Give up smoking? i know i need to, but i would be the size of a house if i did it right now! I need to loose my baby weight, its driving me mad being this size, and wearing the same four items of clothes on repeat!

I'm epileptic, and had a fit whilst i was smoking and hit my head on a brick, so not my fault, but a great reason to take the week of work! Grin

Has anyone on here got a clarisonic? i've got a Clarisonic Mia Its like a sonicare toothbrush for your face, amazing for your skin. A tad pricey though?

I will try and give up chocolate, as its bad for my diet.

I've just had my nails done, and now their pink and glittery! Thats one thing i always have done, I did use to have a spray tan every thursday but i was orang-er than the essex crew. I might get some St. Tropez whilst I'm in town today, I normally use the Clarins face fake tan which is amazing!

More princess Items that people recommend please!

MABS · 19/01/2012 09:33

could i join please or am i too late?

BlackSwan · 19/01/2012 12:32

Mamasin - oh no, I'm sorry you didn't get good results with the dermalogica microfoliant. I'd use it gently in future. Just don't scrub too hard!

Eternalprocrastinator, I haven't had any side effects with Revitalash, though I have with other lash serums. I would take care to only apply it very close to the lash line, regardless.

KateSpade - definitely not your fault. Lucky you're ok now. I have a regular clarisonic, I'm sure the Mia is just as good, just a better size. I use it in the shower, it's great.

It's never too late MABS. You're in. Membership card is in the post!

am fighting chocolate urges (PMT I guess?) but i'm not normally at all like this, usually a crips, nuts and lager gal and usually barely notice when period is or ever noticed any PMT symptoms. Has all the princessing made me very girly and hormonal? Cried at work today, in front of manager, cried buckets (she was/is, ahem, tough). Aargh, am off to see War Horse tonight, my revitalash will be washed away Blush. Thanks blackswan for your encouragement!

KateSpade · 19/01/2012 22:45

Have Slathered on some Lovely Clarin's Moisturiser and Fake Bake before bed, i used a new technique that it mentioned on the bottle, to buff it in with a towel to dry it and get rid of any excess, i shall let you know in the morrow if thats a success or has just removed all my efforts!

catinboots · 20/01/2012 11:37

I am the lone crusader for The Dettol Bath.

Actually, quite a few MNers have tried it and loved it Grin

I do it once a week. Basically you put a splosh of dettol in your bath along with some nice bubbly stuff. When you get out you will have Never. Been. So. Clean. Ever.

It clears up any little nicks or scratches or spots you may have. I find it clears up any dry skin I have too!

I do nothing to look after myself. Nothing.

Am an overweight, slack-skinned, dull-looking 32 year old and starting to feel like I should make more of an effort.

I've been dieting/exercising for 2 weeks now and have lost 10lbs so far.

I think I will have a go at this challenge. It could potentially be a miraculous transformation!

lillybloom · 21/01/2012 22:38

Well done everyone. This thread is helping me stay motivated. I've just recieved a lovely gift of vouchers for the local beauticians. I don't want to use it for routine maintanance- was thinking of a bit of luxury. Any recommendations ladies?

mathanxiety · 22/01/2012 03:38

Fizzy drinks is easy for me as long as tonic water is an exception. The DCs think it tastes like fizzy bile but I really like it and it helps with nighttime foot cramps.

I've been moisturising, mowing doing hair removal, drinking lemon-water, exfoliating (using a washcloth vigorously all over and maybe this counts as body brushing?), intensive nail care, drinking lots of water, whitening teeth, using face cream, vitamins and two extra fruit/veg a day, hair oil; the easy stuff I suppose. One early night a week hope springs eternal. Next to tackle is the stair stepper, fish twice a week. Glass of wine and bite of choc? In the same category as eyelash serum tbd.

BlackSwan · 22/01/2012 09:43

That would be the quinine mathanxiety- do you have restless legs or just cramps?

I'm sick with a cold and downing sambucol (black elderberry) and anti-histamines. Just read on the side of the bottle that overuse may have a laxative effect. Uh-oh.

Having my green tea in the wedding china tea cup as all the mugs are in the dishwasher. That's perking me up on some level.

Toes are now geranium red. Hair washed and blow-dried. Brows tinted. Face scrubbed & polished, serumed and moisturised. Need to dress nicely for lunch. I will not let this cold drag me down.

lillyBloom

Get a spray tan, Nails done and a facial or a massage, if you have enough vouchers. I used to go to the salon for maintenence, but found it was a waste of money, when i could do it myself at home.

let me know what you end up getting.

BlackSwan
I do the exact same thing when i'm ill, i put my highest, fanciest heels on and prance round in my lipstick. It does make me feel better but my friends think I'm mad!

mamasin · 22/01/2012 13:16

how lovely lillybloom, I'd treat myself to a pedicure but I know not everyone likes their feet touched. Something about having pretty feet and toes in winter seems very pampered or how about a body scrub, feeling soft and silky instead of snaggy ! Use is up and tell us what you plumped for. Blackswan, you sound impeccable groomed, must do my nails and defuzzing later ...

Hathall · 22/01/2012 13:51

Could someone please recommend an eyelash growth serum and does it actually work?

catinboots · 22/01/2012 15:18

I've been using rapid lash most days since November.

My eyelashes were ruined after having extensions for my wedding in August.

They ate deffo thicker and longer now. I wish I'd done before and after photos

catinboots · 22/01/2012 15:19

*are

Hathall · 22/01/2012 15:35

Thanks catinboots. I'll look out for that tomorrow.

catinboots · 22/01/2012 16:20

It's not cheap but it really works. I bought it after loads of MNers recommended it. I was sceptical!
