I'm really tempted to try ones of these. Anyone recommend Glossy Box, Boudoir Prive, Feel Unique or similar? I keep reading beauty blogs to see which is best.

Ha Ha Chaos I have a white clean patch on my bedroom floor carpet from DD doing exactly the same thing.

Kellamity · 23/01/2012 17:57

My Carmine box has arrived and it is a thing of beauty! I love love love it! I am off for a shower just so I can use the pomegranate shower gel!! And it has some anti ageing cream and there was I thinking I was too old Grin

NannyPlumIsMyMum · 23/01/2012 18:40

Ooh you have both got me very excited for mine !
Although knowing my luck ,mine will get here and be crap and I will be wishing I went with Glossybox and Carmine ....

NannyPlumIsMyMum · 23/01/2012 18:41

kellamity that was very quick !

Kellamity · 23/01/2012 18:42

I ordered it last week and it said within 7 days. It's December's box which is great as it means another one will be following shortly!

Rindercella · 23/01/2012 18:54

Pomegranate shower gel you say? I am sold Grin

NannyPlumIsMyMum · 23/01/2012 20:54

kellamity I'm green ... Wink

ChaosTrulyReigns · 23/01/2012 22:54

Oh bum.

Soemthing just made me order the Carmine box.

Blush

Could I suggest that anyone who decides to sign up for a beauty box, contacts an existing subscriber on this thread (not necessarily me, obvs) so that loyalty points can be earned?

Seems a shame not to share the lurve.

mirai - I'm not in the UK but several of the beautybox sites have been franchised to my country.

There is a gap in this market, but as I've given a friend the head's up on what it is I'm keeping shtum for now! Wink

frazzled74 · 24/01/2012 06:23

does any one want to earn points referring me for a glossy box?

MrsMeow · 24/01/2012 08:30

Frazzled, I will if you like? Got to go now but I'll be back about 5ish if that's any good? :)

PinotMN · 24/01/2012 14:03

Yves Rocher Grin I loved that too They still have their shops in France and it's still the same old stuff!

MorrisZapp · 24/01/2012 15:59

I still get Yves Rocher! Check out their website - once you've ordered you'll get all the bumph in the post about free pashminas and gift sets etc. It's just the same as it always was, but the packaging is all loads more sleek and desirable...you have been warned!

I get Glossybox and FeelUnique. Think I'm going to cancel GB after Feb. I love getting boxes but two a month is just daft. I gave my entire Xmas FeelUnique box to my SIL for her xmas pressie, you could have heard the squeals of excitement in Belgium :)

MorrisZapp · 24/01/2012 16:01

Can't get a link up but it's yves-rocher.co.uk

Housewife2010 · 24/01/2012 21:05

If anyone wants to order a Glossybox and is willing to let me earn Glossypoints (yes, that's what they call their loyalty scheme!) by referring them, please PM me your email. Yours hopefully, HW

I've just given in and subscribed to Carmine as its only £5 including postage for the first month.

Housewife2010 · 25/01/2012 21:11

FAO Stella
Do you have a code for Carmine. I've gone on their site & it's quoting me 12.95 for my 1st box. How are you managing to get yours for £5. I want one too!

OP posts:
StellaAndFries · 25/01/2012 21:22

I did it through the Facebook page, it came up on my sidebar advertising it for £5 so I clicked it and it took me through to the order page.

Housewife2010 · 25/01/2012 22:00

Thank you Stella
I've found it now. Are you going for the January box or the February? I'm trying to make up my mind. I know what's in the January one , but it might be nice to have a surprise.

OP posts:
StellaAndFries · 26/01/2012 07:16

I've gone for the January :) I thought it might come quicker than the February one :)

speculationisrife · 26/01/2012 07:43

Very excited to come across this thread! I just discovered the whole concept of beauty boxes before Christmas, but only knew about the Glossy Box - didn't realise there was a whole world of them out there. Till now I've been all about the style, but approaching 40 and have realised I need to up my game with the beauty. I usually use good stuff (Dermalogica, Dr. Hauschka, etc.) but in a fairly random way, and I'd love to try other things out without spending a fortune on full-size products I might not like.

Am off to follow Kellamity and order the Carmine box. Incidentally, there's a great section in Feb's Harper's Bazaar about skincare for the slightly more mature Grin woman. Can't believe that's me - I still think I'm 28, but the lines between my mouth and nose and the slight softening of the jawline tell me otherwise. Horrors!

And that's my beauty confessional!

speculationisrife · 26/01/2012 07:56

Too stupid to figure out how to get the discount on the Facebook page and too impatient to wait for someone to come along and help me, so have just ordered it in the normal way. Can't wait - I really like the sound of the January box.
