I must post about this. I have just spunked nearly ninety quid on some Bare Escentuals starter kit things.

I arrived at the counter in Stratford Westfield with a hideous bright red, sore, scarred, spotty, sweaty face, and some WITCH managed to take a decade off me with POWDER. Just powder! I mean - WT actual F?! A tube ride and a 20 minute walk home and it's still there. SURELY that's not right. I've used all sorts of super-max coverage matte stuff and it didn't cover ANYTHING like this well. O and I have the glowing rosy cheeks of a teen

I promise I've not been giver a tenner to post this stuff. It's just I've spent so much I feel slightly sick. Does anyone else use this stuff? it's not going to last is it. i'm an idiot. What have I done

...bah, I think I was a bit hasty as I have visible pores on my cheeks, but the heat doesn't help that. and I look a hell of a lot better than I did half an hour ago at least!...

ooh, not sure ggirl. I am shade 2 in EL DW light, and using 'light' which is the darker of the two shades in the light starter set. What shades are included in the medium starter kit?

Mine has been on almost 3 hours and no shine yet :) had a peek in car mirror on school run, sun was shining right on the side of my face yet it looked almost perfect!

Pores are a little visible on chin but I didn't pay as much attention to that area as the rest of my face.

Like PP, real test will be tomorrow when it's on all day and also ping into town so will gawp in lots of different mirrors to check for tango-ness

I went and had a trial done this afternoon and was pretty impressed. I do have the oiliest of oily skin but it did do much better than the Dior forever liquid foundation I usually use (although even I managed to sweat through a little bit in 40C and high humidity). My only criticism is that it has made the pores on my nose more noticeable. I also got a powder called 'well rested' which I think is one of the concealers- it seemed to make a difference to dark areas under the eyes.

Not sure about that warmth though, it's a bit brown... I wonder if there's a pinky equivalent?

Now I want some of the eye shadow ones, which i can't get hold of over here. Anyone tried those yet?

one question though- do you use it on your eye area , lids and under eye?
does it not accentuate the wrinkles?

Cheerful, yes they do lots of blushers or stuff called all over face color if the warmth is not for you. Try gently blending the visible pore areas with a damp sponge or finger and I find it reduces the problem.

Not settling in my wrinkles, and I have some. It's very subtle make up. Nice.

I am a bit shiny, three hours on, but it's hot and I didn't use primer, which I usually do. No where near as bad as usual though, and I kind of look naturally shiney, rather than looking like my make up is sliding around my face, I'm sure you know what I mean!

It's not perfect, I don't think I will ever find a perfect foundation, but it is very nice. I will continue to use it.

Right now I know that Bare Minerals is the same stuff I'm going back into town on Tuesday to try some on in Debenhams! All excited.

Which primers are the best to use? Could probably do with one.

I tried to use Garnier BB underneath it today- epic fail... It didn't work well at all :(

My skin is fairly greasy on the t-zone but gets dry in winter.
