I was even pleased when my hair got wet walking back from work today so I could dry it again

shuffle - babyliss does a root crimper for added volume

it's on my wishlist

NorkyButNice · 10/02/2011 21:37

Right - is this thing really a miracle worker?

That's me over there in the middle on the Will Young video -->

I have never managed to achieve straight hair without spending muchos moolah on a blow-dry. Will one of these work?

scottishmummy · 10/02/2011 21:39

imo,no miracle worker.adequate

cyb · 10/02/2011 21:40

Hmm your hair is VERILY curly, non?

Might not be industrial enough

Norky everyone in the WORLDS got one, could you do a test drive?

kerstina · 10/02/2011 21:40

It's effect is only as good as when the hairstylist uses a brush when drying your hair but that is why i think its fab as i could never do that myself ! Too lazy.

superv1xen · 10/02/2011 21:43

omg it sounds amazing

i have wavy, mega thick hair in a short graduated bob style, i love the style but its hard to get it perfectly sleek, would this help me do you think?

NorkyButNice · 10/02/2011 21:44

Yes my hair is like little orphan Annie on steroids...I'd spent hours taming it before meeting the other ladies and Will!

Next time I see one of those threads with someone saying "I'm so jealous of women with Afro hair" I think I'll stick a Babyliss Big Hair somewhere unmentionable.

cyb · 10/02/2011 21:44

How short is short?

The brush quite big but does a good job on my top layers which are just under ear length

cyb · 10/02/2011 21:45

lol NOrky

And press the whirrr button

DuplicitousBitch · 10/02/2011 21:49

i love that you can just do --> 'thats me' norky! i like your hair - you are soooo lucky (removes babyliss from bottom)

cyb · 10/02/2011 21:53

super do you have it blow dried at salon, and what size brush do they use

BBH brush good for long layers, not so good on my shorter layers at back, have to hold my hair in place on brush with hand as it whirrrrs but it still shapes it

OP posts:
DuplicitousBitch · 10/02/2011 21:55

CYB, i can hear that diffuser laughing in your wardrobe

scottishmummy · 10/02/2011 21:56

i like the posh bob

LadyBiscuit · 10/02/2011 22:10

I don't know why it's called Big Hair. If I blowdry my hair I look like struwwelpeter and this makes it smaller

MmeLindt · 10/02/2011 22:25

I had my hair cut today and it is even better.

pointylug · 10/02/2011 22:29

I have been babylissing my hair to death since Christmas.

I think I partly imagine how great it is and I just like the whole spinning-brush concept of the thing.

MmeLindt · 10/02/2011 22:32

Although I had my first BBL accident today. I was BBLing DD's hair and touched the brush barrel while it was on. Bloody hell, it was hot. Had to dip my hand in cold water for 10 mins.

ilythia · 10/02/2011 22:35

oh fgs I've only just got the hang of straighteners and now I need something else?

laosvher · 10/02/2011 22:36

what is BBL?

MmeLindt · 10/02/2011 22:38

Babyliss Big Hair BBH

Much better than straightners, bouncy and swishy rather than poker straight. And easier to use.

laosvher · 10/02/2011 22:39

Ahh, thought it was some sort of technique I was missing
Have you touched the end of the barrel? Think my fingertips are blistering Blush

MmeLindt · 10/02/2011 22:41

I touched the brush bit. Cold water for 10 mins and it was ok.

Redfox · 10/02/2011 22:44

After reading about babyliss on here I brought one too last week in boots. I agree it's good, it won't change my life but I am impressed as my hair is fairly long and thick and it's much easier than trying to blow dry it myself with a brush etc
However I have a question, is it meant to rotate on the 2 hot settings? (but not on the cool setting)
Mine only rotates on the hottest setting...
