Sweedish Hasbeens for H&M

So the range of shoes Sweedish Hasbeens have done for H&M goes into 150 stores worldwide tomorrow and I'm struggling to find out which stores are going to have them. Anyone found anything more than me?

I can't make out if this is going to be one of their limited ranges where people are queuing round the block and everything sells out in the first 5 minutes to be found on eBay for 4 times the price or if it's a bit lower key than that. I'm in Edinburgh and the designer ranges normally only go to Glasgow but I'm hoping we get them at the big store in town. Weighing up whether to slip out of the office in the morning or risk waiting until lunchtime, I am desperate to get some bargain hasbeens!

Saw the reports here about them being small made so scooted into town and very glad I did as I definitely needed the 7 and got the last red and White strappy pairs in a 7. I'd say they aren't too narrow as I have pretty wide feet and they're okay.

Oddly they're £5 more in store than online, the assistant didn't know why.

I would say that they're not quite as lovely as the 'real deal' but for the price they're great.

I know what some of you mean about potential frump effect but I think it depends on what you plan on wearing with them.

It does look like the website is getting updated with more sizes so what's currently sold out could come back in.

Also, this is the longest ever thread I've started - it's a good day! Smile

Sitting here in my red size 4s. I would say they are true to size, I am really a 3 1/2, and the 4s are a little loose. They are really comfy and a great running around height.

Very funny experience in the Dublin H&M, only myself and one other (very glamorous) lady interested in the hasbeens, she turned out to be another MNer. We MNers have such great taste.

tulpe · 20/04/2011 14:37

Verity - I just asked you this question on the A&W thread! Thanks for the input here. Was starting to be concerned and wondering if I could psych myself up for a trip to the shops in the lovely heat with 2 DCs in tow!

rococopops · 20/04/2011 14:38

New to this board and thread, but wanted to say I have just ordered the red ones in an 8, so worth checking back for big sizes as they only had small this morning :)

tulpe · 20/04/2011 14:43

Belle - do you think if they did half sizes then your regular size of 6.5 would have fitted??

Can you tell I am getting in a pickle?? :o

Bellebelle · 20/04/2011 15:41

Tulpe I agree they are actually true size. Post-DC's I think I actually am a 7 most of the time, I just can't admit it to myself!

They appear to be available in all sizes at the moment although for delivery in mid May. Took a chance and bought the red although fear they were not designed with my wide flippers feet in mind. Discount code very handy too!

Wyke129 · 20/04/2011 16:45

Call me stupid but I've just been to the H and M website and I can't see how to actually buy anything. I have added to wish let but can't see how to purchase. Please help!!

Wyke129 · 20/04/2011 17:06

Ignore the above. Have done it.

RamblingRosa · 20/04/2011 21:04

Right, cancelled my online order and bought some in store. They had loads in town. All sizes and colours. I got the red ones and I agree with everyone that said they come up small. I'm usually a 6.5 and if I would usually go for a 6 rather than a 7 but I got the 7s and they're quite snug!
I do like them though. And DP doesn't hate them as much as i thought he would (major clumpy shoe aversion :)).
Now the question is what do I wear them with? Any thoughts? How to make them look cool and not mumsy?

netbook · 20/04/2011 21:19

How comfortable are they Rambling? Wear shopping all day or just round to a friends for a coffee?
I'm normally a 7, and am wondering if I should get an 8, might order both

RamblingRosa · 20/04/2011 22:14

Not sure yet netbook. Haven't actually tried walking in them yet. They were tied together with a piece of elastic in the shop (you know those annoying ones to stop all the pairs getting mixed up but also stop you from walking around to see if they fit properly) which I haven't taken off yet. So I've only stood up in them. They seem very comfortable in terms of height and softness of leather. Possibly not so comfortable in terms of hard wooden sole.

The 7 says 40 on the sole (in my book 40 is more like a 6.5). I don't know if that helps. Lots of my shoes are 6s and these ones feel as snug as a 6. Usually if I got a 7 I'd expect it to be too loose. So yes, I'd probably try an 8 unless you're a very small 7 IYSWIM.

I'll walk around in them tomorrow and report back on comfort!

Frazzzled · 20/04/2011 23:04

I bought 2 pairs today, I am size 3 and size 3's fit me fine! It does say they will stretch!

IngridBergman · 21/04/2011 08:13

Thanks to this thread I managed to order some online last night - thankyou Smile

I think in terms of what you wear them with, flared jeans would be my initial thought, followed by swishy knee length skirt.

I wonder if the red ones will sell out before all the rest - they seem to be the most popular on here! Very different to the other styles. They do remind me of my mum circa 1978 Grin

FolornHope · 21/04/2011 08:21

I just don't think they are very nice. ugly rather school circa 1984 style. Nit even a beige one

moragbellingham · 21/04/2011 09:11

Anyone noticed that the price has gone up online since last night????!!!!! Now £34.99 instead of £29.99 - still tempted to get another colour which wasn't in stock last night thoughConfused.

moragbellingham · 21/04/2011 09:16

So, when I have 3 items in my shopping bag and go to checkout the Hasbeens miraculously disappearHmm.

tulpe · 21/04/2011 09:21

Morag I think the red and white ones were £29.99 and the others were £34.

Do you mean you are trying to buy 3 pairs of Hasbeens? Wonder if they are trying to stop people multi buying and ebaying them Hmm ?

IngridBergman · 21/04/2011 09:25

I spent ages last night trying to find other nice stuff to put in the baslet...I had about 6 things then all but two disappeared during checkout Hmm

NOT the hasbeens though, strangely. I think it means they are not available at the moment Sad Keep checking Morag, they seem a bit hit and miss.

moragbellingham · 21/04/2011 09:31

I have just tried, and been able to purchase multiples of sizes 3,6,& 7 with different delivery dates but no 4s!
Even a few of the kid's t-shirts disappearedConfused - surely those can't be that in demand!

No, I was buying bits and bobs and then thought let's test it out to see what's going on!

netbook · 21/04/2011 09:50

Bugger, they were all in stock last night, so thought I had time for some procrastination, this morning poof they are gone.

Would still be interested how comfortable they are rambling it's the hard wooden sole I was wondering about.

IngridBergman · 21/04/2011 09:53

I think their 'stock filter' only comes into play at checkout, that's the only thing I can think of that stuff is just disappearing.

HarlotOTara · 21/04/2011 10:29

I have ordered a pair of the red ones and have loved the original hasbeens for ages but not the price. I have seen the H&M ones on ebay for £55 or £75 - anyone desparate enough to pay that much?

FolornHope · 21/04/2011 10:35

they are pretty gopping arent they?

DonaAna · 21/04/2011 12:28

I tried on original, non-H&M Hasbeens a week ago with high hopes and they were just too uncomfortable. The hard leather straps cut into my feet.

Today I went to a H&M and tried on all of their Hasbeens. The white ones were too nurse-like for my taste, and the black ones had triple ankle straps that chafed a bit. But I bought a pair of the red ones (size 7/40) and have been walking in them ever since. I just have to say that I love them. I've tried the original ones and various knock-offs (Mohedas, Sanitas) but these have the best fit and prettiest color, a true red. These will be perfect with flares.
