Has anyone removed all their pubic hair with hair remover cream (poss TMI but what the hell)

I just got a bit bored, covered my legs in nair and then thought 'what the hell' and slathered it all over me bits.

It's great. HUGELY satisfying to just pull the hair out in clumps.

Looks a bit odd though, have never had a brazillian or anything so is all new to me.

Make me wonder why you would have a brazillian actually when you can just put a bit of cream on, read a trash mag whislt perched on the edge of the bath, and then shower it off.

No pain, and cheap.

Following this thread gave me an idea.......

I now know:

  1. my pubic hair is where god had hidden my stretch marks.
  2. lack of bravery leaves your most intimate areas looking like a pubescent teen desperately cultivating the first few hairs
  3. tweezering the stragglers hurts like hell
  4. DH is going to laugh his socks off when he returns home at the weekend.

stoppingat3....

i could have told you that. Grin

i think i put my DH off his, erm, stride when he noticed....

QuinnFabray · 17/08/2011 22:10

Minipie, yes I have a designer stubble minge. No one ever goes down on me though, so it's okay.

GetOrfMoiSamsungFridgeFreezer · 17/08/2011 22:15

Hahaha at 'right getorf you bastard'

There is SOME benefit to having bollocking useless hair which takes ages to grow - I have only got a little bit of stubble despite having done the oirginal hair removal a couple of weeks ago. And no ingrowing hair. Am going ti whip the lost off again at the weeked.

So Nair's the new Baby Bottom Butter?

Maybe Nair will advertise it "As voted on MumsNet, best for removing anal hair"

Phoenix · 17/08/2011 22:44

Does the amount of hair lessen if you keep up with it?

My c section scar was quite a mess so I wouldn't go near that again but the rest of it wasn't too bad :) Definitely a better reaction than shaving. I get a bad rash after shaving but nothing with the nair :)

HouseOfBamboo · 17/08/2011 22:52

at "As voted on MumsNet, best for removing anal hair"

I hereby nominate it for Mumsnet Swears By. Not that I can vouch personally of course

CardyMow · 18/08/2011 01:40

I sooo want to give this a try on my lady jungle garden. Which hasn't been mowed since ds3 was born 6months ago. (Was interesting to say the least, trying to use my Quattro while 9 months pg). BUT... Veet doesn't do anything to my LEG hairs, even if I leave it on for 30 mins. Is it likely to cope with my fanjo fuzz?

thenightsky · 18/08/2011 10:19

I'm torn between giving it a go with the sensitive stuff or just wading straight in, sleeves rolled up, and a tube of Nair for Coarse Hair nuking cream.

Just googled brazilians. £20 in this part of the world.

This takes more courage than the dentist

meltedchocolate · 18/08/2011 10:25

I used to do it as a teen with the hair removal cream. I wont do it now as I am too lazy and I am not sure I like the look. I have a dedicated pair of scissors to trim. The Pube Scissors.

meltedchocolate · 18/08/2011 10:26

Just don't let it get into any flaps. You will bleed.

msshapelybottom · 19/08/2011 12:02

Oh god, the thought of bleeding flaps has just made me wince Grin

thenightsky, I now have a mental image of you going in with a flame thrower or some such high octane pube remover.

thenightsky · 19/08/2011 12:29

Right... have bought the Sensitive version. But reading small print it says don't use it on undercarriage/bumhole.

So what are you lot using then?

Have I bought the wrong stuff?

HouseOfBamboo · 20/08/2011 12:44

ha ha c'mon thenightsky, how did they word that one in the small print?

Was it "Don't any of you weirdos go smearing this stuff on your undercarriage or bumhole, you hear? We won't be responsible for the consequences."?

thenightsky · 20/08/2011 13:15

A bit contradictory really bamboo - front of box says suitable for use on underarms and bikini area. But back of box says not for use on perianal or genitals Confused

TaudrieTattoo · 20/08/2011 13:20

I have the same dilemma...I was reading all the smallprint in Boots. I bought some anyway but I daren't use it...what's the verdict?

HouseOfBamboo · 20/08/2011 14:04

thenightsky - ah, I guess by bikini they actually mean the 'peri-bikini' area then. Confused

madmomma · 22/08/2011 20:17

last time I tried this, I made the mistake of lying down while I was waiting for it to work... dozed of for a scary length of time and woke up with chemical burns on my fanny! I can't touch the stuff now Blush

thenightsky · 23/08/2011 09:26

Well. I did a patch test on a bit of hairy groin. Hair scraped off fine after about 6 mins, but I've been left with one or two red spots that are very itchy. I don't think I'll be doing the rest of of my undercarriage and will go back to shaving it off with trusty Venus razor.

grannybuttons · 27/12/2012 13:15

Our marriage was going through one of the normal down spots, so I decided to spice up our sex life. I bought Veet and some crotchless knickers, I removed my lady garden with the Veet, I must admit it did feel nice and smooth.
I put the Knicks on and covered myself up in my dressing gown.
My DH came home from work, I poured two glasses of wine, put one foot on a chair and let my dressing gown slip off me.
I said to DH "Would you like to get your tongue up here?"
He took one look and replied "You've got to be joking, look what it has done to your knickers".......

Bfryar32 · 25/02/2014 09:45

I know this is probably an old discussion but oh my god! It, really has brightened my day! This is some of the funniest stuff I have ever heard or been to embarrassed to ask lol thank u!!

Ifitaintbroke · 23/06/2014 22:30

I googled 'best hair removal cream' and this thread came up. I have laughed so much I have given myself an asthma attack. This would be a great comedy. Thanks ladies ,,,

Sight · 01/07/2014 11:25

This is possibly the funniest thread I've ever read. It's hysterical. I'm meant to be working and just googled for the best hair removal cream ( as you do in between emailing clients) . I never imagined that a thread on mums net would be so entertaining. I've used cream to remove hair on my fanjo and had no problems. Don't have a hairy AH though, or a baby to practice on and I've never had to use a Tesco freezer as a scratching post either.
When I next deforest I shall remember this thread. Thanks.

BlueHairedFreak · 28/02/2015 18:27

Just a cautionary note - if you decide to epilate rather than wax avoid getting a bit drunk first to numb the pain. Manually removing one of your lady lips from a Silk Epil is not something you will wish to repeat. However, once the tweezery wound heals, you'll be running to the waxing salon your buttcheeks splayed and never look back. Me and my waxer once took a selfish at the buttcheek moment.
