SiobhanW · 28/02/2006 14:50

Thanks all - Yes I do have good relationship with both Dss and g'friend and I'm sure she and he are sensible but by God it is a worry !! I am definitely my mum ....Aaaarghh!

SiobhanW · 28/02/2006 14:56

DH has called to say our village is in white out but as I'm in my layers in the unit and have no windows ( like a mushroom - kept in the dark and covered in Sh*t!!) I'm not too sure whether I'm going to have dig the car out, go on shank's ( hope not I live 10 miles away all up hill !!) or be OK!! It will all become clear once I trog off to the next meeting at 3.30 - minus the layers and with hair combed and lippy on trying to look like I mean business and not wondering whether anyone has bought milk, bread etc did I take the chicken out the freezer or am I about to give the family salmonella by defrosting it in the micro etc etc .... !!

SiobhanW · 28/02/2006 15:32

Bye all - I'm off to brave the elements - speak soon

NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 15:37

Good luck Siobhan Grin

People keep coming in and saying how cold it is outside, think it'll be hot chocolate in front of the fire for us tonight

NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 15:43

dsd just phoned to say thank you for her birthday presents. Bet DP told her to, but it was nice all the same Smile

Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 15:55

When was her birthday? What id you get for her?

OP posts:
tarantula · 28/02/2006 15:59

thats nice Naam Even if dp told her too at least she remembered.

NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 16:13

It's her birthday today - DP picked her up from school to open her presents. We bought her a little britain keyring that says 12 of the phrases from the show (quite an annoying thing but she loves it!), a little chocolate fountain machine and a few more bits for her bedroom when we decorate (curtains, rug, cushion, sheets). She wants it done in Playboy and the stuff is really expensive so she had some things for Christmas and the rest now. And we're taking her to the football match tomorrow, that's part of her birthday present too

Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 16:17

Hope she has a lovely day, shame you can't show her this because she might get to know all of your secrets and even worse tell BM them!

We could have had a happy birthday thread for her!

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 16:25

She'd love some of the daft greetings we put on here Grin But blimey, no - can't let her know I come on this site, she'd have a field day - and as you say, so would BM

Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 16:28

I often wonder what we would do if we found out that somebody we knew on here was actually the BM in disguise!

Maybe I am just paranoid! But what if she knew and decided to come on here to stir things up a bit?

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 16:30

I've thought the same too. We'd soon know though if it happened to us - she'd be shouting down the phone to DP straight away!! Our BM hasn't got a computer though - yet!!

tarantula · 28/02/2006 16:35

have to say my BM is totally computer phobic but dss is into them in a big way. mind you he jsut thinks we witter about borig stuff. If it aint games and action he aint interested Grin thankfully

NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 16:37

Likewise with dsd tarantula - if it doesn't involve MSN she doesn't want to know

NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 16:37

Loch Ness is starting to get very misty.....

And the sheep are back Grin

Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 16:41

Not if she were clever though, if I were 'the BM', I would try to get to know you all, befriend you all, get you all to lurve me, then stir trouble for 'the kids stepmum'.

Oh Dear, my mind is working over time here, Naam you are not really 'the \link{http://www.frightcatalog.com/images/large_catalog_images/200160_200160.jpg\BM}' are you? Wink

NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 16:43

Our BM isn't as good looking as that Grin

Ooohhh, claws out!!

workingmumnhs · 01/03/2006 09:13

Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to March.

How is everyone today. I was reading a book the other week in which a mother used a chat site on the internet where she could talk to other mums on a discussion board type thing and share their problems. Can;t find what she called it at the moment but it was something like mumstalk.com

Looked it up on the tinternet but couldn't find it. Do you think it was actually this site she was referring to.

NotActuallyAMum · 01/03/2006 09:52

Hello all Smile

workingmum it could well have been this site, we are famous Grin

I'm bloody freezing today - radiator in my office isn't very hot, can't get warm and my hands are really cold

How is everyone?

tarantula · 01/03/2006 09:59

NotActuallyAMum · 01/03/2006 10:08

Squirrel3 · 01/03/2006 10:22

Lovely here too! Got Super Tramp, Breakfast in America on the stereo, singing really loudly along to it, Lia is singing and 'dancing' along to it too. Grin

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 01/03/2006 10:26

Well you're doing better than me Squirrel - I've never even heard of Super Tramp Grin

SiobhanW · 01/03/2006 10:28
