Are we having a Boden frenzy?

I think we are in danger of succumbing to Johnnie's foreplay- and he is working us up into t right lather.
The thought of 40% off has got us all weak at the knees.
No?

I bet it will be 40% off all the horrible crap no one wants.
You are warned.

cardoon - this is the linen top in the sale

cardoon · 15/04/2011 13:46

ahhhh,...... nice, doggie, didn't really notice that - thought it just a T shirt, would indeed be lovely in linen.

I'm off to place my third order - don't want to do a fourth. Blush

doggiesayswoof · 15/04/2011 13:48

Smile it is addictive.

cardoon · 15/04/2011 13:55

My name is cardoon and I am a boden sale addict. Grin

cabbageroses · 15/04/2011 16:19

I cannot work out why some are coming via HDl- or similar courier and some R Mail.

Courier seems slightly quicker- about 2-3 days and RM about 4-5 days.
stll waiting for 3 dresses- exchanges from orignal order, the linen knit top and 2 scarves. All dispatched but not sure when will arrive.

I think I know why it is addictive:

there is practically no other clothes co- except the big name catalogues- where you cannot see the clothes in a shop.

Boden has 1 shop?

so whereas i will sometimes check out clothes in kew, Jigsaw, John Lewis concessions then decide to order or not online with discounts, you can't with Boden.

sometimes all that's eeded is a nano-second's feel of the material to thing No Way but you don't get that with a catalogue.

Damn you people for raving about the Metropolitan Shopper. EnvyEnvy I'm soooo tempted - would probably get the radish colour.

Tell me, does it smell all......mmm....leathery?

Meggles76 · 15/04/2011 18:37

Following the success of my items that arrived today, I have just ordered the navy marl stripe scarf for £12.33. I also have my eye on those elastic espadrilles for my week in France in July...

rookiemater · 15/04/2011 18:37

Oh well it was a cheap pig out, most of mines going back:

This skirt www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Skirts/Above-Knee-Skirts/WG402-DGT/Womens-Graphite-Belted-Pleat-Skirt.html is ludicrously undersized, sometimes I can get into a Boden size 12 but the 14 was way too tight on me and I have lost a bit of weight recently

Conversely these www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Trousers-Jeans/Trousers/WM300-LBR/Womens-Taupe-Flared-Chinos.html in the same size are too big and have big gapes of material at the front, strangely enough the black ones don't seem to be as bad so I am keeping them

I thought this would be nice and bright for summer www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Tops-T-shirts/Short-Sleeved-Tops/WL587-PBL/Womens-China-Blue-Applique-Jersey-Top.html but its not as bright and the cut is mumsy

and this is no good for those of us with boobs and a waist:
www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Knitwear/Jumpers/WK637-BLU/Womens-Delft-Stripe-Brittany-Jumper.html although the colouring is really nice.

Hmmm maybe I need a boatneck jumper...

Meggles76 · 15/04/2011 18:46

rookie I returned the white applique T-shirt a while back for the same reasons.

kittya · 15/04/2011 19:13

I like those elastic espidralles but, I paid £150 for a similar (but nicer) thing last year and I was paranoid every time I wore them as the elastic is just not tight enough. Infact, I should really eBay them.

moragbellingham · 15/04/2011 19:57

Missed out on the navy knot wedges and gone for the elastic espadrilles. Hope they're comfy - don't seem too high.

Ah, I binned the mercury spot scarf at the last minute. Thought silk + milk/juice never went down well.

tulpe · 15/04/2011 21:16

am in a sulk. Despite prompt despatch notice email yesterday, am still sans parcel of delights today Angry

Perhaps Johnnie Boy has worked out that I have only really ordered pretty much what I ordered a few days ago and he is now making me pay for my devious full-price dodging ways Hmm

It's such a bugger though because I really want to wear my boatneck jumpers. They are perfect for this inbetween weather.

Still can't decide about the Avignon jacket. Really like the eau de nil. If I order and keep then I will sell one of my current spring jackets on ebay.......honest Blush

Rookie their sizing is all over the place and has been for the last 2 seasons IMO: but definitely worse this season.

Am off to look at these espadrilles you are all raving about which I will undoubtedly jealously crave need.

There's plenty left still. I might get the brown ones on Monday, I'm just deciding whether to size up or not

tulpe · 15/04/2011 21:49

Pah! Decision made on the eau de nil Avignon jacket.......tis sold out Angry The only other colour I like is navy and having just bought a navy blazer from Zara not sure I can sneak that one past DH.....Hmm

neolara · 15/04/2011 21:55

Has anyone bought any jonnyB stuff for themselves. Would I be mad in getting these? I'm quite old but bizarrely short shorts tend to look ok generally. Or are they really only for teen bodies?

blossoming · 15/04/2011 21:59

tulpe, the size 8 pleat neck linen dress was too small. I've ordered 10R instead. Hopefully 3rd time lucky.

moragbellingham · 15/04/2011 22:16

Yes, I have bought johnnie b. The shorts were baggy in my normal XL, the skinny jeans were good.
Hit and miss really - a bit like the adult stuff.

moragbellingham · 15/04/2011 22:19

bloss - is it a "lady" dress? i.e. what my mother would like to see me wearing?
