Been up all night with a tummy bug too!!! Thought I was going to have to run to the loo halfway through the test! How embarassing would that have been?

Hope your lap top gets sorted out soon.

Hurrah!!! Knew you'd do it! well done. you need to put your feet up now and get dp to bring a bottle of bubbly home for you for tonight.

Squirrel3 · 20/01/2006 13:36

No such luck, its ds's birthday and we have the stepkids for the weekend, might open a bottle of veno though.

I'm still waiting for the electrician, he'd better come today or I'll have to take a day off the first week in a job, it won't look good will it?

OP posts:
tarantula · 20/01/2006 13:56

no that wouldnt look good at all. Would dp not beable to take time off tho if you cant?

Squirrel3 · 20/01/2006 14:00

Thinking about it he will have to, although he took a half day today to take me to my theory test.

Its 2pm, where is the electrician?

NotActuallyAMum · 20/01/2006 15:00

I'll get my people onto it Squirrel

He'll be with you before 4

LooptheLoop · 20/01/2006 15:11

CONGRATULATIONS SQUIRREL - excellent result!

You should definitely get that bottle of vino on ice and celebrate. Electrics sound a nightmare - hope the electrician turns up before the weekend. Fingers crossed sign x

Squirrel3 · 20/01/2006 15:12

Huh!

(at electicity board)

Just phoned them aparently they are not going to be able to get to me today, the electrician is going to be calling at some point to arrange another day!!!!!

I've got everything out of the meter cupboard and moved furniture and cupboard etc away from the electrical sockets so he had easy access to them, got to put it alll back now and hope dp can take a day off when they can do it!!! .......GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

[amgry]

I need a drink!!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
LooptheLoop · 20/01/2006 15:44

Have sent telepathic message to your DP to bring home a bottle of iced cold bubbly.

PS not sure my psychic hat is working properly today! Whoops.......

PPS This electrician better be good when he finally turns up - how annoying.

NotActuallyAMum · 20/01/2006 15:48

Gits!!

Squirrel3 · 20/01/2006 15:49

Lol, thanks loopy, the bubbly won't even touch the sides when it gets here, probably won't even put it in a glass!!!!!

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 20/01/2006 16:03

Just spoken to the electrician, he wants to pick up the keys from dp where he works, come here let himself in, do the job and drop the keys back to dp one day next week. I don't really want a workman left in the house on his own, what if he goes through my knicker draw?

Told him I would talk it over with dp and let him know.

NotActuallyAMum · 20/01/2006 16:10

Have this squirrel

and this too

Didn't know how to do the proper picture without all the writing I'm not quite that clever

Squirrel3 · 20/01/2006 16:18

At the risk of repeating myself thank you NAAM (I've lost counthow many times I have said thank you on this thread and its only a few days old, lol.)

Salmon, Bubbly, Belgian Chocolate and flowers....MMMMMMMmmmmmmm It doesn't get much better than that! Thanks!

I supose the silver lining is that I have had more time spend on here this afternoon than I thought I had.

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 20/01/2006 16:31

Got to go and pick up the stepkids now, talk to you later, I'll probably be able to post in the evenings. I'm going to really miss our daytime chat.

OP posts:
tarantula · 20/01/2006 16:55

Right I's goin home now to do sfa for the WHOLE weekend I hope anyway cos I'm knackered. Have a godo one everyone and hopefull I'll get 5 mins to chat on Monday. If you arent gonna be on in hte day Squirrel it might give me a boot to go fix my home puters (One just needs ant virus and stuff installed and the other needs a full reinstall so got no excuse really)

Squirrel3 · 22/01/2006 19:40

I am so p-ed of (I know this thread isn't the place to say it but...)

We had the stepkids this weekend and another £15 has gone missing, £10 from my purse, £5 from dp's wallet and dp did nothing! said he didn't want to accuse him!!!

I had only just started to leave my purse in full view again after the last time, I supose it means that I can not trust dss and I have to keep my purse with me at all times.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 23/01/2006 08:50

Morning all

tarantula I hope you managed to do nothing all weekend as planned - every time I say that it all goes tits up!!

Squirrel really sorry your dss is playing up again - so angry for you that DP won't do anything about it. Didn't he say last time that you were both going to mark your notes in some way then if any went missing he was going to speak to him about it?

tarantula · 23/01/2006 09:47

morning all. Thankfully I did get quite a relaxing weekend. Would have been better if dd hadnt decided that as she turned 2 last Sun she is now goign to be a total toddler and refuse her afternoon nap and go in for a total temper tantrum instead. Oh the joys of wee bratlings.

Sorry to hear you are still ahving problems with dss. Thats a real bummer. dunno what you can do about it mind bar keeping all your money hidden away.

NotActuallyAMum · 23/01/2006 09:56

Glad you managed to have a relaxing weekend tarantula despite dd throwing a paddy!!

Hope Squirrel's new job goes well, seems a bit strange knowing she won't be on here

tarantula · 23/01/2006 10:01

Oh gosh yes. that had slipped my mind. I hope it all goes well. Tho Im sure it will.

NotActuallyAMum · 23/01/2006 10:07

Yes I'm sure she'll be fine

Should get my laptop this week (what a bloody saga that's been!) then I can come on here in the evening - so I might even get some work done some days
