Don't suppose I've been any use to you whatsoever issimma Grin, good work on sorting out your wardrobe.

Emo, can we have a pretty picture of you on here too? Hope the birthday girl enjoyed her day. I remember 8 as being a real breakthrough age for DD, so much more self awareness that made her a pleasure to spend time with.

MiM thanks for the 811 link yesterday. I am loving the Riviera Blue and the blood orange - Riviera Blue would be a nice replacement for the 99p eBay NL skinnies I bought to see if I could really wear coloured skinnies. I love the colour, but the quality is beyond appalling.

OIO thanks for sandals link - they actually look really useful, and could afford multiple pairs! I hate the way sandals get scruffy so quickly (well, they do when I wear them), so lots of cheap pairs is definitely the way forward for me until I stop grubbing round in the dirt with DS1 and 2. Oh, and my business is not remotely exciting, don't get your hopes up!

I am trying to find a few items of clothing to take with me to the style day tomorrow. OMG I have no clothes. It is comical.

Had an absolutely massive lunch at friends' house today, complete with made-by-me peach cobbler for pudding, yum. Still feel stuffed. Have Shredded in an effort to assuage my guilt. I love Level 3, it is so much nicer than Level 2, and Jillian is so much more friendly!

Issima we keep bumping into one another! Sounds like you had a lovely child-free afternoon.

NYE, that's what I'd hope to achieve from a colours / style day: the confidence to really know when I should and shouldn't buy. Still feel pleased with myself for the non-buying today! Can you recommend me anyone or anywhere in the midlands?

NYE I'm a bit scared to wear my beloved Sophie Harley necklace in case she's mean about it! I love it so and I'm not sure I could take the criticism. Plus I can never ever afford a similar necklace ever ever again.

I was kind of thinking of wearing pretty much what I wore on Thursday, but slightly worried about overheating at her house Grin. Might wear mustard t-shirt instead of a vest, so I can actually remove my cardigan.

Emo76 · 14/01/2012 20:11

pickles I have added a pic you should be able to see (if I have mastered the technology)

had a good blow dry after a haircut - if only it was like that all the time, I would love straighter locks!

red am thrilled for you that you have had a jeans RESULT!

hello issima do stick around

big wave to everyone!

emo can I see your photo? :)

Baby has got a cold, as have we all, so literally zero sleep last night. Bad times. Tried to cheer myself up with my outfit: bright pink 811s, cream whistles s/s sweater, purple supergas and leopard scarf! Wore hair in high ponytail to try and channel peppy cheerleader type. Failed. Have finally got her to bed so am slumped zombie like on sofa with DH.

Welcome issima!

pickledsiblings · 14/01/2012 21:38

OMG Emo, your hair is sooooo long - who would have thought it Smile. You look absolutely gorgeous.

Amber, hope you all get well soon - you should be in bed now.

ApuskiMcClusky · 14/01/2012 21:43

Ladies, I need holiday help - DH and I are sitting here with a laptop and bottle of wine going round in circles, and as I have heard of many fabulous holidays here, I am hoping for some recommendations. What we're looking for - something Med/ southern Europe, proximity to beach but also other stuff to do like interesting towns, walks etc, and somewhere with other people around, so Gite complex or small resort rather than a lone villa. Not bothered about kids clubs et al, though ad hoc babysitter might be nice! Boys will be 4.5 and just 2.

Any suggestions would be great!

ApuskiMcClusky · 14/01/2012 21:47

Oh blue, my HoC consultant had retired sadly, so can't make a recommendation I'm afraid.

Hope you're feeling better soon Amber - Fritzi's a dab hand at medicinal hot drinks!

Apuski can't help with specific recommendations for your area of search (unless you like the look of where we have booked for May here) but I've always found the Owners Direct website really good - you can search via date/locations/size etc.
Also try looking at the reviews section here on MN (under short haul holidays)?

Had a lovely, lovely meal out with DH. Ended up wearing my grey Inwear woolly dress as we cycled to the restaurant (oh the glamour) and its freezing here today. Feel full now tho.

Issimma hello and welcome!

ollie, I just came back from the country house (in tweed davina and R&B shoeboots) after 6 courses and six wines. I am on the alka seltzer.

Loved your post issima, do stick around!
Have a great time tomorrow hopefully. Take headache pills and report back!!

AmberNectarine · 15/01/2012 06:37

Another night with an hour's sleep. And now for some mystifying reason, even though he did none of the night wakings, it's DH 'turn' for a lay-in so I'm up with the kids at 6am. Fair.

hopefully can't wait to hear about your style day!

AntPants1 · 15/01/2012 06:58

Cannot keep up. Am miserable. Still have cystitis. Anti biotics have not worked. Need trip to drs tomorrow. Have drowned myself in cranberry juice.

Will report back later on purchases ...

emo can I see!?

MidnightinMoscow · 15/01/2012 07:22

Same here Amber, DS up since 05.30 and its my turn. I only got to sleep at 3am as well. Painful.

Ants you poor thing. You clearly need different AB's. Have you tried drinking barley water? Its a very old fashioned idea, but I can remember a old school ward sister advising patients to drink it years ago. Worth a try today before you get back to the GP.

Evenings both sound great Ollie and Bloss. Hope you are both not feeling to delicate this morning.

Apuski would you consider Sardinia? We had a fab holiday there pre DC, but it is very child friendly and lots of things to do.

Saw you FB pic Emo, your hair looks fab. Really sleek.

I am thinking of getting my highlights done again. I have tried to like my hair darker, but it does nothing for me and my complexion just looks drained. I gave it my best shot...Grin

Anyone looking for a good animal print belt still? French Connection have a good selection here.

Hopefully · 15/01/2012 07:59

Sorry for those of you surviving on no sleep and Ants you sound so poorly. Hope you start to recover soon Sad

I am off to my style day in a minute. Naturally AF has just returned for the first time since giving birth, but I am nicely dose up on painkillers, so hoping it won't tarnish the day Smile

AmberNectarine · 15/01/2012 08:01

MiM I think this 'turns' malarkey should be done away with while pregnant and breastfeeding. If they're getting 6-8 hours sleep a night they're doing alright in my book, and can donate the lay in to the more needy!
