I had an SKII mask on earlier and whitened my teeth. I'm also in the midst of potty training DS - this thread is a much needed distraction & the renewed commitment to self-maintenance has definitely lifted my mood!

Welcome to all newcomers and to everyone re-joining the thread.

Putyour, i have bad acne and doctor recommended la roche posay cleanser and toner and is working well. Its very gentle. I don't tend to moisturise as use acne cream After that.
Last night I moisturised and did nails on hands and feet and treatment for hair

Kelly281 · 05/01/2012 19:54

I'm going to try and follow as much of this as possible. I'm off to Slimming World on Tues & starting the Shred routine for the first time. Hopefully I'll be more inclined to look after myself a bit more this year if I get this extra weight off :)

I noticed green tea mentioned in this thread. Do any of you know of any good brands sold in the supermarkets or do you go to specialist stores? I can only ever find the tea bags of green tea in the supermarket and they're awful!

naturelover · 05/01/2012 20:04

I'm a green tea fan and one of my favourites is Clipper loose green tea, which I buy at Sainsbury's. IMO loose tea is always better than the stuff they hide inside teabags. A box also works out much cheaper than teabags, it lasts for ages. I use one of those metal diffuser thingies and it works a treat.

Karbea · 05/01/2012 21:24

I'm in, if you'll have me! Start tomorrow!

I can't do Green Tea as it has caffeine in it, and... what is Shred?

Vesta1 · 05/01/2012 21:24

Never even read the previous thread - I thought "princessing' meant something totally different, :)

I'm in, since I have a very similar programme in my mind for the new year.

I want to be fitter (gym+Tracey Anderson, here I come), healthier - less wine, omega oils every day and more water, prettier - need to sort my wardrobe: bin-sell-or charity and fill the gaps, get into japanese cleansing system, finish off my invisalign, etc etc. Spend more quality time with kids and DH - less TV, more fresh air. Read a book a week. A film a week. The list goes on.

Resolution time, isn't it? Blush

lagrandissima · 05/01/2012 21:25

OMG. If I manage to floss my teeth once a week I feel groomed. Think I'm on the wrong thread...

Vicky08 · 07/01/2012 09:20

Right, I've copied and pasted the list to do a check list for myself. Like sweetheart there are some things I'm not sure about. Hopefully someone can help.

lillybloom · 07/01/2012 09:58

Have filled a 2 litre bottle of water and put it in the fridge.
Exfoliated this morning AND used body lotion
Stacked my trolley with a LOAD of fruit and veg...

Getting there bit by bit

BlackSwan · 07/01/2012 15:38

Vicky08, I like your matter of fact comments on the list! I exfoliate face and body once or twice a week. I'm using a Revive exfoliant for face, which has very fine granules - I think the Dermalogica daily microfoliant is nice to use. I also use a clarisonic which helps. Body brushing is good for circulation not just exfoliating.

As for anti-aging face cream, I have the Olay anti-wrinke range, which I quite like (bought at boots), I also use a Revive night cream which has some glycolic acid in it to help with exfoliation. I love Revive, suits my skin really well. Dr Sebagh, La Prairie & Sisley are also favourites.

Bought my green tea finally. I'm going to cut back on coffee.

Vicky08 · 08/01/2012 14:31

Thanks for the tips BlackSwan , when I thought of exfoliating i never thought of my face. I saw a thread on here before about clarisonics, so you would recommend it then?

Well I can now tick off two more things on the list; taking a multi vitimin every day: done and doing the Shred: done (but I'll have to keep it up).

How's everyone else doing?

Dosey · 08/01/2012 16:30

Hi there ladies I will join this thred since my new year resolutions officially start tomorrow. Could you ladies please tell me which teeth whitening and anti ageing products you use. I am looking forward to the early night every week.

HoneyandHaycorns · 08/01/2012 21:46

I have been doing most but not all of the things on the list over the last few days, and am feeling good about myself! :)

Have quite a bit of weight to lose and think it will take a while - am going slow & steady, but the exercise is definitely helping! And the daily moisturising makes such a difference! Shock

argghh · 09/01/2012 15:30

Oh gosh I so need to do this! Have seriously negelected myself. Will start this evening with serious depilation.

For those who done like green tea or water/lemon can I suggest redbush/roobois tea without milk ? No caffeine and supposed to be good for you.

Somebody mentioned struggling with daily body lotion my face at the moment is Eau Dynamiste from Clarins - very quick to sink in. I was given it as a present and really like it.

Intensive exercise will be my biggest challenge

flipflopflap · 09/01/2012 15:44

Ok It's my first day today after a food and booze filled weekend away. I've drank water and eaten a ton of fruit and veg. Going to sort out my nails tonight as they are a mess, and give my skin some TLC. I'll also re-start my workout DVD- not looking forward to that one Sad

Dosey · 09/01/2012 17:57

Hi there princess mission day one has so far been a success.Though I have no teeth whitener, what is everybody else using. I have drunk green tea by the bucket load but I love the stuff, green tea with Jasmine I think is the best by far. I am not keen on plain water but I bought 1L bottle today and drank it.

How is everybody else doing x

LaVitaBellissima · 09/01/2012 18:09

i am not worthy, I join every time and am sat here with no make up on and hairy legs Shock

This time I'm really doing it!

lillybloom · 09/01/2012 19:09

Am interested but cash and time poor. How long does it take? And cheap versions? I loved Keratase in my pre too-many-children-in-nursery-days.

Vicky08 · 09/01/2012 21:47

Back at work today after the holidays and have been able to keep up with the routine, very proud of myself! I've realised that when you make it a routine and get used to it it comes more easily.

On the last thread someone posted a routine they had, does anyone remember it? it would help to read it again for some ideas/tips.

pigleychez · 09/01/2012 21:56

vincenta · 09/01/2012 22:46

Uh.a lot of to do for one day...
Is it mission impossible?
But I'm in.I would love to be a princess again...because now I look like very bad version of cinderella:)

BlackSwan · 10/01/2012 13:18

Hi LaVitaBellissima, so glad you're back & still have your bottle of Dettol handy! Ouch Lucewheel, hope your arm is better today. Best cure for scattiness? Not having a million things to do... wouldn't that be nice.

Missorinoco, there are lots of products which aren't too expensive and give great results. Flexitol is an excellent foot cream which removes hard skin - if you use it for a week it's like you have been for a pedicure, honest. It only costs a few pounds at boots. Certain skin care lines from the pharmacy or supermarket are also very good without being too pricey - for example Olay. Expensive creams aren't always the best. I would never bother with an expensive body cream - just any old moisturiser is great as long as you use it! That's the tough part.

argghh - you recommended Eau Dynamisante from Clarins, that is such a lovely light clean fragrance. I used to be a Clarins addict (particularly when I was younger & didn't need so much anti-aging help!). Their products smell so wonderful on. The Orchidee Bleu face oil is great for dehydrated skin and smells incredible.

Dosey, I'm using gel teeth whitener which I got from the dentist with custom plates. I recently tried a GoSmile product which you don't need plates for, you rub it straight on your teeth. I was surprised at how well it worked.
