Hoping you can help me. I bought a Healthiersmoker (???) e/vape thing - sorry the woman wasn't much help - for £20. I put menthol liquid in and it just makes me cough immediately. I used it (coughing) all day Friday then back to cigs Friday night as we had people (smokers) over. Had a massive hangover on Saturday and was sick every 10-15 minutes until 4pm it didn't feel like just alcohol iykwim. Haven't dared touch it, or alcohol, since!

It doesn't taste mentholly to me, it does to dp. I don't know what to try or where to go from here.

Welcome HellKitty. This is a common problem with people new to vaping, and is very likely due to how you are using the e-cig. You need to use a different technique with e-cigs - much slower draws on it compared to a cigarette, little more than breathing in to start with until you get used to it.

You also need to drink plenty (no NOT alcohol, water will do!) when vaping, and rather than vaping constantly for 5-10 minutes then nothing for an hour or so you should try little & often e.g. 3-4 draws every few minutes.

Flavour is very much a personal thing, but chances are that any menthol flavour is being overcome by the coughing. Also remember that menthol on it's own is different from menthol flavouring in tobacco.

I was only having a puff every 5-10 minutes. And possibly not drinking enough water! I'm still feeling a little fragile so a bit scared to try again so soon. Could it be the type I'm using?

Well usually buy all my liquids from our vape shop which sells the tornado ones as I like to know there safe. I've just bit the bullet and ordered some from the pound site I've seen recommended so fingers crossed I will like ??

Hi thankyou yes that is where I've ordered from ive bn vaping a while but really getting into it now! Will have to try steeping as I've had a few that are tasteless maybe i need to get them back out and try again got my tank base stuck on my curve at the moment so can't do my usual swapping

29 hours since my last cig and I'm doing ok! But already my taste has changed and I'm not enjoying this flavour (tobacco with caramel) as much... Don't know if that's the lack of fags or my illness (tonsillitis) though.

magi I visited The Vapour rooms today! I was in Eastbourne for work for a few hours so looked it up.

They had one istick left but I didn't buy it because I don't want a blue one. It's a great size though and I really want one now.

Are the Fasttech prices in US dollars?

Oh and I bought some banana juice, it's rather nice. I'm wishing I'd bought Parma violet too though.

Megan - yes the FastTech prices are in US dollars. And as long as you spend at least $20 then you get tracked postage free - though it does take ages to arrive (3-6 weeks seems typical). It's great for spare coils etc too - though with everything there you need to make sure it specifies "genuine" or it's likely to be a (usually decent quality) clone. The word "style" in a name will always mean it's a clone of whatever it is!

Gnarly I very quickly went from a tobacco based flavour to mostly fruits. The tonsillitis will affect your taste too, and there's always the possibility of "vaper's tongue" where you seem to lose most of the flavour for a while. Try swapping to a completely different flavour for a few days or even hours, I would suggest a very "clean" tasting fruit like apple or grape.

My Aspire Premium kit arrived today! thought it would be here on Monday with the e liquids as I ordered on Friday morning but it's been delivered, so now so I have the kit but can't Vape..soo annoying

Hellkitty, everyone tends to cough a bit at first. You don't actually need to inhale at all as the nicotine is mostly absorbed through your mouth and nose. There's a bit of a thing at the moment for deep lung inhaling on high powered kit ('cloud chasing') but you don't have to do that if it's not comfortable. If it keeps happening you might be better with a VG based liquid (vegetable glycerine). Most liquid on the market contains high levels of PG (propylene glycol) which some people don't get on with.
