Sweedish Hasbeens for H&M

So the range of shoes Sweedish Hasbeens have done for H&M goes into 150 stores worldwide tomorrow and I'm struggling to find out which stores are going to have them. Anyone found anything more than me?

I can't make out if this is going to be one of their limited ranges where people are queuing round the block and everything sells out in the first 5 minutes to be found on eBay for 4 times the price or if it's a bit lower key than that. I'm in Edinburgh and the designer ranges normally only go to Glasgow but I'm hoping we get them at the big store in town. Weighing up whether to slip out of the office in the morning or risk waiting until lunchtime, I am desperate to get some bargain hasbeens!

TOO OLD?>!

My red H&M ones have arrived (no special bag!) and I am really pleased with them - good value!

KristinaM · 06/05/2011 23:38

is that a rhetorical question, cod?

RamblingRosa · 07/05/2011 11:32

Did anyone see the picture in the style bit of Guardian mag today of Hasbeens. They looked identical (honestly couldn't tell the difference) to the H&M ones and cost £185 Shock. Makes me feel quite smug about my H&M ones.

150 odd posts on these monstrosities

I saw a woman wearing what looked like orange ones on yesterday. People were openly laughing at them.

tulpe · 07/05/2011 11:42

Rambling - I saw those in the Guardian. They are identical IMO. Ridiculous!

But then I think it was the same with the Matthew Williamson collaboration. I would be hard pushed to pay full wack for his designs because altho I like the design itself, the fabrics are often awful (or at least the ones in my local boutique are). The H&M ones were the same quality but £35 for a dress as opposed to £500 so I bought a few things :)

Kristina have discovered that whilst I secretly covet the kooky/edgy look that I am a classic and vintage girl at heart. Which is why my wardrobe was full of stuff that I just didn't wear. I loved the idea of it but couldn't make it work in reality. I spent ages going through my clothes and being brutally honest. I couldn't believe how much stuff I got rid of Blush but it has changed my attitude to shopping and (these Hasbeens aside) am much less prone to impulse shopping.

When I wear vintage it is always 50s dresses with messy hair and leggings. I would say the classic side of me is ankle skimming crops, straightleg jeans, ballet flats and good selection of merino & cashmere knitwear. I love scarves and wear them with almost everything. Its kind of a boring look I suppose but I feel comfortable and I don't think it is mumsy. If it was DH would be the first to say!

Mine arrived, not comfy. Straight to ebay I think as likely to get more for them than the refund...possibly...

tulpe · 07/05/2011 12:40

Ingrid - I am thinking ebay too. How much for postage though - they aren't terribly light weight!!

IngridBergman · 07/05/2011 13:29

I'd say about £4-5. Should be sufficient Smile

KristinaM · 07/05/2011 15:09

That's very interesting tulpe

I still buy things that fit me and and are in style but for some reason end up seldom worn. This really bugs me as despite not being married to a Dutch man, I still hate to waste money Wink

Maybe it's my style personality that's wrongConfused

Well I'm actually very pissed off now. I took some photos to put them on ebay this evening, then when I went to check the label, I realised the leather is COMING OFF on one side of the ankle strap, where it's attached to the heel. UNbelievable.

I can't sell them on, now and will have to return them - how rubbish is that? I literally wore them for about an hour round the house. I didn't run in them or pull them around or anything - they fit fine, but I did notice there is some stress on the strap/heel joint because when you raise your foot as you walk, you can't bend it, so it pulls the strap upwards. I wondered as I was wearing them how strong that point was.

Obviously it's not very strong. Hmm

IngridBergman · 08/05/2011 21:36

I don't particularly mind about the ebay thing btw - that was just annoying because I'd already taken pics. But the fact the leather just tore through the staples is just useless. Maybe I got a duff pair, I don't know.
