I think we are in danger of succumbing to Johnnie's foreplay- and he is working us up into t right lather.
The thought of 40% off has got us all weak at the knees.
No?

I bet it will be 40% off all the horrible crap no one wants.
You are warned.

Hi Tulpe Loving the sound of the sea green and purple Smile
I am still thinking about the sea green floral sleevless top... but must not order another thing until pay day next week!!

moragbellingham · 18/04/2011 17:46

Dresses just arrivedSmile!

AnonymousBird · 18/04/2011 17:50

OK!! I'm in!

Chambray dress - just not me, but I think I knew that before I ordered it

Knitted linen top - YUM! Have in two colours, the sea green and the fawny colour. Fawn one an inch shorter than the other, but otherwise, lovely lovely.

Jersey dress - not exactly sexy, but v comfortable and I am a major fan of one step dressing with no adjusting or fiddling around... Got it in green and blue, though the blue is TWO INCHES longer than the green in the same size. Green is perfect length, but I prefer the blue colour way!! What to do?! Try on again tomorrow I think...

One button cardigan - not for me I don't think, though may re try it tomorrow with a different combo underneath just in case.

Jersey blazer - didn't even take it out of the packet. Knew instantly it was a disaster and just not right.

Has anyone received the elastic espadrilles ? If so how do they fit?

AnonymousBird · 18/04/2011 19:07
blossoming · 18/04/2011 19:46

Can you get someone to them it anonymous?

blossoming · 18/04/2011 19:48

'hem' sorry!

kittya · 18/04/2011 20:13

I told you all that jersey blazer was totally horrid and cheap looking.

Yes Im interested in the brow espadrilles and wondering why they arent selling?

tulpe · 18/04/2011 21:11

Spoke too soon....the doorbell went within minutes of my last post.

So keeping:
Cropped cardi in aqua - stunning vibrant colour.

Linen top in seagreen - already worn today

Pink mini - wasn't sure about sizing but have gone for slightly snug fit as larger size was a bit too a-line (and the site image shows it more snug too). Love this as great alternative to shorts. Looks great with navy converse.

Azure linen dress - a bit of a strange shape in that it is quite roomy beneath bust and navel. Will be wearing layered over White long sleeve tee & leggings for now and then with plaited gold belt and sandals for strolling around Greek Island :)

Boatneck jumper in navy and carnation - love them both. Sizing varied between colours with the pink being slightly larger.

Johnnie B skinny jeans in vintage indigo are being exchanged for 30R as the long are way too long. They have definitely changed sizing from last year as I have the red ones in the same size and they fit perfectly. Length issues aside, these are very flattering to the bum!

Being returned are:
Cropped cardi in soft red - tis almost pink and I wanted a true red.
Plus the extra sizes I ordered for other items I am keeping.

Am really pleased as I didn't think much to any of it when I first flicked through the catalogue.

Meggles you know you will end up with the sea green top Wink. I am going to be good and see if it comes up in the sale in July.

polyhymnia · 18/04/2011 23:20

Getting confused about tops ...
tulpe is the linen top in seagreen you refer to the Linen mix jersey top at £22 ?? If so, you obviously like it, so it sounds like it would be worth a try, despite mixed revews. What sort of 'bottom' are you wearing it with?

And, if so, which is the 'sea green top' you also refer to which you're going to be good about (ie not buy yet) pendng sales?? Don't want to miss out on any gems/ good basics.

tulpe · 18/04/2011 23:35

polyhymnia - no I already have this one but also want to order this one .

teej · 18/04/2011 23:41

seeing as how you are still around, tulpe, would you mind me asking whether the sea green in the linen top is a pale green or a bluey-green?
tia!

tulpe · 18/04/2011 23:50

you just caught me, teej :) having one last look on here before bed!

The sea green is quite blue-green rather than an eau de nil shade, iysim. Tis very pretty though and wearable. I am quite pale and it doesn't make me look ill......which is always a bonus!

teej · 18/04/2011 23:56

thanks, tulpe - have the red, seagreen and fawn all sitting in my basket and can't decide which to go for!

kittya · 19/04/2011 07:24

All I got was a delivery note yesterday. That's another 24 hours before i can collect!

polyhymnia · 19/04/2011 09:34

Thanks, tulpe - like the one with sleeves.

polyhymnia · 19/04/2011 09:35

Actually, like the other one too but don't do sleeveless.

Still waiting for my delivery too.....Despatched last Friday, apparently.

Not that I think I'll get much wear out of a jacket and a long-sleeved cardi this week.

Thornham · 19/04/2011 16:25

I ordered the one-button cardigan in silver and really like it, though it's too thin to wear over the sailor striped Breton top that came with the same order, which had been my intention - just looks weird with the stripes showing through. It'll be great over a long-sleeved thin knit or jersey top though.

I also ordered the St Malo coatigan (ffs) in silver, to replace the Metropolitan in silver - a word to the wise for anyone who has either; they do NOT wash well at all - appalling pilling and shedding. I've been in extensive dialogue with Boden customer services about how to wash the Metropolitan but it's hopeless. It shed all over my kitchen and blew out of the french doors - my neighbour asked if I'd killed a sheep. I will give the St Malo a try but if it does the same thing, it'll go back too.

moragbellingham · 19/04/2011 16:59

Elastic espadrilles are on a 2 week wait for me....Sad

moragbellingham · 19/04/2011 17:00

ruby - I'm a 10/12 and squeezed in to the jeans - they're seriously low at the back when I sit down though.

JemimaMop · 19/04/2011 18:13

I have the elastic espadrilles, they are lovely. They do move when you walk, but no more than something like mules.

I have ordered the Breezy Jersey Tee in a couple of colourways as I need some more basic tops for summer. That is if summer isn't over by the weekend...

My one button cardigan arrived in mid blue. not at all sure about it. may be a bit too long and not sure what to wear it with so it may go back.
