Sorry for poor thread title but I am hopeless at rhyming at the best of times...
Unbelievable how quickly we filled the last thread!

Had one hour on Friday before the meeting started and used my time very efficiently and bought these. They are not quite as high as the 50/50s but suit me better. Was hugging the shopping bag close to me on the train back home yesterday Grin.

ollie Such a shame that your DH isn't going to go with the job offer over here. Oh, the fun we could have!

hopefully Having you on this thread is great and I enjoy reading your posts a lot. I hope your mother doesn't find any more tidying tasks for you today. You look fab in your wedding pictures.

annie Hope you got all your work done last night and have the chance to get some rest today.

red We have our hob on our kitchen island too. We couldn't decide on backsplash for ages. Haven't had one for ages and it is absolutely fine. I do most food preparation stuff on the island anyway.

Have lovely Sundays everyone!

Oh god, I've blinded you all with my hideously pale legs haven't I?

MidnightinMoscow · 23/01/2012 15:43

Ollie. I love the colour, but I am not 100% about the length. However, given its a ££ dress, I would wait until tonight and the DC's are in bed and do the whole spanx/tights and shoes thing. Then you and we can really give a proper opinion. You are not bow legged by the way.

Agree with the others, like the Lulworth Blue the best. Your kitchen is so lovely by the way.

Thanks Bloss, I have just ordered that book.

Great news about the deadline Red and very exciting about the tuition role too. I am trying to upload the pictures of our kitchen but not having much luck at the moment.

Beautiful scarf Zembo.

Try Trilogy for the Hudson's carciofi?

blossoming · 23/01/2012 15:43

I was going to say ollie that you should send it back as you're not bag hugging or squealing with delight. Then I saw the photo and I think you look cool. Love your hair colour too. Hard one to call! Prefer it to Janice.

blossoming · 23/01/2012 15:47

red, sell, sell, sell yourself, and include references to personal learning and thinking skills. Refer to past, present and future (what you've done, what you are doing now, and what you want to be doing in the future).
Back later.

MidnightinMoscow · 23/01/2012 15:55

Red, photos of the kitchen tiles are on my facebook page instead.

Hopefully · 23/01/2012 15:55

Agree with MIM - photo with tights, shoes etc needed. Definitely more special than Janice though.

OllieinOrange · 23/01/2012 16:13

Yes - its not such a good pic of the Janice is it? Will remove!

Ollie, you look very cool in the dress.

Fleecy, why yes, of course. :)

Good luck with the application, Red.

Thanks Mim, I only really wanted them because of the price. I think I will get my old favourite Current/Elliots again.

VerityBrulee · 23/01/2012 16:36

Ollie I'd love to see your dress and kitchen Smile

Red good luck with the application, great advice from pickled and bloss!

Sorry for absence, I have been totally consumed with negotiations with the insurance company. A lot of people advised me to get a loss assessor, but I did it myself (and it was hellish) and the fee I would have paid the assessor (and compensation for some lovely things I lost) will now be spent on something I have wanted for a long time, a very W&A treat steel&nuance=3 Fritzis watch Grin I have already tried it on and am going to get a navy strap and order a raspberry one. I am so relieved that it's all over I could cry. Instead I think I will celebrate by taking dc out for a cake!

Big wave to everyone, normal shopping service resuming soon (i.e. 9am tomorrow morning - yay!)

rufus101 · 23/01/2012 16:39

Ollie I love the dress, so I think its a keeper. Very edgy. What a lovely kitchen as it is! I'm not a fan of blue on walls, but of those blues think the lulworth blue is nicest. How about chatworth white or elephants breath though? Both would look good with your cupboards, and a slate grey floor.

rufus101 · 23/01/2012 16:56

Gorgeous watch VERITY. Well deserved after all you've been through.

Portia4 · 23/01/2012 17:03

Ollie I think the dress looks very sophisticated, but quite long, would you be able to get it taken up?

Verity best of luck with the renovation project, what a lovely reward to yourself - the watch !

Ollie I too prefer the lulworth as I think the other colour would be quite cold with the slate.

Red best of luck with the job application.

AmberNectarine · 23/01/2012 17:10

ollie I like! Though not with shoeboots, a nice low cut court would work well! As you know I am a big fan of the dress, but as you say, you need to be 100% sure!

blossoming · 23/01/2012 17:16

I liked it with the shoe boots! Could hopefully advise on the taking up issue?

What a gorgeous watch verity, and so well deserved.

pickledsiblings · 23/01/2012 17:21

Ollie, the dress looks good, colour is right for you and I think the length works too but you do need to feel comfortable in it. Agree with others that you should have a proper trying on session for DH.

About the Lulworth blue, although it's a nice colour, it doesn't look that different from what's on there already. Are you just painting walls or is it units too? If it's for the walls, I think you could afford to go a bit bolder - more to choose from here.

Verity, well done you on sorting all that out yourself.

Ants, so glad you are peeing normally feeling better Smile.

MrsCampbellBlack · 23/01/2012 17:36

Ollie - I'm going to go against the grain and say no.

I think its a bit too long and jersey is a nightmare to take up. I think you could find something nicer and easier to wear for the £££.

loobylu3 · 23/01/2012 18:13

Can I see you pics prett please, Ollie?

notyummy · 23/01/2012 18:36

Ollie - I think we need to see it as you would wear it on a night out (says she that regularly posts pics of herself with bedhead hair and no make-up.....) I think it is more flattering than the Janice, which is a v good thing, no?

Thanks to all the lovely MU ladies today!

Blue is petite and gorgeous with a ridiculously neat bump. Can't believe there is only 3 weeks to go!

Icecream is also looking fantastic with the most luminous skin Envy.

Zembo was absolutely rocking the Roxy and we all had a stroke. Was fab to catch up.

Overall I had a lovely time and ate a bit too much....but that chocolate brownie was really lovely Wink. Salad for tea tonight! ICC very kindly brought her Earharts to try on, which I held up in front of me and we swiftly realised would look like pedal pushers on me Grin. The perils of being 5 ft 10....

Russianred · 23/01/2012 18:43

Ollie I think the dress is lovely and very you. And rather sexy! Have a go at walking in it and see if it ruches and ends up being much higher - the fabric looks quite loose around your lower leg and would need to be made shorter if it doesn't. I agree with Pickled that a bit bolder on the colour front could work - a greenier blue perhaps? But I do like the Lulworth very much.

Thank you lovely Bloss and lovely Pickled - application has just gone off after some editing with DH. Fingers crossed - the money is good and it would be a very good foot in the door/warming up for returning 'proper' next year.

MiM - have just looked on FB and commented. Thank you for doing that - your kitchen is looooooooovely.

Lovely watch Verity, you truly deserve it after the last few months.

Back later - need to finish up the outstanding work from yesterday!

notyummy · 23/01/2012 18:45

Oooh yes - fantastic watch Verity and well deserved!

IceCreamCastles · 23/01/2012 19:07

I had a lovely time too-food was delicious, everyone looked great and we had a really good chat.

Ollie- it does look very good on you but not sure it would be very easy to wear at that length. You need to feel 100% comfortable with it for that price. Agree you need a proper trying on session to get a better idea.

Need to get dd to bed- will be back later

AmberNectarine · 23/01/2012 19:12

Think we need a mini-MU outfit breakdown....

Zembo · 23/01/2012 19:28

Really lovely to see NY and Icey again and to meet Blue* today

Icey and Blue you both have fabulous looking pregnancies, all neat and contained. I have pregnancy envy, you're both making it look a breeze.

NY just to repeat (for the third time!) you looked great in that dress and you too have extremely luminous skin - your amazing exercise routine must be a contributing factor.

Blue did you buy anything in Whistles?

Fritzi will let you know re: scarf, I've had my eye on the more teal coloured one but thought I might as well order both. amber I wondered if that was the scarf you'd seen, which colourway did you see?

Verity well done on the negotiations. If I wore a watch, the one you've chosen would be a serious contender, I love how understated it is.

Ollie agree we (and you) need to see the fully styled dress. Lovely kitchen.

MIM another lovely kitchen

Just a bowl of porridge for me tonight and then off for a swim to work off lunch Smile

AmberNectarine · 23/01/2012 19:33

They had it in both zembo and the red. I had my eye on the lovely blue!
