tarantula · 28/02/2006 11:46

they are nice Squirrel but very filling. I make little ones, about 4 at once in the pan cos they are easier to turn over rahter than big ones like you do with the crepes. Got the recipe in an American book.

Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 11:51

So when we all go camping together its your apple and blackberry crumble and scotch pancakes for brekkie then!

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 11:52

They do sound lovely tarantula Smile

I chicken out completely and buy the stuff that you just add an egg and some milk to Blush

It took me 15 minutes to de-ice my car this morning!! I couldn't even get into the thing because the doors were frozen up and the windows were literally covered in ice. I was 10 minutes late for work but I got away with it Grin

Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 11:53

I bet you have got a great recipe for flapjacks too!

NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 11:54

Apple and blackberry crumble for brekkie?? I thought it was only us who did things like that. We had nan bread and left-over indian curry the other weekend....but it was nearly midday. And we've had left-over pizza before now too Grin

Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 11:55

Naam! Shock

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 12:02

I know Blush then I wonder why I'm fat.....

Never mind Grin

Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 12:05

From what you have said you are not fat, you only need to lose a little bit. I'd love to know how to shrink this tummy of mine. Blush

Maybe we need to ride bikes more often, tarantula seems to keep slim doing it.

Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 12:08

So whats hapening on the web cam today Naam?

OP posts:
tarantula · 28/02/2006 12:11

Looking forward to this camping now Grin Jsut so long as Naam doesnt want to camp under the tree Grin. Its funny how everything tastes soo much nicer when camping.

NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 12:11

Yes - 22 miles a day Shock still don't know how she does it

I keep saying I'm going to lose weight and I have a couple of good weeks then it all goes tits up!! But I've done it before and I always say if it bothered me that much then I would do it

Might lose some for summer, we go away on 10th June for a week Grin

SiobhanW · 28/02/2006 12:12

Morning ladies (oops afternoon)been in a meeting all morning ... seems I've F%%c%d up some accounts with a big client - accountant and dragon book - keeper are going to be soooo happy with me !!Well - it's my business ...!So how do you get the VAT back on an overcharge ??!! Anyway - Yipppeee pancackes or flippy over thingies as DD calls them !! Definitely maple syrup (small amount of butter YUM) and lemon for me!!

Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 12:13

That's it! I want to go camping with Tarantula!

Dp usually cooks when we go camping and I must say its pretty basic and a bit rubbish!

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 12:15

Siobhan, you run your own business, what kind of business is it?

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 12:15

Not seen any sheep yet today - think they're hiding because there's snow on the ground. Or maybe they are there but are camouflaged by the snow Grin

Do you really go camping tarantula? I mean - in a tent? I couldn't do that, dsd asked the other week if we could go camping. I said erm, no - you and your Dad can and I'll stay in a hotel nearby Grin but luckily DP doesn't like the idea either

A tent under a tree would get covered in bird poo wouldn't it? Just a thought... Grin

NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 12:17

Squirrel goes camping too???

Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 12:19

I love camping Naam, as long as you realise you are 'roughing it' it is great!

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 12:22

You got me looking! There is one sheep next to the bush on the right-and side field, don't know where the other one is.

SiobhanW · 28/02/2006 12:25

It's a contract cleaning and hygiene supplies company - did a major downshift after I had a rather nasty car crash and suffered the 2nd still - birth - gave up the corporate thing - had been CRM Director for an IT company but travelled all over the planet - could have been anywhere in the world all marriot hotels look mthe same!! open the curtains to see what the view was so I could work out where the hell I'd rocked up and who I had to see !! Anyway joined my brothers business and have spent 5 (long) and happy (still long) years here !!!

tarantula · 28/02/2006 12:25

lol Camping is brillaint fun Naam trust me.
got told I was the 'roughy toughy type' on one of hte camping threads Shock as we do it backpacking style with small tents Grin. Dp does most of our cooking too Squirel but it all tastes good tho that might be due to the freash air. when dd was 7 mnths she had her first 'real' meal as she refused the jar I'd bought her (it was yuck tbh Grin) and ended up eating mince and tatties with the rest of us.

NotActuallyAMum · 28/02/2006 12:26

Oohh 'eck no, I really don't think I could do that. I like my home comforts too much. Some friends of ours have a touring caravan but I don't care much for that idea either, too much like hard work. Lazy gits us, specially when it comes to holidays - we just want to do bugger all Grin We've got a week of sitting in the pub watching the world cup in June - bliss! Can't wait Grin

tarantula · 28/02/2006 12:29

blimey that sounds a bit complicated Siobhon. VAT??? Overcharge???? Shudder I hate finance stuff.

Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 12:35

Siobhan, Wow! What a life!

So exciting (and sad, sorry to hear about the sad stuff) but the rest of it sounds intriguing!

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 12:36

Naam, give me camping anyday!

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 28/02/2006 12:41

Tarantula dgd will not eat those blooming disgusting jars either, I much prefer to give her what we eat, she doesn't mind the powdered breakfasts and rusks (although she has started to eat weetabix) but apart from them she eats what we eat.
