Is anyone else planning to quit smoking in the new year?

I'm going to give it another try at quitting smoking in the new year. My DC hate that I smoke and I hate the way it makes my health. Added to the fact I actually can't afford to smoke I think it's time I kicked the habit. I will be using a vape though as previous attempts with this seemed to last a lot longer than patches and going cold turkey ect. Anyone want to join me new years day in trying to kick the habit?

That's so strange @Dollymac
I was thinking about the same thing the other day when dh and I were discussing the summer holiday.
Funny, as I managed another night drinking without the vape without even thinking about it. It's so strange how you associate things

I thought I'd feel less tired but I'm shattered and finding it hard to sleep. Is this normal?

Please can I pop into this thread to say that I delayed quitting for years over those holiday cigarette type fears. I didn't really have them , when I actually stopped. Honestly, you can choose not to. It's only a brain association, and you are in charge of that. Just find a way to quickly move your head on every time you think like that. Or maybe write a list of things to do to busy yourself for that 5 minutes.
