Anyone ordered this from The White Co?

Quite fancy it in navy, with tan flat sandals, big bracelet and a denim jacket.

That aqua Joules one is surprisingly nice - I thought they only did garish pastel polo shirts and quilted riding jackets. Think my boobs would fall right out of it though which is a shame :(

pinkhousesarebest · 11/03/2011 09:10

It is beautiful. I love the grey.

Would it be tight across the bust though for the bigger of boob?

doggiesayswoof · 11/03/2011 11:56

Not keen on linen and y to me it looks maternity.

I love that ebay wallis one, and the joules ones huckingfell linked to are indeed surprisingly ok

think I will go to JL and try them on - could be good for work if smartened up a bit with the right shoes, and good with flip flops too

SheWhoMustNotBeFlamed · 11/03/2011 12:14

Summer school run dress already!

The STRESS!!

carryon · 11/03/2011 12:21

You would have to be petite and very small busted to carry this off I think. I think it's a bit sack like to be honest with you.

cheesesarnie · 11/03/2011 12:25

op-its very unflattering.im size 4-6 but wouldnt wear this.
i love my simple h and m spotty sundress.

I really like it . I have a few dresses that shape that I just pull on and go . I think they are flattering.

withagoat · 12/03/2011 08:33

Love the John Lewis people tree and have ordered

moragbellingham · 12/03/2011 08:53

I like the WC double layer waisted one but not the linen one (not helpful).
It does look easy to wear - good length, decent coverage etc. but think it would be way too safe/plain for you.

I love the description though - supermarket, dentist dressSmile

moragbellingham · 12/03/2011 08:57

Just got some johnnie b 30's and they're going right back for some 32's (which is not my normal size). They are nice and tight over the calves though.

The shorts however, have completely different dimensions - enormous!

cornsilk678 · 12/03/2011 09:00

love that stripy people tree dress withagoat is that the one you ordered?

NinkyNonker · 12/03/2011 11:42

Joules have always done lovely sun dresses. Getting shorter and pricier though!

cornsilk678 · 12/03/2011 12:30

I ordered that wallis one from ebay and it came today - is lovely but a couple of inches above the knee - will be great on hols for over my bikini
Also received this one which is perfect.

Carrotsandcelery · 12/03/2011 12:37

Are you skinny? I think it would be fab and loose and cool on a hot day on someone skinny. If you are at all heavy on the bust it will look like a maternity dress though. The link to the other dress would look fab on a fuller bust and give more definition.
I am so glad that where I live a school run outfit can be whatever someone was wearing to do the garden in, go for a run in, paint the shed in etc. People who move here from more dressy areas rejoice in the simplicity of it (and we still get glammed up for a night out or to go for a nice lunch etc)

cornsilk678 · 12/03/2011 12:45

not skinny no - size 12 (trying to be a 10!)and 34dd so more curvy!

cabbageroses · 12/03/2011 13:29

I ordered their very similar dress last year- and sent it straight back. It made me look PG- not a good look in your late 50s.

it also creasedlike crazy simpy trying it on.

I though it might be nice for a holiday on a Greek island in 35C where you had to be covered for decency's sake- but not worry about fashion.

withagoat · 12/03/2011 14:26
