11:46

Same here fritzi - we decided to live without a splashback for a while so we wouldn't make a mistake choosing the wrong thing. And three years on, we still don't have one and don't intend to get one. We have no tiles either but our worktop extends into an upstand all the way round instead.

We also have an induction hob and I love it!

hopefully Cocosa do sales that last for a couple of days. They have Ash ones every so often as well as VWA. Worth signing up and pouncing when there's something you really want. The best stuff often sells out super fast.

Asos Aggie fans, the tan leather ones are going into the sale tomorrow. I got a preview thing today. They'll be reduced to £22.50 which is good for leather boots.

I have bought these cobalt jeans for £20 and this pretty scarf and must stop shopping now. Have already spent my Feb money... But I did spot lilac jeans for those fans of MrsCB's lavender ones. I don't think they're as nice with the slightly washed finish but they're cheaper! Also in rose a la Wendy. I love them but they really would make my legs look like sausages! The more slender among you might like to give them a whirl though.

carciofi · 22/01/2012 12:05

Fleecy, you look very slender in your photos, I doubt those pink jeans would work on many people! I like the cobalt jeans and scarf.

Great boots, Fritzi! That skirt will be good for work, Apuski.

Cocosa is definitely worth signing up to, Hopefully.

Ants, glad you are feeling better.

IceCreamCastles · 22/01/2012 12:21

Thanks fritzi Smile

Portia4 · 22/01/2012 12:29

Thanks Fritzi! You'll get lots of wear out of your boots

'Love your skirt Apuski it will be great for work.

I like the cobalt jeans and scarf Fleecy

Hello to everyone else, I have been quite busy at work and so am following the thread but don't have too much time to post, I am working again today, and I find when I work 6/7 days a week that I really do get tired.

Hopefully enjoy your time to yourself today, even if you are working, I sometimes find that working alone can be quite a luxury!

Fleecy · 22/01/2012 12:39

Yes, forgot to say congrats on the boots fritzi - I smiled at the image of you hugging the bag!

And I like the skirt apuski - a classic you'll get years of wear from.

Thanks carciofi - I have large calves but my legs are long so I think I get away with more than I should! Or maybe I'm deluded. But happily, so no matter Grin

Not surprised you get tired portia and hope you get some time to relax.

ny I saw your DD's photo on FB - that's quite a bruise. Poor girl!

pickledsiblings · 22/01/2012 15:37

Fritzi, thanks for the new thread - nice boots, that was a productive hour Smile.

Fleecy, I may have to order that scarf - thanks!

Apuski, can just see that skirt on you, hope it's a good fit when it arrives as it is a classic that you will have for years. Strikes me as something Annie might like.

Am tutoring in maths today, no rest for the wicked, so like you Portia it's 6/7 days but I'm sure mine aren't as full on as yours. Are you swayed by any of the coloured jeans talk? I would love some but haven't the legs for the ones I love.

Midland MU ladies, have a great lunch tomorrow. I fully expect Icey to come away wanting a Roxy when she sees you modelling it Zembo Smile.

Looby, I can't remember if you are going or not? Lovely for you if at least one of your DC is into music...who knows, maybe number 4 will be even more into it than number 3.

Big wave to the rest of you and best of luck with the decorating decisions Red. We have a painted tongue and groove splashback that somehow works with the white corian worktop and 'integrates' it with the rest of the house (old with some modern touches).

Emo76 · 22/01/2012 17:20

fritzi ICH LIEBE those boots (hope that translates correctly..!)

hello portia, hope business is good.

fleecy love those cobalt jeans, i have similar from CdeC last spring, great colour, always cheers me up wearing it (sound like my mum!)

ants glad you are better

DH and I went to see a band last night at a super cool pub/bar in Hoxton, I think we raised the average age there a tad. Was good fun though I really missed having a drink (dry January) - of course, the lack of hangover today is a bonus. Must go back there in Feb.... I wore navy skinnies, navy bloss tee from reiss and black knee high miu miu boots which are three years old. Didn't stand out from the crowd but that was the aim!! Happy Sundays all.

IceCreamCastles · 22/01/2012 18:08

Pickled -I am fully expecting to come away wanting a roxy too Grin.

I will be pretty casual tomorrow. Can't decide which shoes/boots to wear though - high or low? Planning on getting the train in so I can have a snooze.

Gorgeous boots fritzi

Tried BBH this morning with limited success - think I need lessons.

Great jeans fleecy. I like that scarf too - looks nice & big.

Which colour do you like pickled? I can see you in some of the bright ones.

blossoming · 22/01/2012 19:34

Wow emo, Im really impressed you're still 'dry'! Well done on fitting in in Hoxton too!
Love the boots fritzi, they are 50/50s aren't they? Just shorter. I think you've created another test with the bag hugging! Thanks for the new thread.
Glad work is busy for you portia, but sorry you're so tired.

Love the skirt apuski. I think you know your style very well.
I completely agree with fritzi hopefully about you being a welcome addition to the thread. Great posts!
Great purchases there fleecy.
carciofi I agree DH has great taste. In women anyway! We have differing tastes in music. I am more grunge to his metal (and various other weird genres!) I often felt left out years ago when we used to go to gigs with out mutual friends, before we were together, as I would often end up wanting to go home!
Feeling nostalgic ollie reading about your radio days. I used to practise violin for hours a day just to get in to the big youth orchestras as I fancied someone like crazy. For years!
Are you enjoying being back in work pickled? Or do you miss being at home? You'll be getting paid soon! Any purchases on the horizon?
I have forgotten when you're all due. mim, icey, blue, looby?
Hope you have a lovely lunch tomorrow. Is your dd okay notyummy?
I decided to be more efficient with my time, so this morning in the 2 hours before dh and dd got up, I did some heavy marking, that I was putting off. It has really helped me today, not having the shadow of that over my day. It means I have less to do tonight too.
Yesterday's bike ride was lovely, just short. One side of the lake is a busy main road, and only the first half is cycle track. There is no way I could take ds on the second half, which has large lorries and livestock transporters thundering past at great speed. So dh drove us to the village at the far end, and we cycled back along the back road. So six miles, and it seemed mostly down hill. Gorgeous, but we were home in an hour! Read in the local paper later that planning has been given to extend the cycle path, so hopefully, in a few years, we'll be able to go all the way round safely. I am officially obsessed with my new hobby, as you can tell! Oh, and the sweaty betty stuff was great!

OllieinOrange · 22/01/2012 19:35

Marking place, thanks for starting a new thread fritzi, so glad you got some SW boots. Love the image of you hugging them on the way home.

Icey my BBH is still in its box. Must have a try.

Have a wonderful at the Midlands meet up tomorrow. Looking forward to hearing all about it from baby bumps to roxys!

Spent the day at DH friend's house who is a great cook so lots of lovely nibbles and lunch. They have 2 DC who are lovely and v well behaved, my two seemed very hyper boisterus in comparison.

Enjoying the kitchen talk. About to make a decision on new paint colour for the kitchen. May post a pic tomorrow to help decide. Have various F&B samples painted on the wall. I'd love a grey but doesn't really go with the rest of the downstairs so looking at the blues. DH likes Lulworth Blue.

Emo76 · 22/01/2012 19:43

olly I did student radio, the highlight of my "career" was interviewing Space (the 90s band, female of the species was a hit, anyone??!) loved it, even did a breakfast show one year which started at the ungodly hour of 7am. Those were the days!

anyone finding any end of sales mega bargains?

ApuskiMcClusky · 22/01/2012 19:54

Ollie, my old kitchen units were painted in Lulworth Blue, and I loved them.

Bloss, thank you for saying I know my personal style, I felt very chuffed that you think that! Bike ride sounds lovely.

Portia and Pickled, hope you're able to take a break from working.

Hope the MU goes well tomorrow!

blue2711 · 22/01/2012 20:05

Evening everyone. DS in bed and my pyjamas are on. We've been playing music and dancing around the living room for the last hr: happy times. I do hope life as a four will be as wonderful.

Thanks for new thread fritzi. Love the boots and still intend to invest myself, probably next autumn.
Thanks for aggies tip fleecy. I nearly bought them last week so am v chuffed and have just bought them now. Will be channeling Wendy's YouTube video and having a go at wearing them with bare legs (and fake tan, am blessed with legs so pale they're pretty much blue). Love the cobalt skinnies and almost bought the scarf.
Speaking of scarves, amber yet again you have me Envy! Your party outfit yesterday was fantastic. I'd been thinking that pink skinnies would have to wait for the sunshine so was impressed by January-friendly styling and v v jealous of LV purple leopard. Have been wanting this for ages and contemplating buying a clearly fake one from eBay! How did you get on at Harrods sale? I only just managed to resist messaging you to beg you to hunt down any j brands in a 24 for me...
Glad you like the maternity leighs looby. Hope you're feeling well.
mrscb and hopefully I've just seen you on the 'how much do you spend?' thread: interesting reading! I'm too afraid to calculate my figure but was a bit Shock and then Blush that some posters thought one item a month was too much...!

Hoping for some deliveries in the morning. Ooh, have just thought, if new Reiss faux fur arrives and is a keeper could wear it to nottm mu!

pickledsiblings · 22/01/2012 20:06

La la la...the female of the species is more deadly than the m-ale...Grin.

Glad you've had a good day Bloss and yes, I miss being at home Smile.

AmberNectarine · 22/01/2012 20:25

Evening all

Feeling a bit off colour so laid up on sofa while DH does the ironing. Came away from Knightsbridge empty handed would you believe?! Found navy 811s but not in my size sob and was very tempted by a Marc Jacobs scarf but I literally have dozens of scarves, so decided against.

Picked up my MK watch so new purchase happiness anyway!

blue I do like it, is real but was bought second hand on eBay for a lot less than the c. £600 retail price! Goes very well with the pink j brands! Have you seen the new colour ways for the C/E leopards? All pastels and bloody gorgeous! Hope you and all the other ladies enjoy the mini MU!

fritzi love the boots! Still fancy a pair of suede 5050s!

Have so many types of envy reading this thread - pregnancy envy, kitchen envy, fit-for-pastels leg envy...

Portia4 · 22/01/2012 20:27

Thanks Fleecy for tip on Aggies just ordered them to replace my beloved Massimo Dutti boots that were faulty. ' hope that everyone has had a great weekend.

I saw Little NY's photo on Facebook, gosh, but it looks sore, hope that she is on the mend Smile
Bloss you are some woman to have taken to the cycling so well, my DH is a keen cyclist but I have never got into it, my present while in hospital after giving birth to DD3 was a bike!

Fleecy · 22/01/2012 20:30

Ha ha emo I saw Space once. Did they also do a song about my beautiful neighbourhood? I think we are pretty close in age and were probably therefore into many of the same obscure bands of the mid 90's Grin

I must check out this spending thread. I have overspent loads these last two months so am planning to shop from my bulging wardrobe a little more.

Glad you have ordered the boots blue - I really like them but they are too simliar to my taupe Jalouse so don't think I can really justify. Especially in view of all the other spending. Have you decided on a name for your DD yet? I saw your thread on baby names and you can guess which name I like the best Grin

MarshaBrady · 22/01/2012 20:37

Fritzi love the boots! Fab way to start a thread.

Apuski love the skirt, and Fleecy the scarf and jeans will look great on you.

Caricofi great jeans, and love the discount too.

I started looking for a blazer for Spring this afternoon, not much luck yet. Came close in Malene Birger but the wrong colour.

MarshaBrady · 22/01/2012 20:38

Have a fabulous MU tomorrow!

Hopefully · 22/01/2012 20:44

So tempted to order Aggies in leather too, but I don't think I'll wear them anywhere that I wouldn't wear the suede, so somewhat pointless, especially as I prefer the suede. Blue I have aspirations of wearing mine bare legged in the summer. People might run and hide though.

Portia you must have been thrilled with that birthing present! I don't think I would have been grateful for a bike after giving birth even if it was diamond encrusted.

Amber I am Envy of your dozens of scarves. DH thinks I have a ridiculous number. I have three that I regularly wear, and maybe two others that aren't perfect. I actually threw one out today as it had proper big holes in it (as in, I'd worn it out. Who knew you could even wear scarves out?!). I am still on the hunt for some more lovely scarves in my colours, have ordered one from Matches which should arrive with my Marants this week, but am keeping eyes open for more. NYE and I have decided that there is definitely a gap in the market for someone selling actual nice scarves for people who've had their colours done.

Ooh, suede 5050s. I have had a vague hankering for OTK boots for a while, and was so excited when my consultant said it would probably be a good look on me on the style day. Although they will probably be totally out next winter and I will look like a tit Hmm Grin. Can't find any nice brown ones atm, luckily.

The 'how much do you spend?' thread is v interesting. I'd bet good money that a lot of people who are guesstimating spend an awful lot more than they think they do. I could tell you to the nearest fiver what I've spent on clothes in the last year, and what I've spent in the last two weeks (which is about 5x what I've spent in the last year!), so feel qualified to comment on there.

Sniff. Thanks Bloss! I really can't wait to meet everyone properly and feel like less of a newbie. And the violin = serious dedication to the cause of impressing a boy Grin

Must actually order myself a BBH tonight, am sure it would help with my new short hair (which I already want shorter).

I am upstairs hiding from my mother. I suggested today that she might like to go home tomorrow, but she is determined to stay and slave drive help until Tuesday.
