Best I could come up with......

OP posts:
MidnightinMoscow · 12/01/2012 12:27

Very nice for breton lovers with good arms.

FritziGreenEyes · 12/01/2012 12:35

rufus Interesting... Think I will have to read it then to make up my own mind. Not convinced by the Marriage Plot either. Might not even finish reading it. Time is too short! Was impressed by your gym session. Sounds like a real Bob and Gillian workout.

FritziGreenEyes · 12/01/2012 12:36

I like this cardi in red

VerityBrulee · 12/01/2012 12:56

That's gorgeous fritzi, fab colour and I love the length of the sleeves.

Hopefully · 12/01/2012 12:58

MIM I was thinking of leggings/bare legs with my Aggie ankle boots. Although I do also want a long ivory shirt for wearing with skinnies, but this one definitely isn't a muli-tasker! I think you're right about it being a hard work piece - if it was short length it would be perfect for skinnies, but think I want one in more casual fabrics to wear as a dress, as it would be for day wear.

Hopefully · 12/01/2012 12:59

shorter length, not short length. I am not going for a crop top shirt...

notyummy · 12/01/2012 13:05

Any thoughts on this dress? I quite like the colours, but am not sure...

Hopefully · 12/01/2012 13:08

Ooh, that's a lovely print! Would be a horrible shape on me, but if you are if the smaller and daintier persuasion it would be fab.

VerityBrulee · 12/01/2012 13:13

Shredded this morning for the first time in ages. I love Gillian, I had forgotten all her catchphrases, I always laugh when it comes to that bit about taking the stairs being "a false message of lethargy" Grin

I was in one of those spendy moods yesterday and bought some stuff that I thought the better of when I came home. Then I got a matches email, so I'm taking most of it back and saving up for this Saloni or similar. I remember loving one of their dressses last year, so I am going to be v strict about unnecessary purchases and buy one fabulous item. I will keep this though, theres a lot more pink and red than in the photo, tried to with a raspberry cardigan and it looks great. Also keeping this http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/61338 Vanessa Bruno bag in amythyst, it was reduced to E54, I just couldn't walk away from it!

Fab dress ollie, Bloss I missed the DVF, must scroll back. Her dresses are the bees knees I think.

Rufus I think the DVF you linked to would be perfect for a Communion, very chic. I looked for your Bastyan coat in Dundrum yesterday but no joy. Loved your gym story!

notyummy · 12/01/2012 13:14

Hmm. Am not small and dainty Grin. There in, I suspect, lies the problem. I find myself looking at stuff and when I try it on, it looks like I am wearing my younger/smaller sisters clothes. Hard to explain - not a size thing as such as I am large 10 and therefore not that big. More a height AND size thing - I am quite athletic in build (with a waist, which I need to show off, or can make me look bigger.) Sometimes dresses are made for someone slightly shorter, and not as long in the body as me. And I can't really do sweet...someone of my size looks a bit wrong with sweet.

VerityBrulee · 12/01/2012 13:15

Oh that's a great print NY, think it would be a great buy, there'll be lots of strong prints around this SS

MarshaBrady · 12/01/2012 13:16

Ooh yy to Saloni Verity. I am saving up for one of those too, I loved them last year. Great bag.

MarshaBrady · 12/01/2012 13:17

I think it would suit you NY Especially due to the waist.

VerityBrulee · 12/01/2012 13:17

Ah, X post. I see what you mean. I think it could be good for work though with a cardigan and belt. Worth ordering to see? I imagine the colour would be lovely on you Smile

VerityBrulee · 12/01/2012 13:20

I thought it was you who liked Saloni Marsha Loving all the prints around at the moment, I would love an Erdem or Mary Katrantzou, better keep doing the lottery so!

MarshaBrady · 12/01/2012 13:22

Yes we still have similar taste Smile. (I think)

Raoul, Saloni, Vanessa Bruno. Lovely stuff.

VerityBrulee · 12/01/2012 13:27

Oh, Raoul, lovely. Must get a job! Was your interview yesterday? How did you and ds get on?

MarshaBrady · 12/01/2012 13:30

Yes it was good. But I need advice!

I have been invited back for a second interview but have to do a presentation. I think they are live briefs. I usually charge a decent day rate for the sort of thing they are asking for, but I am hesitating as dh is saying no way bad form. It's free work effectively. I'm not sure I really want it, and I think they should be able to decide based on past performance. But is it standard to do this?

I'm not sure what to do.

notyummy · 12/01/2012 13:32

Verity - Mary K doing a diffusion collection with TS. Out in March I think.

VerityBrulee · 12/01/2012 13:37

I'm out of the workplace way to long to offer useful advice, but good to be asked back Marsha

NY you have made my day Grin between that and the marni for H&M I should be sorted for prints!

Dd has ballet today, I have Grazia and US Vogue to keep me company. I love an hour of peaceful magazine reading!
