Ooh I saw those IRL the other day (I say that about everything, must be the most avid of all, or have too much spare time) and they are very nice! I am quite accident prone myself, happens to everyone.

Anniemac you deserve it. My income is up and down and I always just go with it and react accordingly. Your dh is working now, enjoy it! And maybe have a week off Grin. They sound nice btw.

Apuski sales stuff sounds fab. Returns are a pain I agree. I can just about handle the DHL guy but I saw him far too often at the end of last year.

I slept ok last nice but I am so tired today it is madness. My sister is here tonight with her new boyfriend. I've got to do some sort of dinner.

I'm with NY's dh, cannot watch anything about births, eeek. Fritzi, the midwives did say that I was very quiet and extremely polite! I was thinking things like, I am going to kill DH if he ever comes near me again. This is all his fault, etc. :o

Everything, congratulations!

Shane Horgan is gorgeous. Be still my beating heart.

Ollie, it will be much easier to return the dress to NaP, if you need to.

Cocosa is selling Vince today. I ordered this black cardigan for hanging around.

carciofi · 13/01/2012 15:52

Looby, you're right, it is relentless. I have calmed down again though and am back to doting mother as I know I have four hours to myself on Tuesdays!

notyummy · 13/01/2012 16:04

I like that jumper Annie.

Another one who is jealous of your afternoon Blue.

Amber - don't be so modest. I think your outfit sounds great! Thanks for the coated Houlihan feedback (and MIM). I have decided against in the end. After the parka and the two Oasis dresses in the sale, I really don't need any more this month! I am also slightly punishing myself for putting on 2 pounds (can feel it round the hips....was why the Whistles 28 were so 'snug' I suspect.) No new clothes until I have lost it....which could be a while as I don't intent to do that much about it Grin. Have decided to take porridge into work instead of cereal, as I tend to pour myself huge portions of cereal, whereas the porridge I buy is in sachets, and hence controlled - and I know it fills me up. Thats the extent of the diet for the moment. I get into work at least 30 minutes before everyone else so I have a nice quiet time at my desk doing emails, eating breakfast and formulating a 'to do' list before anyone spoils my fun!

Wearing TS black skinny flares, black and white breton, oversized short sleeved grey jumper and grey biker boots. Off to Leeds shortly to see friends for the weekend. No shopping opportunities, but will be fun to catch up with friends.

DD came home from school today with her first love letter Shock. A double sized missive with lots of hearts drawn on one side and 'Wen will you com to my hose?'[ written on one side, and 'You are one of the peeple I love' on the other. How cute...?! No secret who it is from -a fairly longterm 'boyfriend' apparently.....

Am Envy at your no stitches Annie. I have not-so-fond-memories of two hours of emergency surgery immediately after DS1's birth. ELCS with DS2 was a breeze in comparison, however!

Am sitting here twitching with nervousness waiting for a payment to come into my bank account. I may have to accept that it isn't going to be in before the weekend.

Hello all, you're really racing through the thread here!

Have had a funny couple of days with my step-dad; he's a lovely man and very kind to the children and generous, but there's an imagined closeness that isn't really there and although he's been with my Mum for 6 years now, they've always lived abroad, so I don't know him at all. Anyway, he's set off now, leaving a trail of presents in his wake - range of gorgeous toys for the kids, a cashmere scarf and a lovely necklace for me and some bits for the house.

The really exciting news is that the JBrand 811s arrived and they are amazing! Why did I wait so long?! They went down further in the sale and HN refunded the difference without question, so am very pleased. Of course, I want them in all the available colours now. Earharts in a 24 arrived and are perfect and the Farhi bow top too; equally great. I have my shopping mojo back.

Ollie have you ordered? Definitely go NAP, I think.

Blue your outfit and evening sound lovely. Have fun.

I've missed loads and loads, I know, but will lose my post if I scan back. We need to slow down ladies!!

MarshaBrady · 13/01/2012 17:05

Ah I just got a brief for some work that has made my eyes glaze over so much that I feel like a human doughnut. I have to concentrate on a treat at the other end.

Spring Lanvin flats?
Something pretty and fresh.

Red great you have your shopping mojo back. Lovely presents too.

YY Anniemac a pretty dress from NaP should do it.

AmberNectarine · 13/01/2012 17:49

red I thought they would be! Glad you've had some good buys!

ApuskiMcClusky · 13/01/2012 17:50

Back after a successful trip to the hairdresser - I think I managed to pick a good one! And I had a good perusal of Vogue whilst I was there. Was Shock to see that mesh bags are reappearing - I have memories of the plastic versions that clipped together and where everything would fall out. The one in Vogue didn't look that different!

Glad that the 811s hit the mark, red, and that HN matched the discount.

blossoming · 13/01/2012 18:20

Hi everyone. Thanks for kind words!
icey, I think I am very lucky to be able to wear black top to toe really. My wardrobe this season is awash with black and all shades of charcoal, grey and silver. My colour 'pop' is plum and burgundy. Including lipsticks!
What I never seem to get right is summer clothes. Made many mistakes last year, and the year before. I think what I do is buy too early. Classic mistake that I'm going to try not to repeat. The Boden catalogue just arrived and it reminded me of this. Last year I just wore agnes to death with a white top and a linen scarf. Real summer clothes I only got to wear on holiday! So this year I shall not be tempted!
Another interesting thing the HoC consultant told me was if you have an essential piece in you wardrobe, one that you can't imaging being without, you have to straight away be on the look out for replacements. Hence having no qualms in purchasing the agnes last week. To be honest the original ones now look really tatty next to them.
I was going to say that I'm coming round to the idea of the mavericks, but having looked at the video on NaP, I've changed my mind. Fading doesn't work for me.

blossoming · 13/01/2012 18:23

How brilliant that you found jeans that work for you red. See, I told you it was the jeans, and not you!
Great news re hairdresser apuski. It is so daunting I think.
Anyone got anything nice planned for the weekend? I am dreading a day at home tomorrow with whingeing dcs. Or will they be better tomorrow?

pickledsiblings · 13/01/2012 18:40

Red, so pleased that you have found the 'right' jeans Smile.

Bloss, I have found since I have returned to teaching (all of 2 weeks in) that my tolerance for my own DC has dropped enormously - definitely not an upside. Do you have any truly awful classes/children?

Icey, you are gorgeous - I'm sure I've told you that before Smile. For those of you that haven't met Icey she has the most beautiful smile and the rest to match and she actually smiles when she talks - I have tried to emulate as my DC complain that I don't smile enough.

Portia, will miss you at the MU Sad.

Ollie, your posts always make me smile - your DH sounds so lovely, can just imagine his reaction when you called asking for 'style' words in Dutch

Friitzi, I did the apologising thing too during childbirth.

Hopefully · 13/01/2012 19:24

Hurrah for perfect jeans Red!

Bloss I find summer clothing impossible too. There are so many skirt lengths that don't work on my short legs, and I have never quite found a successful summer footwear. In fact, footwear is basically the bane of my life.

Have fun weekend planned - lunch with old university friends tomorrow, and then my style day on Sunday! Hurrah! Although am panicking about what to wear for both things. I actually threw out some more clothes today (I was in possession of a surprising number of tops with actual holes in until recently, and I have just parted with the last two), so my one drawer is even more empty than it was before!

I have been having fun making imaginary shopping lists for after my style day Hmm Grin [need to get out more]
