Glasgow is great zembo! We spend a lot of time on the Ayrshire coast at Turnberry, which is only about an hr away. Really looking forward to Monday - but no idea what to wear. I must also warn you that bump is gigantic now.

IceCreamCastles · 18/01/2012 21:16

Happy Birthday Red - sounds like you've had a good day and a lovely surprise to round it off.

So pleased for you and Roxy MiM. Are you watching One Born Every Minute tonight?

Hopefully - I love your shopping spree links. Any chance of some photos of you in your new stuff?

Zembo so excited for you and your new life in Glasgow. Sure roxy looks great on you. What else are you and Blue wearing on Monday?

I think NY is wearing a dress aren't you? I have a couple of choices but both neither is setting the world on fire.

Blue I have those blochs in my basket too but am dithering for some reason.

So many lovely colours of Leighs in Topshop when I had a quick look today. Think I will def get some post baby as I've loved my maternity ones. They are looking decidedly worn now though.

Oops - cross posted with you Blue!

AmberNectarine · 18/01/2012 21:21

Ooh yeah, photos Hopefully!

It does have a hint of Boden NYE but the spots are v neon. I like the taupe/yellow colour which, I imagine, is about as bad as it gets for a potential winter!

Hopefully · 18/01/2012 21:23

Icey but if I take photos it will give you all the chance to compare me with the 5'11" models that hang around looking louche and skinny on the NAP/My-W site! Will take photos when I have shredded more soon

Ah, not so bad then! After lots of to-ing and fro-ing I have finally managed to sort a date for my colours, but it's not til March 3rd! Does this woman not know I have important scarf buying decisions to make?!

I thought that scarf was boden too nye! Not entirely sure how I'd style the shirt. Tucked into bright pink 811s or white skinnies, perhaps, or out and belted over vest and black jeggings? Hard to tell without seeing it but I do keep yearning to try wearing blouses/shirts and that one really appeals and is a great price.

icey I feel bored by every possible maternity outfit but imagine I will wear a dress on Monday as I'm now finding jeans really uncomfortable.

AmberNectarine · 18/01/2012 21:46

Yes, yes I know it's a bit Boden, but I'd wear it in such an edgy, stylish way it would look totally ironic, yeah? Wink

loobylu3 · 18/01/2012 21:58

Belated happy birthday red. Sounds as if you had a good day.

I really like the Oushka bags that you linked to NYE. Am tempted now. Not sure about the Zara ones ollie as the leather doesn't look great quality. Would need to see it in the flesh to decide. Nice jeans!

hopefully- loving your purchases especially the gorgeous colours of the j brands! Like the striped Anglomania, not so sure about the second. Congratulations on the big hair cut. I need to get one organised too but hoping to go to a new more up market hairdressers and not sure if the will be happy with me taking DD2 as I usually do!

MIM- well done on making a decision on the Roxy. Good news on the babysitter front too. I think small things like that can make a big difference to how you feel (can't say that I take my own advice on this but should do).

carciofi- how lovely of your DH to suggest a solo weekend for you in Dublin. It's funny that when you are feeling really fed up/ stressed, there always seems to be something better just around the corner.

Great news re Glasgow zembo

IceCreamCastles · 18/01/2012 22:11

Eek-have ordered blochs (in 2 sizes). Will only lose sleep worrying that they will sell out before I make my mind up otherwise.

Red, just a quick and a late one to wish you a happy birthday Smile. Hope you had a great night out with your DH.

blossoming · 19/01/2012 08:09

Hi everyone. Really hard to keep up with everyone's posts at the moment. We are in a prolific phase!
Love reading them though.
I am celebrating a brighter position on the bathroom scales (a good few pounds since the awful Jan 3rd weigh in. My weight does fluctuate though, so it could be a blip), by wearing the best dress known to man: pinstripe davina. Could have been made for me. Absolutely love it!
Have great days everyone. Anyone expecting any purchases? I'm awaiting some sweaty betty stuff, and the black cherry jeans. Unfortunately I think my parents are going out for the day (how very dare them Wink), and dh is in London, so they may remain undelivered. Shame.
I may have to namechange. DH has discovered my MN name. I don't think he'd lurk..

Morning all.

Great news on the scales Bloss! I also appear to be back down to where I like to be. Will see if it stays there...

I am awaiting coated skinnies from H and M. Have really got to much stuff this month and must cease.

Midland MU - I will be wearing a dress. Choice of two I think, both new. No meetings on Monday so may go for the more casual choice with flat boots (easier for walking up hill to restaurant!!) May depend on weather forecast too.

Hopefully - well done for being so Wise about your great haul. You are right, at that price they have got to pass every test. I think I am guilty of keeping lower price items that don't pass the test - it really should be applied to everything as they don't really get worn. £30 or £300 wasted - its all annoying, isn't it?

Possibly TMI, but I have a crop of bumpy blackheads on one side of my face? What to do? Any tips? Had a squeezer Hmm I know, I know....and that hasn't helped. Who would have thought it? Any ideas/potions gratefully received.

Off to meeting. Will pop in later.

Russianred · 19/01/2012 08:49

Morning all! Had such a lovely evening with DH, we went to this lovely restaurant and ate lovely food, shared a gorgeous bottle of wine and laughed lots. Outfit was well-pitched <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=french+connection+berrie+dress&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1366&bih=643&tbm=isch&tbnid=pxYU2wf3-FtNYM:&imgrefurl=www.shopstyle.co.uk/browse%3Ffts%3Dberry%2Bdress&docid=-kuR8OnAP4e8_M&imgurl=resources.shopstyle.co.uk/sim/cc/be/ccbec92988a5ba231c5afdac31c1cf9a/french-connection-isme-by-marshall-ward-black-dresses-berry-jersey-dress.jpg&w=154&h=205&ei=39MXT922B5SA8gPs4N2vCw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=604&vpy=190&dur=241&hovh=164&hovw=123&tx=75&ty=120&sig=113668068442705492181&page=1&tbnh=164&tbnw=123&start=0&ndsp=14&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this dress for anyone not at MU.

Glad the VBAC day went well MiM, hope you're feeling reassured and calm about things (not that it came across that you weren't, but speaking from my own experience).

Great news about having your colours done Amber.

I can very much relate to that feeling NYE (where friends are etc) and agree that we all make our various choices/sacrifices.

Hooray for weight loss Bloss.

I'm going to go back and try on some more Leighs at the weekend - they may have been alright - I was in a dress and had both DC with me and they fitted so nicely at the waist. My legs are already changing shape with some shredding, so there's hope yet.

Blue Shopbop has been the best price I've seen for Navy 811s. I think we may well have a similar style - I always like your lins Smile.

Zembo garish top here. I found that it came up very big though. Great news about Glasgow!

Russianred · 19/01/2012 08:52

Hi NY - I rate those blackhead strips and also have a squeezer from The Body Shop which works well from time to time, but can irritate further, making it all the more obvious. Failing that, one of those peel off face-masks?

AmberNectarine · 19/01/2012 09:20

Aww, sad i'm not waiting for anything. Still, whatever I make on eBay by the end of this week is going towards the SS12 budget.

Dismal weather here today. Wearing navy Agnes, gap blue marl l/s top, whistles pink snakeskin belt, mulberry fox necklace and big leopard scarf. Was wearing nude ballerinas but took one look outside and stuck my hunters on!

DH was up working til midnight and then left the house at 6.30am, poor soul. Will have to make him a nice dinner and give him lots of TLC!

rufus101 · 19/01/2012 09:39

Thanks for the lipstick recommendation Bloss, will be at the Mac counter at the airport in a few weeks. Have one for you too. Went to get the Mac Dollymix, but sold out,but got 2 lovely blushers from BB, Twany and Plum. I wear the plum at night and the other for day.
Sound like a lovely night Red, and well done to all those disciplined people on the weight watching. Wish I could be so disciplined. I will just have to wait for a stressful event. (which in fairness shouldn't take too long to occur in my life!)

FritziGreenEyes · 19/01/2012 10:03

rufus Or you could always go back to the gym for another intensive 1:1 workout Wink.

amber I'm also busy ebaying and I'm really pleasantly surprised how much money I have made so far.

red Wonderful birthday and gorgeous outfits.

ny Can you get a quick lunchtime facial?

Well done to all shredders and dieters!

annie That is such a lovely gesture from your DD1. Smile

Looking forward already to hear all about the mini MU on Monday.

Mim Glad to hear Roxy has settled in well Grin. mrscb I'm sure you'll find a good foster home for yours if you don't like it anymore.

zembo Exciting news about Glasgow. My Dsis's best friend lives there too.

My Mum is coming today to look after DD while I'm going away for the weekend for work. We are also having DD's friend from school here for a sleepover tonight. Eek, need to get organised and do laundry, shopping, tidying...
