Anyone ordered this from The White Co?

Quite fancy it in navy, with tan flat sandals, big bracelet and a denim jacket.

Much too slutty for me, Mrs C! Have realised lately that anything too form-fitting and I no longer look like a hot young thing, but rather the Mum from American Pie

yoo maternity for me

withagoat · 10/03/2011 15:20

to all newcomers a school run dress means an ORDNIARY DRESS FOR EVERYDAY NOT WORK NOT A WEDDING LIKE A SUNDRESS

can we clear that up now

knitknack · 10/03/2011 15:25

I bought a brilliant dress on ebay the other day that would work for this look too...

here

Got it in brown too. I'm slim but have a 'pot' and it's very flattering :) I love the original dress, btw, but am way too lazy busy for linen

talkingnonsense · 10/03/2011 15:26

Sadly, for me looking like american pie mum would be an improvement!

withagoat · 10/03/2011 15:30

that wallis one I have and its UTTERLY amazing.,
i get about three compliments per wear - even popel in shops asking me where i got it.
"wallis" i have to reply cringeingly

knitknack · 10/03/2011 15:37

yes! it's great with tights and biker boots too!

MrsCampbellBlack · 10/03/2011 16:33

Like you don't shop in Wallis all the time Wink

Better mutton than mumsy - remember Smile

withagoat · 10/03/2011 16:34

lol
i went into a stand alone store recently.
depressing wasnt the word

MrsCampbellBlack · 10/03/2011 16:36

Oh they're scarey.

Have just received my Johnnie B white skinny jeans - very very good.

DuplicitousBitch · 10/03/2011 16:40

i have the wallis one too. v. comfie. i might even be thin enough this summer to wear it

DuplicitousBitch · 10/03/2011 16:40

oh tell me about johnnie b clothes, how wee do you have to be?

MrsCampbellBlack · 10/03/2011 16:46

They do come up small - I ordered the 28r jeans and I'm normally a 26inch in topshop etc.

But good price, nice quality and actually not too low slung either.

vjg13 · 10/03/2011 16:48

I like it but think it will be too high maintenance on the ironing front although sometimes linen can tumble dry well.

withagoat · 10/03/2011 16:50

johnnie b skinny jeans - ? top size =10?

DuplicitousBitch · 10/03/2011 16:50

thanks! think i will give gthe diet another 3 months before embarking on johnieb

MrsCampbellBlack · 10/03/2011 17:03

Withagoat - I think probably a 30 in johnnie B then - all the reviews suggest they come up small as well although I am carrying my winter weight currently Hmm

PlumSykes · 10/03/2011 18:53

dottyaboutstripes, are you saying you need me to order it, so I can give feedback and help you decide?

OP posts:
withagoat · 10/03/2011 18:54

BTW AM ALarmed to note the boden limited stuff is selling

iWILLdothis · 10/03/2011 19:38

Agree with DonaAna, I just don't do linen for that very reason.

iWILLdothis · 10/03/2011 19:40

oops i didn't see the second page Blush

madammecholet · 11/03/2011 07:57

I'm sorry, but this whole 'sch run outfit' does freak me out a bit.... why change unless you absolutely must as you are covered in dirt/wet/baby sick? Who are you impressing or is it just a personal thing that you cannot be seen in a certain way?

Plum do you live somewhere really hot? therefore by 3pm you need to change? Not having a dig, genuinely intrigued?

ps - dress ok, I think it would be comfy in heat..

HuckingFell · 11/03/2011 08:45

I would not go anywhere in gardening/painting/sun bathing clothes. Not even to the local shop.

I have standards. Grin

HuckingFell · 11/03/2011 08:48

i offer this

HuckingFell · 11/03/2011 08:58

this would look good with flip flops.
