Best I could come up with......

Marsha just got your pm thank you. I know i am thick about things like this but does the table deposit go towards the bar bill - so we would effectively be 250 pounds in credit to start with and that covers the minimum spend????

Not thick Ollie - I just pm'ed the same question!

I love the Boden blouse you've linked to Carciofi - may add that to my order. How exciting about the weekend in Dublin!

AmberNectarine · 17/01/2012 21:30

Have just put a load of stuff on eBay. Feeling virtuous.

fritzi my NCT group is having a collective 2nd birthday party so I am doing double choc cheesecake for the grown ups and gingerbread men for the nippers.

DH made me laugh today, he is going up for partner at work, but the powers that be are worried that he lacks gravitas due to his youthful looks, so they are sending him to a coach to help him look older, including restyling. Funny that in the same week I have been wailing about needing Botox for my frown lines he is trying to age himself.

red I love these because they are cheaper than the Marants

blossoming · 17/01/2012 21:30

How lovely for you carciofi! And enough time to plan a little capsule wardrobe! Love the dvf bag styled with the white skinnies!
I once saw someone with a beautiful miu miu bag at the hairdressers. They don't have them any more. But one of my 6th formers has a River Island version! Should get a fund going, for a beautiful bag.
Have ordered the black cherry jeans fritzi. There is a gap for a cool black dress but the search continued. Not for polyester though!

MarshaBrady · 17/01/2012 21:41

Ah yes it is a good question. I need to double check. Just tried, not there, so will ring tomorrow.

I assumed it would be for us to spend, but need to make sure. Better be!

Hopefully · 17/01/2012 21:42

Ooh, lots of opinions on the Dicker boots, thank you all! Also v interesting that despite the universal Jalouse love, everyone seems to find them a bit loose. Much to ponder...

Red I sometimes wonder if it's weird to post here about things like knowing all of NYE's clothes in RL! That Whistles jumper is really nice, v cheerful.

Pickled I am lol at a house passing the Roxy Test. We're going to be looking for a house this year, and I will be diligently applying the Roxy Test to all potential purchases.

AmberNectarine · 17/01/2012 21:47

red did you ever get any green jeans?

OllieinOrange · 17/01/2012 21:47

Lovely dress on My Wardrobe here. They have it in red Emo? Smile

Hopefully do your ASOSboots not cut the mustard then?

Hopefully · 17/01/2012 21:50

Amber I forced myself to list some old stuff on Ebay last week and have just cleared £100, and have a Brora cardigan and a few bits of DH's crap finishing tomorrow, so should get even more. It's nice when it all adds up.

Bloss I've been contemplating my dire handbag situation today. I made a change bag before giving birth to DS2, and have been using that to death ever since, and it looks bloody dreadful. I quite fancy a slightly slouchy sort of bag, but really have no idea. I used to love Mulberry bags, but they seem to be so different now, and so much more expensive! I'm sure I paid about £350 for my Bayswater back in the day (which I eBayed last year for only a bit less than that, so was pleased). Can anyone suggest what brands can I look at that have bags that are nice quality and not too ladylike? (by which I mean not too dainty, really). I've been contemplating a satchel, but I think it's just too sensible. Bag needs to be big.

Hopefully · 17/01/2012 21:52

*Amber8 I absolutely love the ASOS boots, and would happily order another pair, but they are literally just half an inch too high for wearing all day every day. They are my favourite of all the ankle boots I have tried so far, it's just the extra height that is a pain.

blossoming · 17/01/2012 21:56

That is lovely ollie, apart from the midi length!

OllieinOrange · 17/01/2012 21:56

Those jeans look good carciofi. I wore my white jeans a lot last summer so will get some new ones. Was wondering what Boden jeans are like? I like the length of the Cropped ones but they look more straight than skinny.
Great about your trip back home. You'll enjoy it so much, it'll feel like youve had 2 weeks away!

Pickled ahhh, that made me smile. Save it for the 17th!

I like the this jumper with the breton. here

No, not weird at all Hopefully!

Anyone who likes the Reiss stripy dress there is a worn once in a M on eBay at the moment.

Amber I did see those jeans, but have decided to get a navy pair of 811s and then try to stop buying bottoms for a while. They are bargainous though.

Lovely Acne jeans - nice rise on them. I felt a bit self-conscious in white jeans last summer and ended up dying them - wish I could pull them off!

I have decided to go to the party as Liesl von Trapp - if anyone can find a suitable curtain-esque outfit for a song, please send it my way!

Hopefully · 17/01/2012 22:22

It's alright NYE, we'll just lie through our teeth Grin. Oushka bags look nice, will have a proper look when I'm, ahem, doing my tax return tomorrow.

I tried on the indigo 811s today red, very nice!

ApuskiMcClusky · 17/01/2012 22:54

Yet again drawn in by the lure of fancy dress!

Red, I have three offerings for you: I'm sure I used to have these curtains, or how about: who knew it would be in the sale? And my personal Liesl favourite is: I can see Maria sewing it now.

Hello everyone - must go to bed!

Good Morning All.

Lovely links yet again.

Fantastic news about your trip to Dublin carciofi, very well deserved. Yes, you'll be able to plan a fab weekend away wardrobe.

annie I know what you mean about promotion. I have been in my post for the longest time I have ever been in a job, and in theory should be looking towards the next step up the ladder. Highly unlikely though for me to do so for a few years yet. I think being super stressed though is not only about the act of leaving work, but rather what you think your colleagues will think and moreover, what you think of yourself. That's been my biggest issue going back to work, managing my expectations of myself. It's hard when a big part of your internal values are governed by your role at work.

Lovely friend who is babysitting for me called last night to see if she could eat nuts in her cereal this morning before coming over. Smile Made me realise though that other people will take DS's allergies seriously. Therefore have decided to start researching for a local babysitter for the odd evening out with DH, which I think will do our relationship the world of good.

I will be interested to see what the black cherry jeans are like Bloss, they look great. I am hoping to venture into the coloured jean arena this year, but maybe darker colours for me. I really love those 811's in Saphire Blue though.

Well, having done some playing around, moved some money etc (I sound like a have a portfolio of offshore accounts!!) I will be purchasing Roxy after all! She is waiting for me to collect her later toda. Smile Decided that I should be able to save some money over the next few weeks especially as I am now buying no more mat clothes.

Can't wait to bring her home. Grin
