Has anyone removed all their pubic hair with hair remover cream (poss TMI but what the hell)

I just got a bit bored, covered my legs in nair and then thought 'what the hell' and slathered it all over me bits.

It's great. HUGELY satisfying to just pull the hair out in clumps.

Looks a bit odd though, have never had a brazillian or anything so is all new to me.

Make me wonder why you would have a brazillian actually when you can just put a bit of cream on, read a trash mag whislt perched on the edge of the bath, and then shower it off.

No pain, and cheap.

Hahaha at Norfolk - I thought you were going to say Abu Dhabi or something Grin

Electric imagine if you had someone else showing you how much hair you had down there because you were wavering about how far to go!

How funny getorf that you've inspired a mass nationwide depillation!

My Iranians are in London and it hurts a bit but it's worth it. Very good waxers don't really hurt at all especially if they use hot wax. And no you don't need to hold your bits but it does get gynaecological at times

Christ we all sound like a bunch of perves!

DP's reaction was rather sanguine, however my daughter's was very funny - this morning I was getting out the bath and she came in the bathroom 'good GOD mum you have had a brazillian WHY?'

Then I told her I used hair removing cream and she just still gave me the steely blues and asked why?

It felt like when my gran shouted at me for shaving my legs aged 14 and saying that I would henceforth be 'gallivanting with all the boys' Hmm

DD's verdict 'eww', I don't know whether it is just eww at bare fanjos per se, or eww at MUM with a bare fanjo. Grin

The worst bit for me wasn't the erm lips or bumhole but the mound bit at the front, bloody agony. I remember sitting on the tube afterwards feeling very naked and I could really feel my underwear.

ggirl · 06/08/2011 22:00

pmsl at aggressive Iranian waxers!

Thumbwitch · 07/08/2011 01:49

Hilarious thread!
PMSL at some of the experiences on here, especially nuclear winter old lady bits, and Honey and the Immac'd baby!

Getorf - be grateful your DD was disapproving - might have been a tad more concerning if she'd said "Oh cool mum, you're getting with the trend, I've been doing mine for ages", no?

Grin

Aloe vera gel in case of chemical burns, btw...

Honeydragon · 07/08/2011 08:34

I am pleased to report that my fanjo has remained unscathed. Dh however went ooooh you've shaved, how'd you do it without stubble?

teenyweenytadpole · 07/08/2011 08:43

This has to go in classics, it's the most hilarious thread I have read ever and has really made my morning.

ElectricSoftParade · 07/08/2011 09:14

DH came home last night to find me pissed and slightly hysterical looking seductive and all come hither.

When I dropped my drawers and showed him what I'd done revealed my new arrangements he actually shrieked and cowered away. I think I frightened him Grin

ggirl · 07/08/2011 09:20

Time to tackle the men's tackle then.
Will make them look like massive dong swinging porn stars ...they'll def go for it.

SilveryMoon · 07/08/2011 09:20

hahahahaha Electric that's very funny Grin

I will have to buy some removal cream today, meant to do it yesterday but forgot.
Doubt I'll take the whole lot off but wouldbe nice to be a bit tidier (not that I can see it over the left over baby-belly. Blush)

Honeydragon · 07/08/2011 09:21

Ha haha ha .....

Did he manage to get over it? (no pun intended)

ElectricSoftParade · 07/08/2011 09:35

Poor DH, he is quite shaken by my bare bits but is quite curious. Hopefully, in time, he will get over his shock GrinGrinGrin

Thumbwitch · 07/08/2011 09:49

My DH proudly showed me his shaven bits once (this was before we were married) - he'd been bored at home and decided to just deforest his bits. Well. The re-growth was entertaining! I think his general game plan was that I would reciprocate, but nae chance! Grin Anyway, if I had, we'd have been velcro'd together after about a week with the joint regrowth!

Honeydragon · 07/08/2011 09:53

Poor DH, he is quite shaken by my bare bits but is quite curious.

This is starting to sound like a pornographic version of Jungle Book. You Know where Mowgli sees a human girl for the first time and realises his future isn't a big old hairy bear.

Has your dh offered to carry a water urn?

MrsCampbellBlack · 07/08/2011 09:57

Right am going to try this - normally get waxed and this would be a lot lot cheaper.

Wonders if can nip out to boots today . . .

dreamworldfullofUNICORNS · 07/08/2011 10:16

I have had awful chemical burns from veeting my bumhole before.... but I like it smoooooth! and will probably end up veeting the lot off today and hope i dont have to deal with chlorine vs burns tomorrow!

Honeydragon · 07/08/2011 10:25

TheOriginalFAB

It's not too late come join us on the smooth side.......

all you have to do is nip to Boots and schlep some Veet on your bum hole Wink

I wonder if Getorf realised that her post would start by far the weirdest Mumsnet fad EVER.

Are you a Mumsnetter?

Babyliss Big Haired : Check
Slowcooker on : check
Mooncup inserted : Check
Scowled at able bodied person in disabled toilet this week : Check
Veeted your fadge : Check

Yup, you're on Mumsnet.

TheOriginalFAB · 07/08/2011 10:29

GrinGrin.

DH would pass out and not be impressed!

TheDailyWail · 07/08/2011 10:35

Oh how this has made my day!

Bunsouttheoven · 07/08/2011 10:41

Have loved this thread too, it caused such laughing I had to explain myself to DP. Loving the hats knitted for nuclear fall out protection.

However on a more scientificHmm point I want to hear from you all in a few days to see if the regrowth/ingrowing hairs cause problems.

Report back please before I get to work on my bumhole.

IHeartKingThistle · 07/08/2011 10:47

Love this thread!

OK the little pink spatula thing that comes with Veet Sensitive is for scraping off the cream when it's finished dissolving the hair. Use it like a razor and you don't get stubbly bits left behind. I tend to leave mine 10 mins but I wouldn't if it was the first time!

I can't believe I've just given strangers defuzzing advice...

TattyDevine · 07/08/2011 13:13

If you have a good general scratch about with a shower puff that should get rid of any strays.
