Are we having a Boden frenzy?

I think we are in danger of succumbing to Johnnie's foreplay- and he is working us up into t right lather.
The thought of 40% off has got us all weak at the knees.
No?

I bet it will be 40% off all the horrible crap no one wants.

I've also ordered an Avignon jacket - in purple, which is one of my fave colours at the moment. And one of those layered chiffon cardis (in pale blue) which will do for work.

I was VERY tempted by the leather handbags, and have been salivating over these for a while, but even below £80 I can't justify it. Sad

I like the Chambray dress, but I just bought one in M&S Autograph that was nicer, tbh. And virtually the same price as Johnnie's sale bargain.

Oh god, I've just gone through and picked out 7 items and even with the sale price + the 15% off code it comes to over 200 quid.

I went back just now and ordered another top - had to do it, given i'd seen the 15% code here Grin.

Only found the sale had started this morning as one of the items in my basket had reduced itself. Much easier to find the bargains (or indeed, lack of) now they've sorted the layout.

Shame there doesn't seem to be any 'mini boden' in the sale.

thanks for reminding me, I only got a refund earlier in the week for two things and Id put four in the parcel. Now I just have to remember what they were, Ive sent so much back lately.

no, I remember they sent that stupid painterly top to me in a great big box so I put three other things from another parcel in it. The most expensive items werent refunded Sad

On a happier note, the stuff I ordered in the mid season sale yesterday just arrived (more pleasantries with the parcel man).... I think they are all keepers Grin

The linen knit short sleeve top is lovely - great with jeans, linen trousers (I still intend to wear despite the slating they got on here), denim skirt etc...

The navy boatneck jumper fits well and will be useful. Looks nice with the Boden yellow Breton under which I wear loads anyway.

I also ordered the navy knot leather wedges and was a bit unsure as I find that Boden shoes can be a bit hit and miss in terms of fitting me. They are high (but no bad thing when you are 5ft nothing like me) but comfy and again will go with plenty of things that I have in my wardrobe.

Meggles76 - yes I fear my neighbours are slightly suspicious about the frequency with which the delivery man knocks on my door..... goodness knows DH is :o

Good news on the navy boatneck. Did you size up? I find that knitwear and coats/jackets all need to be one size bigger with Boden.

Glad you liked the linen short sleeve top. I began to feel the pressure somewhat as a few people were ordering on the strength of my recommendation!

Re: blue wedges: I have a gorgeous buttery soft leather pair which DH bought for a wedding anniversary 2 years ago. I desperately want to wear them but can't seem to work out how to walk in them Confused. I know that sounds daft - especially as I frequently wear heels - but something about the shape of them makes me feel like a 5 year old wearing their mum's shoes Blush

Kittya - GL for getting the heels in time :) My recent orders have all had very quick deliveries - pretty much next day.

Tulpe I am a size 8 - 10 and ordered the 10 in this. It is quite short in length - even on me and I am very small - definitely don't think I would have wanted the 8 in this.

I am quite tempted by the linen top in the soft red - as long as it arrives while DH is at work Grin

Just wondering....can you return things you previously bought at full price and order againin the sale? Will Mr B refund the original price? Bought DD some things that are now much cheaper, esp if I use the 15% code too...thanks for that Grin

Saz - I have done exactly that with the linen top. Bought it last week for £33.15 and got it yesterday for just over £20. So I am returning the one from last week. Boden are very good about that sort of thing Smile

Elastic Espadrilles are gorgeous. I was almost put off by the reviews, but having worn them around the house they don't seem hard to walk in. They look fab.

Stripy Dress Top and Slouchy Dress Top (both in several colourways) are brilliant for DD. Just need to find some leggings to go with them, Boden is out of stock in her size and I'm having trouble finding plain leggings without flowers/buttons/bows etc in colours which would match.

oh keepcalmandcurryon - which colour shopper did you get, i just purchased the navy.

I swore to myself that we have far too much boden this season already and i would spend my money elsewhere from now on for this season. But i gave in and today ordered, dd1 2 t-shirts, dd2 a pair of dungarees, ds2 two pairs of cargos ds1 just a johnnie b hoodie. dp has 3 new polos winging his way and I went slightly mad for myself, 2 new bags, a tan satchel and navy metropolitan shopper, three scarves, the wrap dress in slate navajo, two pairs of sandals, 3 necklaces and a pair of full price sunnies. Blush

Well - I always say I'm going to swear off Boden but then they have sales...

It just so happens I have recently ordered a bag and scarf from Next - £28 and £12.50 respectively. I didn't really love either of them but I am skint so I sucked it up.

It turns out I can order the boden leather trim tote here and the stripy scarf for the same price as Next - both are in the sale, and with an extra 15% off.

So the next stuff might well be going back.

Added a couple of camis just to see what the fit is like - I am always on the look out for cami tops which are long enough and not too low cut.
