Lol, yep. I am a granny but I am a very cool granny

Have a good night out workingmum, its also hrd to type with a 7 monthold on your knee and a 4 year old screaming "but I want to go on the Cbeebies web-site".

ROFL
I have trained DD to play the games on the balamory bit of Cbeebies WEb site. Gives me enough time for cuppa anyway.

Give them both big cuddles and kisses from the nutter on the computer.

Actually DD has been V quiet for the past ten minutes better go and check on her.

Have a great Saturday Afternoon everyone

workingmumnhs · 28/01/2006 16:34

thought so. she is fast asleep on her bedroom floor listening to Aladdin story cd. Oh well DP has her tonight. NOT MY PROBLEM.

NotActuallyAMum · 28/01/2006 16:52

I've just been reading the old thread and noticed that you told me about a website for childless stepmums. Don't know how I managed to miss that post! Thank you ever so much, I'll have a look at that

NotActuallyAMum · 28/01/2006 16:52

Or even workingmum

NotActuallyAMum · 29/01/2006 10:39

Boo

I love this laptop!! We're on wireless too so I'm currently lying in bed tapping away

I'll wait for all the comments now telling me how lazy I am to be still in bed at this time

But I am getting up now (honest!) cos I have to get a shower and go food shopping - booo! That's my next thing - home delivery from Tesco, going to have a look on their website later

workingmumnhs · 29/01/2006 13:38

hello everyone. how are you all today. Does anyone have idea how much ballet lessons cost. After my DD watched DSD in her show this weekend she wants to do something herelf. I have always thought that I want her to do something when she gets older anyway. Anyway she was wrapped up in Angelina Ballerina this morning and I asked if she would like to learn to dance like Angelina she said she would so she could dress up like a fairy (of the princess variety not the other thank you)
I just have this idea that ballet classes are for the snobs and rich people amongst us. (No offense to anyone reading this who has had ballet lessons intended)

workingmumnhs · 29/01/2006 13:39

NAAM you aren't lazy. It is Sunday, lying in bed till midday is what Sundays are all about
That and breakfast in bed (which I didn't get today DP in a funny mood.)

NotActuallyAMum · 29/01/2006 14:59

Hello workingmum

I'm fully awake now getting geared up for the football match at 4 - come on united!!

One of my nieces had ballet lessons for a while, I've no idea how much it cost tho but she loved it - and she looked sooooo sweet in her costume. Don't think it's for rich people any more - may have been a few years ago but not any more

Now, do I open my bottle of vodka or not, hmmmmmm....

NotActuallyAMum · 29/01/2006 15:04

Squirrel there's a thread in Other Subjects called "squirrel in the loft"

Is it you?

workingmumnhs · 29/01/2006 15:58

NAAM
just open the vodka. after all it is past 6pm somewhere in the world

(which made her think)...

Workingmum - the vodka has had a bashing

Biglips - my dsd never talks about her mum to me but I know she talks to DP about her so perhaps that's just the way things are? I'm just guessing of course because that's how it is for me. What does your DP say about it?

We're through to the next round of the cup YAAAAAAAAYYYYY

Squirrel are you out of that loft yet??

NotActuallyAMum · 29/01/2006 21:12

Well - on Christmas Eve our telly broke - we have since had it fixed

Then on 27th December the washer packed up - we bought a new one

Since then we've been waiting for the 3rd thing cos we're told these things always come in 3's....now the Sky box has just buggered up!! Which means no football!!! NAAM is seriously fed up!! What can we possibly do to fill in the evening????

See you all tomorrow

biglips · 30/01/2006 09:41

well dp told her "That us not nice to say!" and i said that im not wanted anymore.. my DD will want me and will tell me everything and i will help her much as i can, and i can do the same with you but youre arent telling anything!"... she gave me a hug after i said that!

Dp said to me Dont worry about it as thats the way she had always been (as Dp even told her that she doesnt tell him anything either as her mum tell him everything)

biglips · 30/01/2006 09:43

oh dont worry about it NAAM as our house electricity packed in (NOTHING was working!!) and the fridge was stuffed with our Xmas dinner - arrgghhhh... we got teh electrician out anad found out the prob - it was the washing machine that packed in and was causing the electricty to go off... it had a full load in so managed to get the clothes out eventually!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 30/01/2006 10:41

Hello all

Bit of a hangover from all that vodka I drank yesterday - serves me right, I know

Hope everyone's OK and had a good weekend

Hello Squirrel

How was your weekend?

Squirrel3 · 30/01/2006 12:23

Ok thank you, I know you were making full use of your laptop over the weekend!

I'm hiding in my office eating my lunch, I can't see me sticking this job so I don't supose it will matter if I get caught on MN.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 30/01/2006 12:34

Oh dear, is it really that bad? Thought you would like it. Have to say tho first impressions of a job are usually very good - the last job I had I knew from day 2 that I wouldn't be there long. Will it be easy enough for you to find something else?

Still can't believe our bloody Sky box has broken! The washer I could cope without, but not the TV DP tried to ring them from work this morning but there was a queue of 45 minutes!!! So he'll ring in about an hour when he gets home

Squirrel3 · 30/01/2006 12:41

I should be able to find something else pretty easily.

It always takes ages to get through to Sky, we decided to order a film over the weekend but we have forgotten out pin number (it was on dp's phone that was stolen), dp tried tp phone up Sky but gave up because of the wait.

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 30/01/2006 12:58

Oh well, back to work, I may be finding it difficult becaue I'm not sleeping very well ATM.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 30/01/2006 13:01

Lack of sleep certainly won't help you. Have you always struggled to sleep or is there something on your mind?
