claire7676 · 22/02/2006 13:21

Don't know yet, but I do want to know!! Not patient enuf to wait!!! Will find out at next scan. Genuinely don't mind his time. Wanted dd to be a girl, thought it would be easier on everyone, IYSWIM: dss coz dads not got a new boy he lives with and for dd & I, less comparasions to dss! Have a feeling its a boy. Dh thinks girl, hopefully one of us is right!!

workingmumnhs · 22/02/2006 13:23

NotActuallyAMum · 22/02/2006 13:31

claire7676 · 22/02/2006 13:32

NotActuallyAMum · 22/02/2006 14:51

Wonder how squirrel got on? I'm sure she'll let us know

DP and I are having a few drinks tonight, no reason - we've just decided we want to

claire7676 · 22/02/2006 14:54

Sounds like a good enuf reason to me NAAM!

Squirrel3 · 22/02/2006 15:55

Goodness, you have been rather chatty today!

Well, do yo want the good news or the bad news?

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 22/02/2006 15:57

When anyone says that to me I always say "both please, bad news first" then they usually say they can't give the bad news first....

Squirrel3 · 22/02/2006 15:59

Well the bad news is, as from the 6th March I won't be able to be on here during the day , the good news is I got the job!

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 22/02/2006 16:04

Well done, that's fantastic

Did I remember right - is it in an estate agents?

Congratulations again

Squirrel3 · 22/02/2006 16:08

Yes you are right! Cor what a memory, mine is sadly going due to old age........

What am I doing on here? NAAM? Who are you? What is MN?.................

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 22/02/2006 16:12

Might have a drink or three tonight myself, got the stepkids I don't know why, but I'm stressed out about it already. I just know dss is going to be an obnoxious little and dsd is going to be a 'princess'.

I really shouldn't think that way when they are coming but the last few weekends and weds evenings have been difficult with them.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 22/02/2006 16:13

lol

My memory is good long-term but ask me what I did yesterday and I haven't got a clue

tarantula · 22/02/2006 16:15

Hurrah thats fab (about the job bit) Gonna miss chatting to you tho. Sure you wont have access at your new job?

Squirrel3 · 22/02/2006 16:24

I'm really I'm going to miss chatting with you.

Maybe I should have gone into the interview wearing this and calling everybody mate, whilst wiping my snotty nose on the back of my sleeve!

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 22/02/2006 16:24

It's awful isn't it when you know they're coming and you just know it's going to be fun for everyone else but you? I always feel like that - have done from the start. Keep waiting for it to get better and for me not to dread her visits, hasn't happened yet though....

Must make a note to come on here more often in the evenings I spend too much "work" time on here anyway [hope boss doesn't notice emoticon]

NotActuallyAMum · 22/02/2006 16:28

One of my nephews has one of those hats - I laughed at it and he said "I like it - it makes me look hard auntie"

Squirrel3 · 22/02/2006 16:53

Tarantula, make sure you wrap up warm for the journey home it is freezing!

I think I may have a little drink before they arrive (or would that be really naughty?)

OP posts:
workingmumnhs · 22/02/2006 18:46

Congratulation Squirrel. You deserve it. Welcome to the world of not using MN at work, It sucks

NotActuallyAMum · 22/02/2006 19:13

Certainly is bloody freezing out there, just been out to the bin, not going again!!

Squirrel3 · 23/02/2006 06:16

NAAM, you have got the laptop working again! Yay!

OP posts:
tarantula · 23/02/2006 08:19

lol I didnt think it was that cold this morning. At least the wind has died down and didnt have to battle it on the way in again. Its added 10 mins to my journey its been that bad!!! (going home has been a dream tho blown the whole way).
How did last night go Squirrel? did you manage to ahve a celebration at all? Hope you did.
PMSL re the 'hard' hat Naam. Ah bless isnt it funny the notions they get in their wee little heads (said in nice mumsy patronising voice )

Squirrel3 · 23/02/2006 08:27

Tarantula, its snowing quite hard here!

Didn't really get to celebrate, I did have a few drinks tho, but dp was to wrapped up in the kids to even notice me getting silently drunk in the corner.

I kept looking at dsd in her full make up thinking "why on earth would you let your dd go out like that?"

It was really weird seeing this 10 year old in full make up talking 'baby talk' to her daddy because she wanted some ice-cream!?!?
