Sweedish Hasbeens for H&M

Bellebelle · 19/04/2011 21:21

So the range of shoes Sweedish Hasbeens have done for H&M goes into 150 stores worldwide tomorrow and I'm struggling to find out which stores are going to have them. Anyone found anything more than me?

I can't make out if this is going to be one of their limited ranges where people are queuing round the block and everything sells out in the first 5 minutes to be found on eBay for 4 times the price or if it's a bit lower key than that. I'm in Edinburgh and the designer ranges normally only go to Glasgow but I'm hoping we get them at the big store in town. Weighing up whether to slip out of the office in the morning or risk waiting until lunchtime, I am desperate to get some bargain hasbeens!

OMG my Lotta from Stockholm clogs arrived today. They are super cool and super comfy, I LOVE them, got the natural peep toes ones

Trying to resist buying a red pair ...

RamblingRosa · 03/05/2011 11:06

I have to report back that I wore my red H&M Hasbeens out for the first time on Sunday. Walked about for a couple of hours. I was worried that they would rub or be uncomfortable but they didn't hurt at all. Very pleased :) And they looked lovely (denim skirt, grey fitted top, blue cardi).

DonaAna · 03/05/2011 15:47

I wore my red Hasbeens for a week on a trip to Miami. Hot, humid, lots of walking and shopping. They are the best summer sandals ever! I think the heel is about 8.5 cm but it only feels about 4 cm because of the platform. They feel better on my feet than ballerina flats or flipflops.

Himalaya · 03/05/2011 17:38

Ooo my Hasbeens arrived today - the beige strappy ones.

Very lovely, especially the little indent on the instep of the wedge. quite comfy for the height. not mad cat lady at all (ok, maybe just a bit). Now I wish I'd got the red ones too.

DH looked at them (I think it was the six buckles to put your shoes on) and said 'I don't understand women and shoes'

Bellebelle - thanks for the tip off/reminder to buy them.

If I see anyone on the street with them on will be wondering if they are a MNer

DarrellRivers · 04/05/2011 13:38

I have mine
I like them lots

Bellebelle · 04/05/2011 19:57

I am ashamed to admit that I still haven't worn either of mine Blush and now it's meant to start raining here tomorrow for the next few days.

The comments above about them being super comfortable is good though, will wear at the weekend if weather allows.

I ordered a jacket from H&M two weeks ago online and it only arrived today.

Are the heels solid wood on these things?

MrsCampbellBlack · 04/05/2011 22:12

Mine are on the way apparently - am hoping they arrive tomorrow as at home all day.

mrsbumbledosem · 04/05/2011 22:26

I got the tan strappy ones with 6 buckles too - they are so comfortable and I know a thing or two about foot comfort. I wish I had got the sandal style as well...

jumpinghoops · 04/05/2011 22:44

Got my red ones in the post today - love, love, love them, maybe the tiniest bit big (though I sort of sized up). Look ace with many things and so comfy.

WillPenn · 05/05/2011 04:31

My red ones have arrived but I won't be able to wear them until June because I am on a work trip in the USA and they are at home in the UK. They weren't selling them online in the US, so I bought some on the UK website. Still, glad to hear they are really comfy - weather better be good when I get back so I can wear them!

tulpe · 05/05/2011 14:44

Mine arrived yesterday. Am not sure tbh.

I got the red ones. They fit but only just. The next size up would be too big, IMO.

They are a little clumpier than I was expecting. Haven't shown them to DH yet because he will laugh so I need to be sure of them first!

moragbellingham · 05/05/2011 14:54

Just noticed that real Hasbeens are down by 30% at ASOS. Still can't compare with these though for value. My expected arrival has been bumped to end of MaySad - Tulpe when did you order?

FluffyMummy123 · 05/05/2011 14:57

tulpe

they are vile
return em

tulpe · 05/05/2011 15:01

Morag I ordered mine on the day they went on sale which I think was 20 or 21 April. They had a delivery date of 25/26 April so they were delayed by a week.

iCod - I think you might be right. I really like the images of Hasbeens that I have seen before - on slebs/magazines etc. But I thought the sole might be a little more elegant......perhaps the originals are?

moragbellingham · 05/05/2011 15:02

Oh bum, I ordered on the same day. Must be from a new batch coming in or something.

LaToada · 05/05/2011 15:14

Mine came, they are waaaaay to narrow for my square feet Sad

and my sister's have just broken, the leather ankle strap pulled out of the staples on one side Sad at least mine will go to a good home

KristinaM · 05/05/2011 17:08

ignore cod, she is too old to understand Wink

RamblingRosa · 05/05/2011 19:34

Tulpe I thought my DP would laugh (he has a serious aversion to clumpy footwear) but he surprisingly liked them. I wasn't sure at first but after wearing them out for a day I love them.

Bellebelle · 05/05/2011 19:47

morag Ah, now you see your news of the reductions at ASOS present me with a dilemma. As I still haven't worn either of mine yet I can still return and get a refund of £70, then for an additional £38 I can get the real thing which TBH I think I might wear more than the H&M ones.

Hmmm, this is an unexpected twist in my search for Hasbeens.

MrsCampbellBlack · 05/05/2011 19:53

Mine arrived and they're good.

I have proper hasbeens from last year and a big chunk of wood has fallen off the heel so not that impressed with the quality to be honest.

RamblingRosa · 05/05/2011 20:31

My H&M Hasbeens came with their own special bag and an info sheet inside which said that the wood could chip easily and could be glued back on Hmm.

Also said you should care for the wood by rubbing it down with oil. And that you can sand it if they get stained or mucky. Oh, and don't wear in the rain!

tulpe · 05/05/2011 20:37

Rambling - I am married to a dutchman whom I have relentlessly taken the proverbial out of for wearing wood clogs as a child. When he clocks those sandals he is going to get his moment of revenge good and proper :o

KristinaM - perhaps Cod and I are similar ages then Wink

I really don't know: I have been really proactive in paring down my wardrobe to things I really and truly love and will wear a lot. It has given me a real insight to my true style leanings and I am not sure that these fit in. Perhaps I like the idea of them more than the reality, iyswim.

KristinaM · 05/05/2011 21:51

nah, no one is as old as cod. except me i think Grin

serves you right, tulpe , for mocking your poor DH
