10. Use hair oil (moroccan hair oil for eg, or kerastase etc) 11. No alcohol during the week & no boozing it up on weekends 12. Take vitamins every day 13. Body brushing 14. At least 2 servings of salmon or other fatty fish per week. 15. One early night once a week. Suggest 9PM. 16. Regular hair removal 17. Give up one naughty favourite item e.g. chocolate/crisps 18. No more fizzy drinks 19. DAILY body moisturising 20. Warm water with lemon first thing in the a.m.

Hi ladies I am still princess-ing and feeling good. I walked loads today, shredded for the first time in months and drank lots of water but have just scoffed a massive slice of Christmas cake but I do think I deserve it.

Luce I do hope you are feeling better, not a good start to the week! You enjoy your wine tomorrow. The lush cream is going good. I am often pop into lush for a cheeky free sample of stuff!

BlackSwan · 12/01/2012 20:59

Golly gosh - I have '10 years younger' on in the background (I have been left to my own devices for the evening) and this woman who looked beyond hope now looks just incredible. I think I need a cut and colour. And a push-up bra. And new lippy.

NannyPlumIsMyMum · 12/01/2012 21:52

Will try and do this !

EllenRose · 13/01/2012 10:12

I'm in, have discovered this thread just at the point that I have decided to get the rest of the unwanted weight off so hopefully I can emerge for my birthday (end of Feb) feeling and importantly, looking the age I am rather than the age I currently feel Blush
Off to rummage through the cupboards for necessary items . . .

HipHopOpotomus · 13/01/2012 10:20

OMG you've taken my inner voice and created a list!!! With numbers!
I cannot ignore you any more - I must sign up NOW.

Printing off several lists to stick around the flat.
Re Number 17 BUTTER I RENOUNCE YOU

Tell me more about hair oil usage please - I have never felt the need. What does it do? Doesn't it make hair greasy? I have some Moroccan Hair Oil for DD who has super curly ringlet mixed race porous hair but never thought to use it on my straight OK hair.

HipHopOpotomus · 13/01/2012 10:33

mamasin · 13/01/2012 18:59

Have done all the above bar exercising vigorously. I do weights most days and walk when I can. Have put on a few Ibs over xmas despite hardly drinking and certainly didn't pig out. have had fab new hair do that I think is quite sexy tho'

LaVitaBellissima · 13/01/2012 20:23

I'm glad you do this thread BlackSwan I never follow everything, still exhausted with my twins but it makes me think a bit more about what I'm eating, drinking, how much exercise I do. This is the 3rd thread I think and I've already lost a couple of llbs Smile

I also went to bed at 8.30pm last night and felt fanbloodytastic today so I would definitely reccomend the early night ladies.

I'm going to print out the list and place it around the house to encourage me more Smile

Heswall · 13/01/2012 20:52

Can I ask about the Dettol, what is that supposed to do ?
And for body lotion I love the mamamio omega 3 lotion, smells lovely and very easily absorbed.

northeastofeden · 13/01/2012 21:41

I'm in, I am going to try! I am rubbish at this sort of thing, my nails are always a state in particular.

Re: face creams, I really like Avene, I find it better than quite a lot of the more expensive creams and lotions and it is very affordable. I don't know if they do an anti-ageing one, I think I am doing well if I moisturise!

Off to bed, going to have my early night tonight, so I can do some serious princessing tomorrow, will take me at least 12 hours to get even close to completing this list.

How do you guys fit it all in, seriously?! Any tips appreciated!

Has anyone done the Mayr diet plan? That is meant to be good for glowing skin etc I'd quite like to try it.

Also lemon water is meant to get your liver functioning well first thing, and it has an alkalising effect on the body which is why it is so good. I am not a fan of lemon and hot water on its own, so I add fresh root ginger and a bit of manuka honey, make it in a tea pot and let it steep for a while, lovely and warming and delicious and full of good stuff!

BlackSwan · 13/01/2012 22:13

Mamasin, congrats on the new hair do, how nice to hear a good hair story for a change!

To everyone asking about hair oil, it's quite nourishing & doesn't weigh down your hair. I would give it a try with any kind of hair. Depending on the variety of oil you buy, you either put it in before shampooing, or use a few drops after. Or both.

Northeastofeden - great to have you on board. I'm going to look up the Mayr diet plan!

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 13/01/2012 22:21

Evening, can I loiter with intent?

I love the idea of looking after me abit more and the things you have on your top 20 are things I am working on.

I have some face cream and serum for the first time ever
I have started shaving pits and legs (not a shaving bits lady not enough to cause a riot at the pool)

Have stopped drinking caffine recently just because I had bad throat over christmas so now switched to water flavored with a little apple juice.

Nails - yep had first manicure ever at the end of last year, it has made me want to take better care of my hands

will get to grip with the other bits..
Shred.. Hmm have to do something about the lardarse I have become so perhaps will give it a go!

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 13/01/2012 22:23

this is the cream I have

this is the srum I have and I love tem both!

lillybloom · 14/01/2012 08:36

Can anyone recommend something for eye bags? I'm looking more tired every day and my eye gel seems to be making it worse!

BlackSwan · 14/01/2012 13:26

RingerGrunt - wouldn't have recognised you with the new name! You got married in the midst of the last thread, didn't you? Hope you're enjoying wedded bliss.

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood, retinol & vitamins work wonders for skin. Thanks for the recommendation.

lillybloom, I have Feb Vogue in front of me, & it recommends Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair, Clinique's All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage & the Garnier Caffeine Roll On. And touche eclat of course. I might try Estee Lauder. I don't know what she was buying there but I recently saw Nigella (major, major fan worship) at the Estee Lauder counter & frankly I think her skin looks amazing.

lillybloom · 14/01/2012 14:00

Thanks BlackSwan. I'm going Clinique's sounds like what I'm looking for. Will have a bash.

northeastofeden · 14/01/2012 18:34

Thanks for the welcome blackswan Smile it is good to be here, this thread is just what I need! Have just found out that I'm going on lovely beach holiday in June so plan to progress to fully fledged princess status by then!!!

Have to say Estee Lauder advanced night repair is very good - I used it in the run up to my wedding, and it was wonderful, but I fell off the wagon because I am lazy. Also love the EL make up.

Today have done my nails (hands but not feet, will do pedi tomorrow), eaten lots of veg, had plenty of water and have found out about personal training at the gym. Going to book a taster session with the PT for next week. I don't have sufficient willpower to get going on my own...Blush

Would like to get some heated rollers, any recommendations anyone?

virgil · 14/01/2012 18:59

I'm in. I've just started a new job so made an effort last week to look vaguely presentable but need to keep it up. My diet is appalling - in particularly the fizzy drinks - so need to work on that Blush.

I do have £50 of space NK vouchers to spend from Christmas so that will be a good start. Any recommendations? (I already have a clarisonic - which is wonderful by the way if anyone is trying to decide whether to buy)

I bought myself a new nailvarnish this morning and so will do my nails this evening. I can also recommend the organics argan oil (Boots sell it) as a much cheaper version of moroccan oil. Its not quite as good but far more affordable.

BlackSwan · 14/01/2012 19:16

virgil - SpaceNK sell Revive, an excellent skin care line. If you need a night cream, the Moisturising Renewal Cream is very good, it has glycolic acid & other ingredients improving cell renewal.

racingheart · 14/01/2012 20:42

I really need this regime. Thank you for sorting it.
Will have to dust down the shred and start tomorrow, as today have had wine. But did walk 5 miles. And bought lots of moisturiser. (Nivea Q10+ is good for 40+ dry skin)

Can people with very fine thin hair ( :( ) use hair oil, or will it make it even lanker than before?
