H there's that big one in your very neighbourhood isn't there? or is it no good? I've only been to the cinema there ...

abo I've tried on that lace top it's lovely

PlumSykes · 15/01/2011 13:10

Oh Everything, I'm so pleased. Such a positive step towards a brighter, lighter, happier life.

hellsbelles · 15/01/2011 13:10

Cake - do you mean the Angel centre?...it's a bit pants to be honest...although it's got better since H&M landed.

AllBuggiedOut · 15/01/2011 13:13

Good news everything.

Great price for the tank cake. Might it work with my J Brand taupe skinnies and sky-high hasbeens for the summer, do you think?

PlumSykes · 15/01/2011 13:13

You know, hells, when I lived in N1 and then N8 before I had the children, I was so sniffy about shopping centres, prefering narrow doorways, funny Victorian arcades and a distinct lack of loos/changing facilities. Now, I just live for lifts, parking and breast feeding rooms! Lucky I moved to Cardiff, which is just one big Brent Cross!

AllBuggiedOut · 15/01/2011 13:15

lol at Cardiff being one big Brent Cross Grin

LetThemEatCake · 15/01/2011 13:15

is that what it's called .. just drove past the other night and it was all lit up and glitzy and I though "ooh lucky hells" But didn't know what shops lay within.

ABO I saw MP's lace tights too - fabulous! Also liked her top. Too severe/ groomed a look for me overall but she looks fabulous

Fritzi you evil thing linking to that purple HH dress ... Grin

right, reiss won't hold £14 gold top until Tues (fair enough) so do I leave it with shopping gods or buy online? what do you think?

LetThemEatCake · 15/01/2011 13:16

oooh x-post ABO. It deffo would!! it's a very dull gold. Shall I just order us both one and save having to pay 2 lots of (exorbitant) £4.95 shipping??

Fleecy · 15/01/2011 13:17

cake I can really see you in that tank - are you going to snap it up? I have one from Reiss in that shape and they come up big but tuck in well. And on the food topic, yes, I'm not good with dieting, I don't have your control so just end up feeling guilty and cross with myself all the time. Good for you for not feeling that way (much!).

everything can see how that would feel strange. Sad but positive as well. Hope the move goes smoothly.

bloss - a dance off - I love it! No advice to give on the job I'm afraid. Sounds like a difficult decision.

Fleecy · 15/01/2011 13:19

Cross-posts there re tank

traceybath · 15/01/2011 13:28

Everything - yeay for the house. A stressful but exciting time for you Smile

Yeay for Bloss and her dance-off Grin

Bargain tank LTEC.

ABO - lovely lace top.

Popped into town this morning but couldn't really be bothered to shop Shock - think its because all the shops look such a mess at the moment.

Choo - did you get the LV scarf is it gorgeous?

loobylu3 · 15/01/2011 13:28

You girls are so prolific!

Had a really busy day yesterday at work and got back late so lovely to catch up on here!

everything- congratulations on your new house. The first step towards your wonderful new life. Conversations with relatives must be v difficult. I hope you are getting a little more support now :)

fritzi- love the LK Bennett dress you linked to in the blue colour!

bloss- you must have made a good first impression to be offered a job so quickly! Could you negotiate two- three days instead?

mac- like your shorts! The trousers are nice but not for me as too pear shaped to suit.

ABO- love your lace top from asos. I also liked those Dune boots. I think I linked to them a few months ago actually!

carciofi- those long vests are so useful in pregnancy.

marsha-congratulations on babybrady's big milestone! I also love Liberty; it's my favourite shop- so full of character and wonderful things. I love the building too! Having said all that, I haven't actually been there in many years!

red- hope you had a lovely night out! Can I see your pics please? :) We have lots of family in S/pore (husband's side).

Thx for feedback on Whistles leopard dress- have ruled it out due to being too frilly.

I have received my shredding DVD from Tescos entertainment but still need hand weights so can put it off for a little longer :)

Apologies for not replying to group e mails re meet up. Will try to have a look at all the lovely links if I have a bit of time later but I am not London based so probably not the best person to ask for an opinion.

traceybath · 15/01/2011 13:30

Oh what time are people getting to londinium on the 19th (those who are travelling) - need to book my train . . .

hellsbelles · 15/01/2011 13:31

it's a bit of an odd place...gap & H&M are the highlights! There are some lovely boutique shops in islington but not very child friend in my opinion..

Bloss - is there video of this dance off? The thought just makes me chuckle so much - fabulous!

ABO - great tights...I got some pretty similar wolford ones in the nap sale....love them

PlumSykes · 15/01/2011 13:34

Cake, am very impressed with your bread-eating. I, on the other hand, have decided to ditch wheat. Have done it before, and felt much better, but Just. Love. Fresh. Bread. So always end up eating it again-esp. when PG (which I'm not, BTW!). However, yesterday, after lovely wedding dress shopping trip, we went for lunch and I gobbled up 3 pieces of pumpkin seed loaf. 40mins later, the headache comes, speech sounds slurry (to me) I feel like I'm wading thru soup and in need of a nap. I know it's the bread, so it's time to say NO, but it's like crack!

LetThemEatCake · 15/01/2011 13:41

Plum wheat is evil. Gave it up nearly 3 years ago and now only have wheat-free options like spelt and rye (when I am not making sign of cross at carbs that is) Hence yesterday's light rye bread and my love of Harry Eastwood and her use of rice flour

LetThemEatCake · 15/01/2011 13:48

And yes, it used to have similar effect on me. So sleepy. So very sleepy and lethargic.

But mmmmm, the taste the smell ... like crack, I agree.

MarshaBrady · 15/01/2011 13:50

Yes what time do we want to meet?

lol at PB Ltec

like the tank a lot

OllieWollieWoo · 15/01/2011 13:56

Did you see any nice dresses Plum ?- I love a good wedding dress chat!

Am Shockéd. A friend and I were just discussing our Boden orders (stripey jacket for DS2 - v cute, PJ trousers for me - fine, yet to try on cropped cardi) and someone she knows ordered 90 seperate items - and she only has one child!!! She must be one of Johnnie's best customers!

Due to my shocking ability to say no, I've have agreed to help a friend out and host a (ssshh) Tupperware Party this coming Thursday....the shame!

traceybath · 15/01/2011 14:08

Marsha - these are so you - or at least I imagine them to be Smile

So I decided against the LV scarf and umm instead ordered these to wear with ankle skimming skinnies hopefully.

Fleecy · 15/01/2011 14:09

marsha thanks for all your hard work on the venues. I don't mind where we go (within reason budget-wise but think you've got that covered!) and as I've only been to one of the places on the list and that was many years ago, I'll leave it up to those in the know.

Funny you should mention Harry Eastwood cake - it's my Granny's 86th birthday this week and we're throwing a party for her here next Saturday afternoon. Am going to make the light chocolate cake for the birthday cake as I know she likes it. Yummy and not too bad for you as cakes go - my Mum may even allow my Dad a slice!

ReineDeSaba · 15/01/2011 14:10

Have had computer issues(dd2 pulled all the keys off Shock so only just catching up now.

Have pmed you marsha re-bars as going to investigate this afternoon at a birthday lunch

Also pmed carciofi bunny and cake re westfield minimeet.

Have party this evening so may not get back to computer till tomorrow but hope everyone has fab weekends.

LetThemEatCake · 15/01/2011 14:31

Have fun tonight reine, what are you wearing?

fleecy that one is my fave. We made it, complete with rosebuds, for my birthday last month. So delicious.

MarshaBrady · 15/01/2011 15:05

Reine sounds great and fortuitous!

I am struggling to think or even know if there is a grown up enough place for us. Is this why I go to friend's houses now?

Or people huddle in private members clubs, the rest can be noisy...

FritziGreenEyes · 15/01/2011 15:20

tracey LHR around 8a.m. if you fancy breakfast Wink?
